Image Pop satisfaction low

Im not sure why my pop satisfaction is so low as Brandenburg. Im catholic and it says that my pops are upset because of intolerance towards catholics. How does that make any sense

Maybe Im slow but whats the point of that stat? I checked and it says its because my ruler has the sinner trait but how can a country be intolerant of its own religion?

You just said it - because your ruler has a negative trait. If you want to improve this, there are some techs to research, I think there are some clergy privileges that increase primary faith tolerance. Increasing this number is quite imporant as it gives big boost to pop satisfaction, thus ncreasing overall control which improves literally everything.

You're taxing the poors to much, set taxes to keep commoner estate at 70-90% happiness.

Other pop satisfaction doesn't matter since there's too few of them. Burgers might in big cities, but tax from them is actually valuable.

This also means peasent disfranchisment is good since it lets you tax poors (indirectly via nobles) without them getting angry with you at all.
