Insomnia Syndrome is set on earth as it exists in the real world, but history branches into a different path because of an event called Dream Sibling. Nearly half of the world's population experiences the same dream. In the dream, even if they have a family, siblings, or are an only child in real life, they always have a younger brother. The younger brother is always a failure, while the dreamer themselves is always successful. The younger brother's face cannot be remembered. Before they wake up, they always see the younger brother standing on a railway track. They hear the sound of a train getting closer and feel the vibrations, but they cannot see the train. Then they wake up. Those who experience Dream Sibling remember the dream very clearly, except for the younger brother's face.

After Dream Sibling, these people can never sleep again. This is not simply insomnia. They have completely lost the ability to enter sleep, like a state of being half-alive and half-dead. At the same time, they begin to see spirits. From then on, society enters a new era where spiritual matters become a part of reality.

The cause behind Dream Sibling is called The Sibling. The Sibling is not exactly an “entity,” because its nature is more like a concept or paradox of the opposition of everything. For example, life is opposed to death, creation is opposed to destruction, and existence is opposed to non-existence. When something exists, its opposite also exists as a concept. The two sides continuously negate each other in every moment, throughout all time, both existing and not existing at the same time. The Sibling is the very nature of that opposition. Therefore, it can be said: “Everything is The Sibling.” Not because The Sibling transforms into everything, but because anything that exists has an opposite, and the paradoxical relationship between them is The Sibling itself. The face of the “younger brother” in the dream is a form of paradoxical information. When the person dreaming looks at it, their brain has to process a form of paradoxical information that it cannot possibly process, causing the brain to become overloaded. This causes them to be “negated” by sleep, making them both close to the state of the living and close to the state of the dead, as if they are continuously negating life and death. This is why they can see spirits, because they are both alive and dead.

Later, most of the people who experienced Dream Sibling end up taking up the profession of dealing with spiritual matters. They are called Exorcists. They are ranked as follows: Tier 1, the strongest in the standard system, followed by Tier 2, Tier 3, and so on, with Tier 12 being the weakest. Apex Tier is a special classification for people who are too powerful to be classified within the Tier 1-12 system. Apex Tier was initially recognized mainly based on actual achievements. Later, being recognized as Apex Tier also required tests from the International Spiritual Federation. This ranking system was originally used in the underground world, but because it became so common, the International Spiritual Federation adopted it as the official ranking system for both Exorcists and supernatural phenomena.

After the event of Dream Sibling, countless Spiritual Offices appeared around the world. There are both legal and illegal Offices, and people and organizations operating legally in this industry must follow the international licensing system.

Governments also decided to establish a joint agency specifically responsible for handling spiritual matters, called PARATRACK. With high military and economic potential, PARATRACK gradually became the standard that Spiritual Offices aspire to reach.

The International Spiritual Federation (ISF) is an independent international organization. The ISF has two roles: operating as an international organization capable of coordinating between countries and, more importantly, operating as an international professional federation that manages the spiritual industry. The ISF manages Exorcists, Spiritual Offices, professional licenses, the Tier system, Apex Tier recognition, and the standards, regulations, and discipline of the industry. Exorcists or Offices that want to operate legally must have a license from the ISF. The ISF's leadership structure is divided into several levels. The highest authority is the General Assembly of Delegates, which meets every 4-5 years to elect a new leadership structure. The decision-making and executive branch consists of the Executive Committee, President, Vice Presidents, and Secretary-General. The professional and supervisory branch consists of professional committees such as the Disciplinary Committee and Training Committee, while the Inspection Committee operates independently to supervise finances and the implementation of the regulations.

The elite force of the ISF's military corps is officially called the Red Beret. This force can undertake military operations, investigations, direct combat and handling of spiritual events, and international intervention. Members usually have abilities of Tier 4 or higher. They are equipped with the most modern and powerful military technologies and equipment, combined with the spiritual abilities of Exorcists. In the underground world, the Red Beret has the nickname “Solomon's Demons.”

The manga is a medieval fantasy; surprisingly, I envisioned something with a *Coraline* vibe, since the boy gets transported to another world—a medieval one—and the story includes horror elements. However, the fantasy setting is like *Game of Thrones*, but instead of focusing on political drama, it centers entirely on monsters living alongside humans. There are good monsters and bad monsters, but there are also morally grey humans—people who are neither purely good nor evil but try to change for the better, even though some act as catalysts for the story's evil. For instance, King Aycris—the villain of the first arc—was a human who enslaved giant eagles in that world. The real challenge will be creating a protagonist whom the reader initially hates because he’s an overly rebellious kid who treats everyone badly. Later, however, he undergoes a redemption arc; the medieval world and its monsters force him to truly mature and become a better person if he wants to survive long enough to return to the real world. Even though it might look like a trashy medieval monster manga on the surface, the core focus remains the main character's personal growth. The medieval world features humans living—or at least attempting to live—alongside monsters, but that serves merely as the backdrop for the plot.

two years after the war…a yellow knight with armor that looks like he was a mechanist , and like a bumble bee…on a sport dirty old motorcycle was driving around a desert space in the island

…hello everyone ..uh..this seem awkward ..lets get this straight again …my name is stinger, stinger-bee ,sometimes they just call me bee..am an edlink ,new generation,but who cares …anyway i live with my two uncles lance, Ryder and my mother max …its nice small world to be in…and my father …i dont recall anything about him ,in fact i didn't really know him….they he was once a legend..and he might be back or whatever…who knows , maybe ill get to see him..oh ,and another thing ,i like mechanic stuff..Ryder used to tech me those stuff ,it more like a life style more than a hobby …this motorcycle ,i built it ..am living my best life riding it ..it felt like a horse or something..who knows..just enjoy my life…

he arrive at the house next to the castle ,and gets in max open the door looking at him park his motorcycle ..she smile warmly..when she looks at him she remember zak …

max ; we were worried ,you are late ,the dinner is ready ad Ryder is starving…

he takes off the helmet and looks at her with a smile

stinger ; sorry mother ,i was enjoying the sunset and now am here….

she gesture for him to get in and walk in ..he get in an walks straight to kitchen washing his hands and sits next to Ryder

stinger ; it wasn't too bad ,the new upgrade on the engine was great ,especially the new oil i added ..

stinger ; am not a kid mother i know how to use these fists…

lance ; he is right max ,let him burry himself in his father figure..

stinger ; you guys keep saying those stuff about my father …

max ; maybe fate will tell you more about him stinger ,all you should know about is the edlink history

stinger nods and keep eating…that night they finish and everyone is in the living room sleeping ..and stinger was awake hands behind his head..as he notice a cockroach

stinger nods and hug her tight before putting on his helmet and gets on the motorcycle and start riding ..max smile was still there after h is gone…

stinger keep riding toward this island...it seemed weird and dark , but he trust himself to fight whatever get in his way ,and so he stops and start walking around checking if there is any clue about any history …he hears a voice coming his way ..he act fast and take his weapon out ,two sword blades that looks kinda thick chained together with yellow color…he take a defensive stance and look around …and suddenly e hear their laughter and chat so he y to hide behind a rock with his motorcycle..he looks through

two cyberlinks ..they were cyborg and white dragon..how did they survive ..he peek to see what are they doing..

cyborg brought some dark mask shaped like a crow ,and puts it down on some draw of cycle ..it looked like they were doing a ritual thing or more like… a portal ..stinger was worried and doesn't know what's happening..so he try to sneak and ride away from this situation ..and when he try to ..white dragon notice and try to fly to him

stinger ; oh sh\t…

before he can reach him…suddenly he got pushed by some punch or kind of fist ..dragon white is thrown away ..stinger look up..its another half edlinks half cyberlink …with electric cyber power and a tail that helped to punch him away ..cyborg notice him and walks off holding white dragon and flew away …the dragon-born look at him and gave him a hand

stinger takes it and gets up looking him up and down

stinger ; who are you ..

stinger was so confused

stinger ; and what are you exactly..or what is your story ..

sector ;i was once an edlink..my father and mother had gave birth to me when it was the war time …but the cyberlinks tried to kill my mother using some kind of power to turn someone into full cyber body…so they tried to do it but my father protected her…little that he know the power reached her stomach,and when i was born ,i was half cyberlink..and the other half is edlink…and they couldn't take me because of the threats..so they left me here ,and i had been growing among edlinks and learn everything about their life ,and am living like one..

stinger listen to him and feel him ,maybe he needed some family

stinger nods…as they finally arrive there and stinger open the door with sector behind him ..he walk to the living room as lance was reading and Ryder was working on his desk and max was housekeeping…

stinger ; hey guys ..

Ryder looks at him ; oh you already back..

stinger ; yea ,but ,i want you guys to meet my new friend

sector step forward ,lance look at him with shock because maybe he was cyberlink

lance ; what in the hell.. Ryder..

Ryder look up from the desk again ad widen his eye ,not out of fear but..a look of acknowledge…

max step forward to look up and she saw sector ,she gasp and put a hand on her mouth ..tears coming down …

lance look at them and dont know what is going on ,neither do stinger…max run and hugs sector so tight crying ,lance was about to get defensive and push max but Ryder stops him..Ryder knows him…

max pull back slowly and held his face …

max ; my sweet child …

stinger and lance jump when the hear her ,but Ryder knows that…

sector ;what ..did you say ..

max ; am really sorry sector ,i left you behind but please ,it wasn't my fault i promise you ..

sector hugs her back

sector ; its okay mother…father wasn't strong enough to protect me…

max sobbing ; no-no..dont say that about your father ,he did his best he was—

sector shut her again and looks at Ryder

sector ; even you couldn't….look at me now ,did i really deserve this ..

Ryder ; it was a mistake alright..sector we are sorry

sector snaps ; what do you mean with mistake , you were able to protect me ,but you left her

Ryder snaps back ; i didn't leave anybody ,i saved your father and mother and every edlink because of my lead am sick of people judging me like i was in a nap and left them ,you dont gt to blame anybody ,you were in mistakable problem …

stinger ; lets just take a break you guys low the ry-them …,sector please ,forgive my family ,our family we can get back together…its not worth fighting ,father saved us and he want us to save the tribe…

lance ; i guess the boy is right ,quit the drama you two …we have stuff to do ..

they all sit now and taking a breath..

lance ; do you know anything about the cyberlink after you survived ,or are they just ..gone

sector ; they are , after the lapis shatter every dielink and cyberlink has gone to the demise realm ,its the world that you can teleport to using different kind of portal , one of them is the lapis ..but not every cyberlink died ..still the two masters are alive ,cyborg and white dragon ,they found almost every tressure to ope the portal ,i couldn't beat them alone ,and i cant ask the edlink to help because of my whole appearance ,now that you know ,i need your help to cage them at least and see what can we do …

Ryder and everyone listens ,

Ryder ; its hard mission but i guess we can do that

stinger ; we need the token cutters ..

lance ; no ,they wont trust any one that has cyberlink lookalike ,not even sector …we gonna do this alone …Ryder take stinger and sector ,ill keep eye on max …

Ryder ; sector ,do you know where they are going ..

sector ; yes ,they are close to the dragon cave ,and we got to hurry because it might be dangerous …

Ryder nods ,they get up and get their armor and weapons ready ..sector has hats looks like a sword but its actually his tail its full of electric …and he already has an armor

they move and take the map with them moving through the trees and the forest ahead to the cave

they met some wolf and sector clear the way killing them…

and so like that they arrive and hide to the rock looking at them

there they are cyborg and dragon white doing same the ritual and the crow mask ,as they do a prayers …stinger grit his teeth

Ryder ; and what are they about ,with the portal

sector ; the portal opes the demise realm so they can bring exsods back …

stinger felt a rush and the need to stop them ..so h steps in

Ryder ; stinger no—

stinger run toward cyborg and punch him so hard and use the swords against white dragon ,that was a right move..but not right time ,because it was so late …the realm has been opened

as the world became dark and the portal was open ..sector look at the mask …its the weakness to stop the portal ..he throw the sword ,and it hit the mask and stops the portal..everything gets back it place ..

Ryder look up and he couldn't find the two masters he curse ..sector look at stinger stinger was kneeling with wide eyes ..

sector ; what ..

when stinger steps aside ..blue knight ...ghost sword …bit all buries and in coma…its zak ..

Ryder runs toward him and holds him trying to wake him up…

Ryder tearing with happiness ; we need to get him back to the house ..this is very good news

stinger ;but i saw other stuff getting out the portal

sector turns to him ; like what ..

stinger ;its …a black smoke or whatever ..

Ryder ; it not the time to think about any of that

Ryder holds zak on his back and keep moving back to the house ,stinger and sector follow him still happy about zak return but ,somehow confused about how the fate chose him to fall from the portal…

when they are back …Ryder kick the door open ,and steps in slowly stinger and sector were behind him ..lance was there writing ,but when he looks at them hi eyes goes wide

lance ;how many surprises do we have to take today

Ryder ; he is in com ,we need to put him in the top old healing machine ..

lance nods and lead the way in the basement ,there was a machine that almost looks like a fridge as lance open the door and Ryder puts zak in closing the door and leave him

lance ; it will take him two days to wake up

stinger ; i cant believe my father is alive …maybe he know the future of this world ..

Ryder ; with no doubt ..but he has to get the chakras first ,it will be a long journey for him…

max steps in

max ; guys ,what's happening in here

she looks at them and the machine…

max ; holy f\ck is that zak …

stinger ; uh..mom he fell when they tried to open the portal .sector was fast enough to shut it ,he did a good job

sector ; oh well thank you brother

Ryder; lets just …head asleep for tonight we saw a lot of things today …

they all nod ,but max stay in her place …

max ;..can i sleep next to the machine

lance ; max ,it might be dangerous we cant trust fate at places like this

max ;i wont be very close i promise..

lance looks at Ryder…Ryder nods as if it okay to let her sleep there …and so like that ,they all go to sleep and rest for tonight…zak was in the fridge , he was healing faster than the time…and the machine glow blue ,but max was asleep to notice …

the next morning they wakes up ,everyone was stretching and just looks around ,max got up and walked to the kitchen making breakfast ,Ryder and lance walk to the basement ,as they look at zak through the fridge

lance ; this is ..new ,his armor recreating ..his body …has the detail of dragon-born ..do you think he got bitten by a dielink

Ryder ; i have heard of the demise realm ,they say i might turn your body slowly to a dielink for some reason ..only vagie knows why …

lance ; might be true

stinger walks up to them

stinger ; anything knew about father

lance ; we dont really know

stinger walks to the fridge and touch it slowly ..then steps back…..

suddenly zak open his eyes inside

lance ;what the…

zak started to punch the glass door

Ryder yell to them ; step back

zak punch the door break the fridge open ,and walks out of it almost so defensive he look at them , doesn't recognize anyone as he take the sword and dash toward stinger to hit him , but Ryder catch the sword

the fight starts as lance try to point the bow and try to shot zak ,but zak catch the arrow and breaks it ,then hold Ryder in the ai with the sword and throw him away ,Ryder back hit the wall …stinger punch zak on the gut and try to use the blades to punch him away ,zak get punched by the first blade but he catch the other and use it to throw stinger at lance , lance dodge stinger and use the bow to hit zak at th shoulder with an arrow ,it worked but zak didn't get any damage , he throw the ghost sword to stab lance at the gut tying to kill him ,he run to lance getting his ice electric fist to punch ,but Ryder catch it ,and it blows Ryder away …lance get the sword out and punch zak with the bow ,and stinger roll the two swords around zak arm to stop him ..zak roar like he was in a war not a fight so he freeze stinger chain sword and breaks from the chain and freeze stinger ,and kick lance in the jaw make him fall ..they all lay down losing..zak take the ghost sword about to stab Ryder ..but before he do anything

sector ; hey

sector and max steps in as they see the mess..zak look at max..his eye go wide ..he remember her ..his love….as he let the sword down and walk slowly to max..and she does too sector was worried but he cant do a thing ..zak run to her embrace like she was a mother or some kind of peace …a place he can relaxing and he start crying ,she hold him tight he was so injured …

max ; shh..zak ,you are fine..here lets get you some kits…

in the evening , everyone sits in the living room ,max was healing zak buries

zak ;..so, you two are my kids…

stinger smile ; yes father

sector was just here , still upset about his mistake..zak get up ,and walk slowly hugging both of them …Ryder smiled

Ryder ; i was wrong when i said you rushed it …

lance smile too ,but then he stop and look at zak

lance ; what happened in the realm

zak ;..i was there ,exsods top ,every single villain in the history of monsters tribes ..they were a lot …they had plans .hidden elements in this world might get them here ,vagie sent me a sign to my soul ,its my journey to save humanity and the edlinks from them…and they fought me caged me ,and all i know is exsods has a plan ..because the cyberlink masters are here to help him..so we need some kind of expedition..a team..the oldest and strongest

Ryder ; its impossible ,they might be dead by now …

lance ; no ..they are here ,i studied the history ,they say top had denied some edlinks at some island ..i know where they are i have been solving some ind of puzzle ..and now they are here

zak; then that will be our point …lets get a rest tonight ,we have a mission waiting for us..

they nod …and the night pass and they take a break …

# Chapter 1 — The Weakest

The world of Elyndra was a world where strength determined everything.

# Gods ruled continents.

# Dragons destroyed kingdoms.

# Demons commanded armies.

Even ordinary humans possessed supernatural abilities.

# Every person was born with a Core.

The stronger the Core, the greater the person's potential.

A powerful Core could turn an ordinary child into a legendary warrior.

A weak Core could make someone struggle to survive.

But there was one boy whose Core was different.

Not weak.

Not defective.

Empty.

# His name was Aren Veyl.

At seventeen years old, Aren had already become famous.

Unfortunately, not for anything good.

He was known throughout his city as:

The Weakest Person Alive.

His Core had been measured at 0.01.

The lowest value ever recorded.

Aren couldn't use magic properly.

He couldn't strengthen his body.

He couldn't sense mana.

He couldn't even defeat the weakest monsters without help.

Yet Aren still smiled.

Because he had people.

At least...

He thought he did.

"Come on, Aren!"

Aren looked up.

Three boys stood in front of him.

They were members of the city's training academy.

One of them threw a wooden sword toward his feet.

"Pick it up."

Aren hesitated.

"Why?"

The boy laughed.

"Because we're going to train."

The others laughed too.

Aren knew what that meant.

Still, he picked up the sword.

The first strike came immediately.

# THUD!

Aren fell.

The sword slipped from his hand.

# "Get up."

He stood.

Another strike.

# THUD!

# Again.

# Again.

# Again.

Aren eventually couldn't stand properly.

The surrounding students watched.

Nobody helped.

Nobody stopped them.

Someone whispered:

"Why doesn't he just quit?"

Another laughed.

"Because he's stupid enough to think he'll become strong someday."

Aren heard them.

He always did.

But he kept getting back up.

Because somewhere inside him was a tiny belief.

Someone would eventually recognize his effort.

That evening, Aren returned home.

His clothes were dirty.

His arms hurt.

But he smiled when he opened the door.

"Hey, I'm home."

Silence.

Aren's smile slowly disappeared.

The house was empty.

There was a letter sitting on the table.

He picked it up.

His hands began trembling.

# We're leaving the city.

# Don't come looking for us.

# Taking care of you has become too difficult.

Aren stared at the letter.

His eyes didn't move.

His family had left.

The only people he believed would never abandon him...

were gone.

Aren sat alone in the darkness.

Hours passed.

Then days.

Nobody came.

His friends stopped answering.

His classmates ignored him.

Even the people who once called themselves his friends pretended they didn't know him.

Aren eventually stopped waiting.

And for the first time in his life...

he stopped smiling.

Several weeks later, an expedition was announced.

A massive dungeon had appeared outside the city.

The academy needed volunteers.

Aren joined.

Not because he thought he could become a hero.

He simply wanted to prove one thing.

That he wasn't completely useless.

The expedition entered the dungeon.

Everything went normally at first.

Until they reached the deepest floor.

Something went wrong.

A monstrous roar shook the entire dungeon.

# BOOOOOOM!

The ground collapsed.

Aren fell.

# "HELP!"

He reached toward the others.

His classmates stood on the other side.

Aren's eyes widened.

"Please!"

One of them looked at him.

For a moment, Aren thought they would save him.

Instead...

the boy turned away.

# "We can't."

# "But—"

# "We'll all die if we stay."

Another student whispered:

# "Leave him."

And they ran.

Aren watched them disappear.

His hand slowly fell.

He was alone.

# Again.

The darkness swallowed him.

There was no food.

# No water.

# No weapon.

# No allies.

# No family.

# No one coming.

Aren crawled through the darkness.

His body weakened.

His Core remained useless.

And eventually...

he collapsed.

He looked upward.

For the first time, there was no hope in his eyes.

# "Why..."

His voice was barely audible.

# "Why was I born like this?"

Silence answered him.

Aren closed his eyes.

But then—

# BOOM.

Something appeared beneath him.

A strange light.

A symbol he had never seen before.

His empty Core began trembling.

Aren opened his eyes.

# "What... is that?"

The symbol slowly entered his chest.

His heartbeat stopped.

For three seconds...

there was absolute silence.

Then—

# THUMP.

His heart beat again.

But something had changed.

Not his strength.

Not yet.

Something much smaller.

Something far more important.

For the first time in his life...

Aren felt a possibility.

A path.

And somewhere in the darkness, a voice whispered:

# "If the world refuses to give you strength..."

Aren slowly opened his eyes.

# "...then take it."
