Started adopting GOG recently and the library is increasing!

Not a long post but here goes, My father bought me Thief when on the way back cross country after i suffered a Chemical imbalance of the Brain. we stopped overnight at a driver reviver stop and i got to setup my PC, well my father passed away last year due to compications with kidney cancer..Just wanted to say thanks to the GOG group for giving me the chance to relive Thief again on modern hardware..Thanks GOG..

Hello, Sabotage Studio team and fellow GOG players. I noticed that the GOG version of The Messenger still lacks achievement support through GOG Galaxy, while the Steam and console versions have them fully implemented. Many players in the GOG community love hunting achievements and would appreciate it if the GOG version received a small patch to include this feature. Is there any chance we can get an update for this?

I have Linux Mint, so Proton or Bottle probably won't work for me in some games, but they're working on future Linux compatibility for the launcher. My games will always be mine, and my old games will be adapted so they can be played. So goodbye Steam, goodbye Epic, it's time for a change.

Of course, I have this game on Steam, but I want to have an offline installer (DRM-free) on my drive so I always have it handy: I ​​only have mobile data (using a Wi-Fi hotspot from my tablet to my PC), and the download speed is incredibly slow. It takes me days to download a 30GB game. wanted to play empire of the ants 2000 and the first mission ran very good, but then it suddenly crashed. since this crash the game doesn´t run more than 3-5min or crashes instantly while trying to save.

I tried different settings and ran it with the compatibility mode. reinstall. nothing helps.

does anyone of you know a fix?

Yes, this sounds extremely weird, I know.

I finally had my holiday just about a month ago.

I have a Mini ITX PC. I put all the games on it, simply modded the games, and downloaded guides and video tutorials for them.

I went to the closest Walmart and bought an 2 week’s worth of food, drinks, and everything else I needed, then went to my holiday house which is an 4 hour drive.

I left all my devices behind except for the ITX and a old Docomo flip phone that can only make calls. Don’t worry, I had already told all my friends and my boss that I would be off-grid for a while and wouldn’t be contactable for at least a week and a half.

Then, for the rest of the holiday, I just gamed. No Steam, no Wi-Fi, no work, just pure gaming when i feel i want to.

I finished Metro 2033, Metro: Last Light, Grow Home, and The Witcher 2 within two weeks, and spent the rest of my time hiking, fishing, and reading.

Fallout Tactics! Bought this game when I was a child, and I lost the physical copy. IT was on sale for $2.99. Installed it, downloaded the install file. And going to make a physical copy of as many Fallout games as I can onto 1 Blueray disc. I'm a happy camper!

Recently i got myself a steam deck and a couple of days ago i decided to buy splinter cell out of the box i had read it had controller support added however when i played it the was none lucky i found out about the enhanced sc patch which also fixes the aspect ratio for certain things and added working controls which is something i would have thought the preservation team would have added.

Anyway enough of the ramble my question was the controller support there but it didn't work becuase it was being translated to linux and is this the case with all preservation program games or is this a one off as i would like to get more games like pop sands of time.

Not sure what's changed but now I am getting these errors on every item when I do update on gogrepoc.

Is this is known issue? Is there a better place to ask questions about gogrepoc? Any sort of help would be amazing. I am using Python 3.14.

I don’t really know how to title it or where else to put it but since the publishers on steam release DRM free versions later after release, is it possible to put them on discs like you can through Gog or does Gog only have the DRM free versions?

Playhook is a background app that turns a removable drive into a console-style game cartridge. It lives in the tray, detects when you insert a card carrying a game (a game.json manifest), and pops up a game card. Press A on an Xbox gamepad (or click Play) and it syncs your saves onto the PC, launches the game, tracks the playtime, then copies the saves back to the card when you quit — so your progress travels with the card across machines.

Hi if I pay for a game on GOG does that mean I own it like 100% outright and am able to log into my GOG account on another laptop to download it again or is it just One Purchase Per Device?

Just wanted to confirm whether these achievements are still broken as a number of posts would suggest or if this is a bug in the Heroic Launcher.

I've just started Chapter 1 and noticed that the Prologue achievement still hasn't registered.

The 2.1.9 update finally and unexpectedly introduced that function.

So after too many years of dealing with the ghost of Twitch/amazon integration, the curse have been lifted !

It saves "corrupted" / failed to save screenshots. I tried few things like enable beta features, did not help. Does screenshots work on GOG galaxy? I don't want to use the old Windows way if possible (it interupts the game and sometimes the game doesn't like it). Anyone know how to fix this?

Launching in windowed mode doesn't even show anything. Also if this continues am I entitled to a refund?

As someone who is using a non-XInput controller (Stadia) SteamInput has been a lifesaver for me since most games require XInput to register controls nowadays, to get it to work on GOG however I need to use two different third party drivers to convert the inputs onto a virtual X360 controller.

I think it would be great if GOG could create an alternative to SteamInput and offer input translation natively.
This wouldn't just help for the controller I use, but also for DualSense/DualShock controllers.
