This is what gets me, is the sheer idolatry of it. It's hard to laugh at him because what he wants isn't just childish, it's genuinely indicative of the telltale signs of so many men before who spoke to a desire to see themselves installed as a fixture of the state and a permanent dictator.
Without context, for example, it almost seems comical to imagine Saddam Hussein as so pop culture obsessed that he demanded to see Passion of the Christ on a portable DVD player before his execution
But in hindsight, it's not surprising that a cruel manchild like Saddam also once compared his own dictatorship to Michael Corleone
I know the saying is 'if we didn't laugh we'd cry' but I frequently feel well past the horizon when it comes to laughing at Trump, he just gets away with so much for a man whose contribution to society in his lifetime was so comically small
His life has been defined by putting his name on things. Now he wants to cement a legacy, have his name live on. He is destroying other's legacies to make room for his.

He’s enacting any cruel act right now that can’t be undone. Tbh just like other things, this is very symbolic
