Discussion Riches in niches

anyone else just have a really popular niche and you know you try to go somewhere else like they tell you but just don’t have any joy in doing that. I haven’t been doing some more video game hunting this weekend and I’m like now this is what I wanna do I’m gonna be a video game hunter I don’t care how popular it is.

I actually started trying and looking for games and I made $200 already this weekend

Discussion I have no idea who left me the bad rating on Facebook Marketplace

I recently received my first ever non-5-star review on Facebook Marketplace after having 35 five-star reviews. The person gave me 3 stars, and I wanted to figure out who the buyer was and look back at our interactions.

The problem is, I cannot find this person anywhere. I know their first name and profile picture from the rating, but I can’t find anyone matching them in my message list, archived messages, or even my blocked accounts.

I remember seeing that I had received a 36th rating a few days ago, but I didn’t know who gave me the rating. Since I couldn’t identify the buyer, I couldn’t rate them back and see their rating immediately. So I kept assuming that my overall rating was still 5 stars.

Then this morning I noticed that my rating had dropped, and realized that the 36th rating was actually a 3-star review.

Now I’m really confused about who this person was and what happened, but I genuinely cannot find them anywhere. Has anyone experienced this before?

Discussion Motorcycle jacket armor 'melted' during shipping?

Sold a name brand motorcycle jacket on ebay recently. It was like new without tags, maybe a 10-15 year old model. When I shipped, it had no odors and the shoulder and back pads felt fine.

Buyer opened an INAD shortly after receipt and said the foam was disintegrating. No other comments.

When I opened the returned package, the jacket was a sticky mess. The inside of the box was coated with a light greasy residue, with small bits of sticky foam everywhere. The remaining foam was down in the arms and corners of the lining. It had some animal fur stuck to the lining and there was a slightly sweet chemical odor.

I asked the buyer it they ran it through the washer or dryer, and they only said 'I tried it on and the foam came out and made a mess'.

My best guess is that it was either run through a dryer on high because buyer was worried about bed bugs, or it was in a very hot trailer during shipping that broke down the chemicals in the foam. The washing instructions explicitly say 'cold water wash, no tumble dry'.

Has anyone run into this before? I've had products with crumbling foam, but this level of degradation is impressive.

Discussion Genius idea to weed out competition

What if I donate a bunch of *seemingly* valuable flips but give them empty boxes/the wrong box, valuable electronics(if they were a slightly different model), the wrong CD in a case, etc.

Then when other flippers are spending time figuring out if something is actually worth anything I swoop in for the other items.

Thoughts?

Discussion Live Auctioneers Shipping Seems like a Bait and Switch

https://www.liveauctioneers.com/ has some wild shipping costs on $90 of goods. The full thing should fit in a medium sized box and is under 15lbs. I understand the soapstone needing lots of attention to detail when packing, but the base price for shipping the small bag of coins was >$70. The local packers wanted the same, but they were charging another $100 to pick them up. Am I missing something?
