Ram 2021
After an oil change at Pep Boys I got this recommendation to have these things done to the truck. It’s 2021 with 100,000 miles on it. Can someone help me prioritize these things because I can’t get it all done right now due to finances.

Don't go to pep boys. Find a reliable local mechanic with a reasonable labor charge not a chain. Alignment , fluid LEVELS, battery, oil change. If you dont know dont just throw your money somewhere because someone says to. Look in your OWNERS MANUEL , it will tell you checks that should be performed at specific intervals. If its not broke dont fix it unless its obvious that its going to break. Buy you some books on cars and motors , educate yourself. YouTube is full of anything that you want to know.

Deff not pep boys, look for a local shop with good reviews or ask around for a local mechanic. They are deff reaching for your money.
A guy from my Church runs a small mechanic shop. Prices are fair. Recently got done, changing a whooooooole lot of parts on a truck my dad gave me. One major part was the turbo charger, at a “reputable shop” you are looking at a couple thousand for the turbo and a couple thousand for the installation. My mechanic told me shop around find a new or used turbo and let me know. Idk how but found a brand new oem cummins turbo in California for $699 out the door, and I paid about $1,100 for all the other work including the turbo swap. I want to add he did not give me “a friend’s price or we go to the same Church price” I ask for no hand outs. But the point is, smaller shops will always charge less than these “name brand” shops. Almost always smaller shops are more honest as well.
Lastly, I would take the truck to another shop and verify all that needs to be done. You got this, one thing at a time. Good luck.

Arkansas, kansas is one state up and to the left. But either way ask around im sure there are good “mom and pop” shops. But in all honesty I wouldn’t worry about a “list” pep boys give you.

If you haven't done it before, get the tranny serviced first. Next would be the coolant and brake fluid. Struts/shocks last. Yes, they wear but are the least important unless they are leaking/bent/broken. The rest is worthless crap. Shop around for all those services, don't use that quote.
