What sites do you use to get your repair parts, like the rubber pads, the plastic replacement buttons, stuff like that. I know where to get replacement electronic components.

So i just bought some connectors from ebay. These are the connectors that go on the pins of a tone arm catridge to the signal wires for a record player.

Ive tried to find what these are called and where to get them without paying 10 quid for four! There must be a company that bangs these out and costs peanuts, any help would be appreciated

OPEN Rgb light fan replacement

Post image

Hello, I work for a church and I've been going through their neglected equipment and we have a comple of these blizzard studios rocklite rgbw lighting stage fixtures there were very dusty and noisy. Upon opening to clean the dust and address the noise issue, I saw this fan name and model:

Runda RD8025S18H

I would like to replace all the fans as the light are working great but I have no idea if how different i can go on the amperage or voltage. Find an exact 80x80x25 18v 0.06a fan would be ideal.

OPEN Electric Kettle PID(?) not reading correctly - repair advice

Hi there, just joined this sub as I'm a pretty casual electronics tinkerer, though I need to get better at self diagnosing, etc. (I also really need to buy a multimeter, idk how I've made it this far)

Anyway, I have a Poliviar 7379 electric kettle that I'd like to repair rather than replace, the only issue with it is that the temperature readout is inconsistent, I imagine it's due to a faulty circuit component? For example, it will get up to boil, and then for pour over coffee, I set it to 96C but from there it acts rather erratically and doesn't really know what temperature it's at, sometimes it will ramp back up the heating element and resume boiling. Not sure why it began doing this.

With some searching it looks like they used a STRIX temperature controller in the kettle, if that helps.

Any tips on how to diagnose the issue would be appreciated! (I have a soldering iron and third hand device, planning to go get a multimeter asap. Have done mostly audio electrical repair/projects)

PVY Z20 Plus won’t turn on – help?

Hi, I have a PVY Z20 Plus that won’t turn on at all. The battery is charged, the key is in the correct position, and I hold the Power/M button, but the display stays completely dead.

Has anyone had the same issue? Any idea what I should check or how to fix it?

Thanks for any help!

Hi, got two cars for cheap with one having “oh It’s a dead battery” issue

Instead C8 popped and the car doesn’t initialise (see photos) also got new batteries just in case

Any idea of the value of this Capacitor or does anyone have a similar board available to lookup the value? Can’t seem to find the dataset for it

Thanks in advance

Reference for pogo pin search

I’d like to ask for your help in finding the part number for a pogo pin from a “Blazepod” pod. This connector allows the pods to be stacked on top of each other for charging, using the brass contact point (photo 1-3). The part is 7 mm long, less than 2 mm in diameter, and the piston is 2–3 mm long i'd say. It’s made of brass alloy and features a sleeve-and-piston contact. Finally, the part appears to be soldered to the small green circuit board shown in photos 4 and 5. In the first photo, the piston is missing.

OPEN My iPod 5th Gen 60 GB is not playing audio and getting stuck when trying to play a video

Hello, recently I purchased a "untested" iPod from ebay and wanted to mess around with it until it got working. I got it and unsurprisingly the HDD was sad, so I bought a iFlash Quad and put in a Samsung MicroSD card (EVO Select (Blue) UHS-I (U3) A2 V30) and after a restore it booted up just fine!

Unfortunately it only plays "soft static" when trying to play a song and when I try to play a video it goes to a black screen and stays on it, the only way to leave the black screen is rebooting it. From the research I have done it seems like the audio issue could be a malfunctioning Audio IC chip, but as for the video issue I have no idea. I have used both an older version of iTunes and HandBreak to get the proper video format but still no luck.

Any ideas? Thank you.

OPEN [PCB / Teardown Request] Internal PCB photos of Audiodesign Pro PMS U (Transmitter & Bodypack)

I am looking for clear internal PCB photos of the Audiodesign Pro PMS U wireless in-ear monitoring system.

If anyone owns this specific unit, could you please share photos of the internal boards for both the base transmitter and the bodypack receiver?

Specifically, I need:

  • High-resolution shots of the top and bottom of both PCBs.
  • Clear close-ups of the IC chip markings and component labels (audio processing, RF stage, and power section).

Thanks in advance for the help!

SOLVED Damaged magnetron?

Post image
25 Upvotes

Microwave started sparking. Some reserach suggested just the mica covering needing replacement. I removed the mica to get a better look at it and noticed the hole in the antenna (???) of the magnetron.

I always up to a DIY repair but im not sure I'm equipped/knowledgeable enough to handle the capacitor.

Any reommendations?

Edit: microwave is a LG LMC2075ST.BSSELGA

CLOSED HELP, I screwed up

I tried the rubberband method, superglue and using another tool. Nothing works. It's really tight and in a hole, so pliers won't work. Please please help me🙏

Edit: Thank you all for the replies. For now I will give up, because I don't have a drill or anything. But when I have the time and money I will give your suggestions a try.

I was trying to replace the circle pad, because it's damaged. But it still works fine for now.

OPEN Anyone in the area do minor surface mount boad repair?

Looking for someone local in the San Luis Obispo area to replace a mhf4 connector on a radio card. Should be pretty easy if you do surface mount and have the tools. I bent the collar and can not get the connector seat properly. The other 3 look fine. It just too tiny for my fat fingers and old eyes.
