OPEN Need Help Fixing La-Z-Boy Remote
I have a 20ish year old La-Z-Boy recliner with massage features that is no longer working properly. I can occasionally get the motors to turn on, but can't control it with the remote. As it is now, the lights on the remote flash when power is connected but then becomes unresponsive. I have tested the wires/pins on the board with a multimeter and the voltage and continuity seems to be working as expected (I think, I'm new to this). I'm not really sure what to look at next.

I see a 5V linear regulator at the top. Make sure you have 5V DC coming out if it is to power the ICs. The ICs need adequate power to operate the massage features of the chair. It enough voltage or power, it's going to have brownout condition failures, like intermittent operation of the features of the chair. It's a few cents to replace the 5V DC regulator. Looks like an LM7805 regulator in the TO220 package (double-check for me on this). If the linear voltage regulator gets hot to the touch with use, you can also buy a clip-on heatsink to help cool it down and increase its lifespan.
That's my analysis from looking at your photos.
I hope that helps.
