Question/discussion Why is ace seen as less valid than others?

I've heard a lot of people say that asexual people shouldn't be included in LGBTQ+ because we aren't exactly straight or gay. We just don't experience sexual attraction. Speaking from my personal experience, I still feel like I'm somewhere on the spectrum, but sometimes it feels like we're seen as less valid than other identities.

I'm genuinely wondering what everyone's opinions are on whether ace should be included in LGBTQ+. Personally, I believe it should be, and I say this as a proud ace myself.

Advice Is it ethical for a psychologist to put that I identify as homosexual and use he/him pronouns for me when I said in the evaluation that I was Madeline the straight girl?

I had a psych evaluation for social security disability and I told her that I was Madeline the straight trans woman but she referred to me as Thomas with he/him pronouns and that I’m a homosexual in the evaluation, and now I’m starting to think maybe she’s right and I’m just a gay man. Is that ethical?

Serious Discussion "Gay anger is strength." A slogan for a fighting community.

Of course you possibly can use it differently for other communities. I am just speaking for myself. I leave it for others to consider.

Anger is a human emotion and we have it for a reason.

When our humanity is transgressed anger propels us to move forward and fight for our humanity.

The Stonewall Riot was because they were angry over the abuse by the police.

Other can i be pansexual and prefer a certain gender?

I've always said that im pansexual REGARDLESS of gender. and i have no preference really, idc about the gender if the vibe is right it's right. however... come to think of it i think i do have a preference. im currently in a committed relationship with my boyfriend of 6 years (he identified as a girl when we first started dating , and transitioned roughly one year after)

but when i imagine dating someone hypothetically, i really don't see myself with a man. not a cis man anyway. and i do find fictional cis men pretty or attractive even now, but i guess...most cis men's personalities aren't the greatest 😭😭 maybe id be with a queer bisexual cis man, but even that's a stretch.

i dont think men can understand women the way non men can understand women. i think we'd have communication issues and it wouldn't work out. all this is hypothetical of course bc i happen to have found the perfect man who can read me like a book. but idk if i can go around calling myself pansexual when i know that i have such a strong preference. also i think on average, women are prettier, and femininity, even on men, is prettier and more attractive than masculinity on men. masculine men tend to be jerks... (masc women on the other hand 🤭🤭)

Serious Discussion Anyone here who thought they were a trans woman for a while but might instead be just a cis gay man?

I’m asking as I know my gender feelings feel very flighty and wishy washy and I’d rather take my parents and therapist advice than just follow the trans influencers on 4tran that tell me “go on DIY” and have a negative outcome like a blood clot or still being unhappy in my body. I honestly don’t relate to most trans experiences especially from early childhood onward and no matter how much I question my gender I don’t feel any affirmed or happier than I was a few years ago. I feel the same way when I try to be attracted to women whether as a lesbian or straight man and bi does not feel authentic or true to myself either. I feel a sense of actual erotic attraction and intimacy when I see a cute guy that I just don’t get when I see a woman regardless of the gender I happen to be. I do have autism and struggled with obesity much of my life so maybe that has something to do with it. And frankly I’d rather just admit that I’m a bottom than get bottom surgery and have bad side effects and complications from the surgery.

The truth is even when I present myself as a woman privately or online I don’t feel any affirmed or happier and I just feel that I’m just convincing myself I’m a woman so I can just get a certain answer and satisfy the need to feel special and “belong somewhere”. The thing is I’m increasing my OCD meds and I have experienced a love for cute men that I just don’t have with women that’s helping my clear some things out. I’ve considered the possibility that I’m genderfluid but that didn’t really help the compulsions either.

I don’t know if there’s a place for an autistic gay man in the world. I like my little pony and anime but I don’t feel comfortable in those places as there’s so many fanservice female drawings that make me feel uncontainable as I’m not straight and feel attracted to them like most men and because of that I feel left out and alienated. I hate it when guys talk about girls in a provocative way as I just don’t relate or feel the same way.

LGBT Issues its so annoying when people say "im fine with the gays but not in front of the children!" or "the gays are fine just bot in public!"

like wtf. so its fine to be straight in front of kids and in public but as soon as its gay you suddenly have a problem. "oMG tHe gaYs ArE tRyiNg To MAKe oUr KiDs GaY" ignoring that many teens have to break up with their bf/gf because they didn't know they were gay due to people pushing straight being the default and that being gay is seen as weird. but ok dave(picked random name) we will keep pretending that were the ones pushing an agenda
