This happened in Braintree town centre last night which my heart is my hometown, and I live near the area too. And I found out about the incident 30 minutes ago, and I just can't stop thinking about, and the fact with it being my own hometown makes it even more upsetting for me. But also why would someone want to do something like this in the first place? I have all these questions in my head which I can't seem to find an answer too.

I’m 22F who just moved to Braintree from Norfolk. I don’t know anyone in the area so am looking for good places to go, things to do in the area and surrounding areas etc? I’m someone who likes walks, reading, crafts, anything artistic really so if anyone knows of any good places to visit/places that are good for meeting new people I’d appreciate some suggestions. Yes, I know yesterday was East/West too but this chunk is more landscape than portrait.

It’s called the “city of Chelmsford” but you see this sign as far south as South Woodham Ferrers. Clearly the entire borough is not a city. Or is it?

Why is it so big? Surely it would make more sense just for the city itself to be a borough, and the surrounding areas given to neighbouring boroughs. Never understood why SWF is in Chelmsford rather than Maldon or Rochford. Anything south of the A12 in fact.
