I’m an incoming MechE major at Drexel and I need know if it’s better to get a gaming laptop that can support CAD or if I should get a “regular” laptop and rely on the computer labs for CAD stuff

My son will be starting at Drexel university in the fall. I am looking for a personal trainer to work with him, either at the Drexel gym (they’ll allow it if I pay for the trainer’s day pass) or at another gym that is walking distance from Drexel (my son will not have a car). My son is not athletic and is introverted, he needs someone kind to encourage him and connect with him. Please let me know if you know of anyone. Thank you!

Hi everyone! I'll be doing my Co-op at Venerable (1475 Dunwoody Dr, West Chester, PA 19380). Since the SCDC had multiple positions listed from the same company and/or location, I was wondering 1) if anyone else will be doing their co-op there and 2) would be open to a carpooling deal. Thanks y'all!

Last year, I signed a lease at The Summit covering September 2025 to September 2026. I later received an out-of-state co-op during Round C and asked Summit to amend my lease while I was away. The process took months, but they finally issued a corrected lease in December covering my return from March through September 2026.

Fast-forward to March: Summit sent me numerous forms relating to move-in, insurance, account issues and my lease. One was renewal paperwork that I signed because I mistakenly believed it was reactivating my March–September lease. I did not realize I was agreeing to another full year after my current lease ended.

I only found out today that my lease was renewed for another year. I have another out-of-state co-op. Summit says the best it can do is amend the new lease for the first six months, leaving me responsible for living there or finding someone to take over the remaining March–August period.

The entire process feels extremely misleading. All my friends and roommates are moving out, and I do not want to return to Summit and live with random roommates.

Has anyone been in a similar situation, successfully canceled a Summit renewal? Any advice would be appreciated.

I’m currently at Community College of Philadelphia and planning to transfer to Drexel Nursing for Fall 2027. My current GPA is 3.6 and I’m close to finishing my associate degree.

Has anyone transferred into Drexel Nursing with a similar GPA? How competitive is a 3.6 for transfer admission?

I’m a rising freshman, and I was wondering what current co-op psychology scene is like. What companies/opportunities are popular? How is the day to day experience? What is the average pay, if any? I’m also looking to minor or double-major in neuroscience, so how could a background like that change job opportunities? I’m curious to see the scene, so any and all thoughts are appreciated.

How difficult is it to get a nursing co-op, especially for people applying for their first Co-Op on the five year track( Level I)? Do most nursing students secure one?

Both are full size, have been used a year, and are in great quality imo.
Bed has everything that came in the box (except the box), including instructions, screws and the tools to build it.
Mattress is the one in the link. Super clean, has always had a mattress protector and fitted and top sheet on it; no weird stains or anything.

I bought the desk from someone, so don't have a link. It's an L-desk; flat surfaces are all wood, with metal legs. Screws are attached, need a screwdriver for assembly. The desk is admittedly not in great quality, but works well if you prefer lighter desks like me.

So I’m an incoming freshman at Drexel and I’m gonna be majoring in interior design and I was just wondering what laptops people recommend? I was looking into a Lenovo thinkpad but I wasn’t sure which series/generation would be best. I know there’s a lot of specs that Drexel wants the laptop to meet so I just wanted to know what people recommended for that criteria.

Look I completely understand that we can take up to 4 credits during coop (since max credits per quarter is 20, co-op counts as 16, so we can take up to 4).

Does the 4 credits count if the class is a graduate class and if not, does that mean I would have to pay out of pocket for the class?

Some context is I am currently an undergraduate MechE student planning to do BS/MS and I got approval from my advisor to take a graduate class during coop (getting ahead since so when I eventually join BS/MS it counts for some of my MS GR electives). I don't want to pay more than I have to.

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

I heard that Drexel students can use their DragonCard to get into some UPenn libraries. Has anyone actually done this?

Do we just swipe our DragonCard at the entrance, or do we need to show it to someone?

Also, which UPenn libraries can we access, and during what hours?

Has anyone else received a co-op award agreement saying Steinbright Career Development Center would provide funds (8,000) to help with my unpaid co-op. If so did you receive the money yet? Has anyone else experienced something similar?

so i know that sounds crazy and yall are probably going to tell me to look at the term master schedule thing but it isnt there. i am taking this online PHIL class and the prof has exams online virtually individually with students. i emailed him earlier in the week and did not get a response. today i sent a message to my advisor and forwarded the email to her because wtf.

i have had problems with this guy earlier in the quarter but never like this. he just doesnt answer shit even though it is an online class and that is your ONE way of communication with the students.

anyways should i reply to his email? or send another one? text him? I have his phone number it is on the syllabus?

i am planning on putting in my discussion post like When is the final as the subject line or something. but yea. any recommendations?

UPDATE

I sent him another message late Friday night. He has sent out messages around this time before so I hoped I maybe would get him when he is online. It did not work. Today Sunday 8/30 one day before final exams begin I got a "response". He sent out a message to the whole class about scheduling for the exam. He sill start exams tomorrow Monday 8/31 and will end on Wednesday. Sadly i am only available tomorrow. I sent this message to my advisor because again there is a little over 24 hr notice on this and the exams which is CRAZY in my opinion but I will most likely send an email later today to schedule this exam for tomorrow. I still never got a response or any acknowledgment about emails but I know he has most likely read them because to schedule the exams he asks us to email him with times.

Hello everyone, I'm wondering how the Co-op situation currently is for EE and CE majors. Anyone getting interviews? Did those interviews lead anywhere? Do you hear from peers that they're struggling or getting interviews?

Hey everyone! I’ll be starting my co-op soon and will need to commute from around Drexel/University City to Newtown, PA 18940 on weekdays for about 6 months.

I was wondering if anyone already makes a similar drive for co-op/work and would be open to carpooling together. I’d be more than happy to contribute towards gas/tolls, and I think it could make the commute more convenient and cheaper for both sides.

I’m currently figuring out my transportation options for the co-op, so if you already drive towards Newtown/Bucks County from Philly and wouldn’t mind having someone join the commute, feel free to DM me. I’m flexible with pickup/drop-off locations around Drexel depending on what works.

Also, if anyone knows of any Drexel groups, Discords, or other places where people usually find co-op carpools, I’d really appreciate the suggestions!
