Picked up a second one.

One of LGS's distributors had a sale on the 10rd models, so i was able to get this new for under 500. Already tried putting one of my extra surefire x300's on it, but it put the frame in such a bind that the trigger struggled to reset. So guess I will have to try a streamlight TLR1 on it.

Wait. A couple things. Did you buy another 509 in black, or is the other one in FDE? And the surefire 300 torqued on the frame prevented the trigger from resetting? Never heard of that might want to give that another go before swapping the light out

Only asking about the color bc I’m not sure why someone would buy two in the same color. At least with the FDE you could dye the grip another color

I picked up the used threaded FDE the other day, to use as a suppressor host, and picked up this black full size new in addition to that one.

I got to reading around and the x300 sometimes needs a bit of fitting to go on a 509. Tried with the picittiny and universal adapter. Had to push it on hard to get it to lock into the last rail, which is what seems to put torque on the frame. I'll have to pull another light off a Glock to double check as well. Might also try a B model x300
