Voice to text that doesn't effing hear me correctly and I have to type it all out anyway

I suffer from a medical condition known as fat fingeritis, so I dictate into my phone. Kind of a lot. And sometimes, my phone can't hear me properly, and it writes words that it thinks I said, but the closeness can range anywhere from "understandable homophone" all the way to "What the fuck, are you on crack?" So then, not only does it interrupt the flow while I'm talking, but I have to go back through and type it anyway with my fat fingers, so it's like what's the point?

And the worst ones? When I'm in a hurry to get a point out, so my dumb ass doesn't proofread, and I end up posting pure nonsense sentences.

Same thing happens to me! And it used to be soooo much better!!

Dictate one short sentence, then read it back before sending. It may feel slower, but fixing one sentence is easier than repairing a whole paragraph. If Apple's dictation is the problem, try a keyboard that keeps the text in the app. I use DictaFlow's iOS keyboard because I can dictate right into the field I'm using and fix the sentence before sending it.

People that use voice to text or play music out loud or phone calls on speakerphone grind my gears.

You can make the keyboard display bigger if that helps.

I got one on my voicemail to text message transcription talking about “this sausage is for”…. It was actually “this message is for” when I listened to the playback. Promptly saved the voicemail transcription for posterity.

I got one from our veterinarian's office reminding me that both of my cats needed their annual checkup, and the transcription said I could f*** with them online. 😆
