Coworker told me a horror story out of the blue that shook me
I’m 23M, US, gay guy. I started a new job and a new team and I’ve been getting to know my team members. I was told out of the blue by a gay coworker (I’m in the closet to everyone), about how she knew a gay Indian woman 20 years ago, and how one day she told her that she would be going back to India and gave her deeds, her will, and contacts in case she didn’t come back to the US. She never came back, and was killed by her family for being gay. Coworker just brought this up out of nowhere. I myself have an Indian family overseas I visit every year and I’m horrified about what might happen to me if they or my parents find out I’m gay. I’m supposed to focus on work the rest of the day but I feel sick.
It’s not like I’m not aware of homophobia in general or overseas, I very much am and have had online arguments with those people. I’m very aware of it. But it just feels so real and visceral having someone IRL drop that bomb on you out of nowhere. I feel like I have no future. I feel despair.

Non sexual reasons. What do you like about being a gay guy?

”some men are skipping showers before dates to embrace a new trend called pheromone-maxxing”
I used to get annoyed whenever people would call the manosphere gay but I’m starting to lose ground because everything they do really seems marketed to gay men.
I know a LOT of gay men who would love if their dates did this.
Straight women, not so much…

“Night in West Texas” - PBS doc about a gay man wrongfully convicted of murder. If you’re in the mood to cry.
I’m from the area- just thought Id share. This is a really powerful documentary. So many of us from conservative small towns have struggled and this reminds to be thankful of the life Ive had. Support your local PBS, y’all.

Guy I met on a business trip left me strangely confused
Hey bros.
So I (29M) came to London on a business trip a couple weeks ago and stayed here until today. One of the first nights, I met a guy (30M) through Grindr and we decided to meet up.
At the beginning, it was meant to be just a casual sex night and it was, mostly. But we also had a walk before going back to my hotel and I thought we had a nice chat. He told me about his recent breakup, I told him about mine (last December), we spoke about our families, our jobs (we work in the same industry), etc. Overall, an interesting person other than being extremely cute and sexy.
We only did side things but it was quite passionate and I thought we both really enjoyed the physical aspect of the whole thing.
It was a really nice encounter and we also said that we would meet up again before I leave (he actually said that a couple times that night). I asked him out a few times and every time he either answered via phone quite lately or postponed our next meeting.
He also told me that he wouldn’t follow each other on Instagram because he doesn’t want his ex to see that he follows new guys?
As I moving to the UK in a few months, I would have liked to hang out even just as friends as I basically know none here, except few friends from uni and I told him, but this left me kinda confused as I don’t know if I fucked up something.
I’m really open to any kind of human relationship at this point, not necessarily a romantic one and I’m not sure if my interest could have been perceived in a wrong way.
Has anyone of you ever experienced a similar situation?

Thoughts on the controversy on the release of the movie "quinze dias"?
Well basically this movie just came out, is a really cute romance movie made in brazil.
But ofc the gay community can't let fat people exist I guess. And (at least the spanish speaking community) started complaning about how this movie is not realistic and that a fit guy wouldn't ever be with a fat guy.
Like, okey? Is there something you wanna share with the class buddy?
Why are some of the comments so projecting? As a (not even fat fat) not skinny (i guess(169 cm,74 kg) person.
There is nothing more annoying than a guy projecting their own body issues into myself. No bro, I'm not gonna feel bad for not making diets 24/7 and not eating food without flavor like you, if you have a problem with the idea of being fat that's your problem lol.
Anyways, really recommend the movie, is cute and I have to give credits to this movie for a frustrated attempt of gay bashing scene where the couple FUCKING finally defend themselves instead of being humillated in camara lol (talking to you IT 2)

Actor Tim Curry Dead at 80
Tim Curry played Dr. Frank N Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which was many people’s first foray into queer culture. Rest in peace to a legendary gay icon

Age gap advice
Im 18 just met a guy who’s 26 on Grindr Hooked up with him and hit it of really well this is the second guy I’ve been with and I’m his fifth as he had a long term relationship.
I feel like we get on well and are into each other but does anyone know how well age gaps work out. Added him on snap and messaged him for a few hours we seemed to get on really well. He isn’t looking to get with loads of guys which I would prefer. Please anyone who’s been in a similar situation just give me some advice.

Now that Dolly Parton has, tragically, passed away, what is your favorite memory of her or fact about her?
