Went for a pretty rough drive yesterday in mud and water. my pick up was smoking on the way back chalked it up to dirty exhaust pipes nope. Popped the hood. Tried to start her up this morning. Low idle then died every 5 seconds, can’t make it to work. Need help dealing with this. Checked lines from power steering pump and I couldn’t see anything pump itself doesn’t seem to leaking. Has anyone had this happen to them? I pulled the air intake as well to see if it was just a clogged filter, no luck. Any suggestions or advice with a tow and mechanic would be nice.

Sluggish acceleration

Yesterday, I noticed my 1999 Ram 2wd 5.2 bogging down when I would accelerate. This morning, I couldn't even get it to go much over 30mph. I plugged in my OBD 2 scanner and it pulled a P0132, P0301, P0420 and Pending P0300, P0303, forgot 6th code, P0305, P0307, In that order. My scanner wouldn't erase the codes, so I pulled over in a parking lot to disconnect the negative terminal to reset the computer. The codes cleared, but the mechanical issue persisted. After doing some research, I decided to replace the upstream O2 sensor, per the code P0132, hoping the P0420 was caused by faulty readings from a faulty sensor. After replacing the upstream O2 Sensor, I'm still having the same issue. No codes yet, either. I didn't disconnect the battery while I performed the work. Could that have made a difference? Anybody else have similar issues? To answer some possible questions ahead of time, I bought it in 2023 with 68,000 miles on it. Somewhere between 70 and 75,000 miles I did a full tune up. It is currently just under 111,000 miles.

2022 Ram 1500 power issue

My truck is working perfectly once it turns on but is acting as if it has a dead battery it’s been tested they say it’s not bad
It cranks some times
Also the rpm gauge is ticking as it returns to 1 when starting
As soon as it connects to cables it instantly starts
And runs fine no obvious power loss radio
a/c all electric parts work fine
But the issue is when it try’s to start

Context: I'm happy AF because I was limited to 1st and 2nd gear/my city limits basically for the whole summer. White Mountains, NH is a great place to be.

Keep or ditch

I’ve posted here before a good while ago on keeping or trading in my 2018 big horn ram for something else. At the time I was an idiot and was questioning keeping it over basic maintenance. However in the last year (20k miles or so, which puts it at 101k miles) it has given me nothing but problems. I’ve had to do:

Solenoid fix
E brake and hardware replacement
Rocker panel
Head gaskets
Manifold bolts
Touch screen replacement

And it’s going to the shop today because it won’t start (battery is only a year old) and I’m also getting a loud clunking underneath

I understand age related things crop up but at some point I feel like you have to draw the line and move on. I’m 9k in repairs in the last year and am getting to my limit on patience. This doesn’t feel acceptable for a truck with only 100k that’s not even ten years old. Are these the major things to worry about, should I expect more, or is this truck just a lemon? I’ve been thinking of maybe going to a mid size truck anyway since I don’t tie anything very heavy but wanted to gauge what people thought if these issues and whether it’s worth riding it out

1995 Dodge 1500 V8 2WD 70K miles. Opinions? About to go see the truck. Listed at 2.8 K USD / 4K CAD. Listing says drive and runs fine just needs rear brakes.

After an oil change at Pep Boys I got this recommendation to have these things done to the truck. It’s 2021 with 100,000 miles on it. Can someone help me prioritize these things because I can’t get it all done right now due to finances.

Has anyone tried to repair their dash on the Ram Limited and been successful? Mine finally gave up, and it’s outside warranty not sure if something I want to try myself or have professionally done. (2020 1500 limited)

I bought this Ram from IAA in Toronto, Ontario. It was burned in the front. I’m outside Canada now, and it may take 2 months to ship to my country. Does anyone know who made the fiberglass body kit or recognize the truck/previous owner?

Just got my 1st Ram, a 2023 Bighorn Crew cab. I have the Mopar/Ram Bedliner and cant stand the tackiness that it has as it leaves residue on anything that I put in it. Has anyone had success removing said tackiness successfully and if so whats the best way to do this

Rusted Oil Pan

I was just given the bad news that my 2020 Ram 2500 needs a new oil pan, when i got the oil changed. It is rusted. I climbed underneath, and sure enough, the rust is bad. It's not just surface rust.

So, I took it to my local mechanic. He quoted me around $1,200! So I did some research. This is a big job. It involves dropping the front differential or a front axle, a crossmember, the rack & pinion, and lifting the engine. Or something like all that. I checked multiple sources, there are a few hacks but it pretty much is more than what can be done in the driveway (which I no longer do because of age and eyesight).

So, my questions are:

Has anyone else had this issue? It seems to be common from what the internet is saying.

Did you use an aftermarket oil pan that is superior to the OEM pan?

Was it covered under warranty? Or if your vehicle warranty has expired, did you try to get a "Goodwill Repair" from Ram?

Blend Door Dilemma

This is the part, it had a broken plastic gear in it.

It’s a 3 pin, but I can only find 4 pin online.

Or, the 3 pin is a few hundred dollars. Crazy.

Is anyone able to source a 3 pin reasonably priced? Or can the 4 pin work?

Thanks, I appreciate the help.
