I know I see alot of posts about problems with Eufy Cameras, but thought I'd write a positive post. Recently, someone tried to burn my house down. The cameras were able to catch the individual going onto my property, alert me to it and law enforcement was able to respond before the suspect was able to start the fire.
I've been nothing but impressed with the video quality of my 10 cameras, along with everyone who has watched the videos from the incident. I'm truly greatful that I purchased the cameras and how well they work.
I’m experiencing an oddity with my cams and white vehicles. We must have a minimum of 250 cars go by our house daily (large subdivision). My cam never gives a notification unless it’s a white vehicle. And this is despite me having adjusted my settings so that it doesn’t pick up the street. Has anyone else experienced this?
Ok, so I want to put up more cameras around my property and I am trying to stick with one brand so I can just use one app. I have a couple of E220's in my house (mainly to watch the dogs). I am thinking of a couple of S330's for my detached garage and backyard and an E340 (floodlight camera). Whats concerning is the delamination of the video doorbells and Eufy's reluctance to make it right. I dont want it to look like crap as I was thinking of a couple of E340 Video doorbells. Am I Wrong here? If not Eufy, any other brands you recommend?
Has anyone had their SoloCam S340 develop moisture/fogging inside the camera lens? Mine was installed outdoors and used normally, but water has somehow gotten inside the lens.
I contacted eufy, but they said the warranty has expired and won’t repair or replace it. They only offered a discount toward another camera.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Did eufy ever offer a repair or replacement, even outside the warranty period?
I’ve had multiple eufy products and haven’t experienced this before, so I’m curious if this is a known issue with the S340.
I know it is compatible with the Homebase Mini. But I want to know if it can be connected to the Homebase 3.
All the newer cameras that are featured on Homebase page are either solar or hardwired. I need something battery powered for cleaner installation that will be compatible with Homebase 3.
Hey guys was looking into getting a Familock S3 Max. The palm vein recognitions seems kinda cool. I would appreciate anyone’s advice on the long term view of this product and whether you would reccomend it.
I saw some previous reddit posts indicating some software quirks hopefully those are fixed now! Any advice would be much appreciated thanks!!
How is the performance of the standalone eufy cameras without homebase as far as AI accuracy, false alert avoidance, and event detection goes? I’m trying to avoid homebase because it just screams single point of failure to me.
This is a common problem with my doorbell, but it tends to fix itself after a day, or if I change some settings and then change them back. However, currently I can see my doorbell physically detecting motion with the red lights, but no motion notifications or recording are in the app. I used to use human only but that stopped working, and now all motion isn't working either. Is anyone else experiencing this?
If you have a eufy cam3, can you do a test to see if yours are behaving the same as mine?
I have three new eufy cam3, and all of them are behaving the same way.
If the motion detection setting is set with "ALL OTHER MOTIONS" checked, if you go into live view of that camera, it triggers a motion alert within a few seconds of entering live view.
Turning off the ALL OTHER MOTIONS solves this problem. This happens on all my eufy cam3 but not on any other eufy cams like 2, 2c etc...
There is no real motion. I confirmed it by taking the cams down, put it into a closet, and it does the same thing.
Eufy support thinks that when entering live view, something internal of the camera moves - some mechanical parts, perhaps causing the cam to shift or vibrate ever so slightly, and this slight movement of the camera causes the view to move accordingly and triggered a false motion. Their recommendation is to lower the motion sensitivity. I had it on 7, I tried 5, 3, 1, no difference. They than suggested I do not use this NO OTHER MOTION option, which makes no sense. Actually there was an option in the old software, during the night it will switch to ALL MOTIONS automatically, which is what I want, but they took this option away in the new software update.
So if you have an eufy cam3, can you test this and let me know if you check ALL OTHER MOTIONS, and go into live view, are you getting false motion alerts?
