I’m a high school Senior starting college apps. And I know I wanna rush. How’s hazing at schools like VT and UMD, or even smaller schools like Bucknell or Temple? Is it worse than a lax locker room?

Like 13 dudes in the past 6 months have come out and 5 of them are dating. 1 of the couples is a throuplet.

Anyway, they all just talk about glory holes and white wine and nothing else. It’s like they became new people. They used to just be kinda boring and just talk about work and sports.

Anyway the president tried to make pledges walk in the pride parade and we lost like 21 dudes. Our chapter is low key falling apart.

I go to a horizon league school in the Midwest

Got out of the army with a green to gold scholarship. Did 2 years active duty enlisted, now I’m in rotc. Would it be worth it to rush a frat? Would it be possible to fit a frat into the rotc life?

I know there's a lot of trolling here but I'm hoping I can get some actual advice. I wasn't that interested in going Greek until I actually got to campus, but coming here without knowing anyone made me reconsider. I think it'd be a good way to meet cool people.

That's why I'm curious, does anyone have houses they'd recommend rushing this fall? I'd probably steer clear of the top 3, just because most of the guys I've talked to who are rushing them come off as pretty douchey. Rush is next week and I haven't been in contact with any houses which I assume hurts for any of the really big names here. I know everyone gets caught up in bouse and touse but I assume at a school like FSU even lower tier homes have good people, connections, parties, and attractive woman.

A couple things about me. I'm a pretty easy dude to talk to and can carry a conversation fine. I'm 5'9", 170, a little on the chubby side but pretty athletic overall. I'd say I'm mildly attractive, not the best looking guy in the room but not ugly either. I'm curious how much that factors into things during rush (I don't see many guys with a little extra anywhere).

I'm not looking to be some frat bro stereotype or an alcoholic. I'm just looking for some solid friends and connections. Would love any honest thoughts on rushing in general, and which houses might be worth checking out. Feel free to ask whatever below, or flame me, it's all cool.
