Absolutely love this episode but

I don’t really get why they decided to give away the punchline in the very first scene. The entire episode builds up to the final joke but they’ve already shown us what it’s going to be in the first 10 seconds

Classic Frasier Honestly Frasier is Therapy for me

Been going through a tough time recently and watching Frasier is the only time when I feel at peace. It's honestly therapeutic - especially "War of the Words" is my favourite episode as I had a similar experience like Niles did. The best part is the little talk Niles has with Fredrick in the kitchen.

I initially watched Cheers & Frasier 11 years ago in college (I lived on Beacon Street then as well, popped into the actual bar and everything) so it's wonderful to remember all the amazing jokes, truly the best written sitcom by far. I don't know if I'd rewatch Cheers anytime soon though, it needs a different headspace imo

Classic Frasier Martin And Eddie🥲

Upvotes

Just watched the scene where Martin is talking to Roz’s daughter about death and she asks him how old Eddie is and he says ten. After they leave he calls over Eddie and gives him a hug and a kiss because he realizes his dog is getting older and won’t be there someday. It’s such a touching scene.

What does Alistair mean by this? It got a huge audience laugh track, but I'm not sure I get the joke.

Does he mean he himself wasn't expecting a baby back during his marriage (because he's gay)? Or is he just continuing the joke that he didn't expect Niles to be straight? Or something else? Thanks.

Oh Dear God Fraiser: We have wine club tonight, I'm sort of counting on him to help me become Cork Master. Roz: But you'll still keep your secret identity as Frasier Crane, right?

Classic Frasier Nosey Neighbour?

This woman (with and without her laundry) went up and down the Elliott Bay Towers lift so often, she got all the "tea" on what was going on in Daphne's life! lol!!!

Any of you ever been in a similar situation to "Nosey Neighbour"?

Classic Frasier Most cozy episode?

I think most of us can agree that Frasier is incredible comfort-TV. So much so that there is a subreddit dedicated to those who like to fall asleep with Frasier in the background (r/frasier_sleepers). The sets, the sounds, the general feel of the show is so...cozy!

So, in your opinion, which is the coziest episode? Which episode would be your first choice to calm you down after a stressful day?

This shirt...

...is so not Daphne. (The episode after Daphne leaves Donny at the altar) I understand they were covering up her baby bump, but a shirt from a gift shop at a Hawaiian resort is just such a bizarre choice. I thought maybe it was a resurrection of Niles' shirt from the Shangri-La (which would've been cute and maybe a bit symbolic). But I checked and nope. Just an ugly shirt for no reason. Perhaps it's a harbinger of the drastic change coming in Daphne's personality.

I think about this episode almost every single day when I go to do the dishes, and find the sponge sitting wet in the sink from earlier/the day before.

Frasier’s magic kitchen

some of my favorite suspension of disbelief moments from frasier come almost entirely from how often we are expected to believe the absolute delusion that no one in his living room could ever possibly see or hear anything happening in his kitchen…

you know— the kitchen famously complete with an enormous doorway, zero doors, with 2 completely unobstructed views into it & a cavernous open bar built facing directly into the living space? 😆

Jane Leeves’ Daphne and me

Is anyone else planning on going to any of the book tour? I am currently looking at which city makes the most sense for me to visit (Seattle would obviously be the best choice) but moneys tight and there’s nothing I would rather spend it on.

From the bottom of my heart; I apologize my wandering eye over the years. Those whom I mentally undressed, and… you know who you are… all I can say—and it's a poor defence—is that I was a product of the thoughtless machismo of my times.

But know this: Gil isn't about to stop loving the ladies.

Classic Frasier Book release

Post image

This is no hate to Jane Leeves, just want to clarify things.

When she announced her book preorder with the Malibu book store, I recall that she said something along the lines of "this is the only way to get it signed " and I so I happily bought it from the bookstore to get my signed copy as I thought that would be the only chance to.

With the announcement of the book tour, I am very excited that she is coming near to me and so I went to go purchase the ticket to see her.

It was silly of me to think that the book wouldn't be included with the purchase. I actually expected maybe for her to sign my book twice (without thinking when my book would even arrive from Malibu).

But now I see the book signing is included with purchase and now I will have 2 books which sucks because I don't need the 2nd. I actually know no one (in NJ) who likes Frasier LOL

It wouldve been nice to announce the tour first so I could get my book then and not from Malibu. Cuz I thought there would never be an opportunity to get the book signed.

And so I kinda feel like Im spending a bit much on 2 books, idk

To be fair, there are only 5 locations for the tour and so I just got the short end of the stick let's say.

Am I wrong for feeling this way?

Classic Frasier Still, food? In the bathroom?

I watched that episode last night. I just realized that Lillith eating alone only had 1 plate on the food cart. Do you think Niles and Frasier ate in the bedroom? Haha.

Fraiser / kavanaugh friends crossover?

I was watching some comedy show cold open skits about Kavanaugh over the past couple of years and something funny occurred to me that links into Frasier.

Are Kirby’s friends “Scoogie” and “Faat Tyler” also friends with Kavanaugh’s friends “PJ” and “Tobin” and “Squee”?

Hilarious crossover opportunity of random never see friends with interesting nicknames!

Series Finale Help - what/why did Frasier fly to Chicago??

Help Requested - and apologies if this has been explained to death.

So Frasier flew to Chicago to be with Charlotte, or to tell Charlotte of his feelings?

It seems like he could have gone to tell her how he felt, and still kept the new job in Frisco.

I always interpreted it to this way, that he simply went to pursue her/declare his intentions for her. I believe i am right because on the revival, he is in Frisco, so obviously he did not 'move to Chicago'.
