If I see one more person going on about how awesome an Obsession house would be, I'll scream. It's a great movie, but the concept DOES NOT WORK for a standalone haunted house.

Let's look at it from a couple of different haunt design possibilities.

1. A Book Report

Book Report houses tell the events of the film in roughly the same sequential order of the film in question. Sinners, essentially.

The events of Obsession don't lend themselves to this type of house. Let's blue sky this. Opening scene is Bear making the wish. You can slam the room to black then have your first Nikki jumpscare. Good start, right?

But then what?

Do we get rooms of Bear and Nikki dating? The bit of her standing perfectly still til he gets home? Do we see her beg Bear to kill her?

So that doesn't work. What's the alternative?

1. Vibes

Vibe house takes scenes and iconography with barely any linear storytelling. Hellraiser, essentially. Or showing my age, 2006's PsychoPath: the Return of Norman Bates.

We're running into the same problem. There's just not enough iconography for a satisfying vibes house. You do a room of giant One Wish Willows? A representation of Nikki butchering the cat to make a sandwich by having us walk through giant bloody cat entrails?

Doesn't sound fun does it?

But I'm not a fuddy duddy. There's one house concept where Obsession fits right in.

1. The Montage House.

Essentially do another Horrors of Blumhouse and feature Obsession as one of the featured films. You can have the creepy bedroom scene. The living room scene. The big finale. And then... Done. Nikki pops up with the other characters in the finale.

It's satisfying and doesn't outstay it's welcome.

Drew one of my favorite local horror hosts!!! His house itself wasn't my favorite (that honor goes to Madlands lol) but H.R. as a character seems to have won my heart. Where are all the dorky middle-aged murderers in horror??? It's an archetype I never knew I needed until now!

So i saw what someone said in a tiktok comment about how you can sorta cheat the system with express passes, is that true? This is my first time using express and i just wanna make the most out of it

This is no hate to anyone who loves Cybergoria, but to those visiting later in the season I wanted to share my seemingly unpopular opinion on this house. I went for the first three regular opening nights, and I’d seen all the hype from TM previews and PS. I was super excited for this house, and it was amplified by the amazing faux commercials in the park. My partner knew nothing about the online hype, but it was his most anticipated original as well once we saw the in-park videos. After experiencing the house, we were both very disappointed by it.

If what you value most in a house is a constant stream of jump scares, this will probably be your #1 house (definitely your #1 among the originals). There is also one truly amazing effect in this house that is super fun/unique, though it’s best experienced if your conga line is moving slowly which is a total gamble. I’ve done this house twice so far, once the walk was slow and once fast, and it really changed the experience.

However, if what you value most in a house is set design/story, please be mindful of the hype to manage your expectations. My personal opinion is the storyline of this house exists with the commercials before you enter, a couple of signs when you first walk in, and then it is pretty much the same thing on repeat for the rest of the house. To me, that is not as interesting as a very evolving story across scenes like Jack & Oddfellow, and I don’t personally find a house scarier just because the jumps are more constant. Cybergoria feels a bit more like a generic haunted house I could experience in other locations vs. a Universal level experience. Everyone of course experiences houses differently and enjoys different things, but I wanted to share this opinion for those planning their visits in case it helps. I hope everyone has a wonderful HHN season, and see you in the fog!

This might be a stupid question, but this is my first year, and I'm questioning whether I should know more.

I've just completed onboarding, and I just learned the date of my first day of training. The date was dropped so casually, it seemed almost as if they expected me to already know it. I don't know any other training date, or if there even will be another day of training. Am I just being paranoid, and they'll let me know more after that day of training?

Does anyone know if the HHN hand fans are being sold this year, and if so, where? I went to the tribute store, store at the front of Universal, and the store near Big Fire. Couldn’t find it in any of those locations.

I’ve been considering going to HHN for years and finally have the courage to go this year. This will be my first time doing any kind of haunted experience with scare actors, and I have to admit I’m nervous. Any tips on things to bring/do to make my experience enjoyable?

Hi all, I’m (23f) a team member (production assistant) at universal studios Hollywood who just finished dress rehearsals for HHN. I know this post won’t address the people who are actually perpetuating this problem but don’t touch anyone!! Last year when I was walking Art around, it was either him getting grabbed and tapped for photos or it was me. STOP. I don’t know how to convince the general public that horror characters won’t take pictures with them when they’re scaring. Art literally has a photo opp this year at terror tram so I hope it won’t be as big of an issue with him but I am so scared for Nikki y’all. Ask me anything you want, I’ve only been here for 2 years but I am happy to help before the universal snipers take me out.

TLDR: don’t touch anyone at HHN!!

Been attending Orlando since 2008. Every year my roommate hooks us up with a ticket to go to Universal during the day, and we stay till HHN. Back in the day used to always do Stay and Scream at Finnegans. Last year it was at 2pm grab a wristband, and could hop in line early for a few houses.

This year is it only a separate upcharge? I see the 2pm tickets. We currently have a HHN ticket for that night, and a 2 park ticket for the day time that day. Are we good to hop in a line starting at 2pm that day?

Hey all! Heading to Universal in mid-September for 5 nights with HHN tickets for Saturday and Wednesday (Stay & Scream on Wed). No Express.
Debating swapping Saturday for Sunday, but need a reality check:

Saturday (Current): Flight arrives afternoon, enter HHN at 6:30 PM. Plan is a chill night for shows, food, scare zones, and 1–2 houses, then hit houses hard Wed.

Sunday (Proposed): Already a daytime park day, so we'd get Stay & Scream both nights, but it turns Sunday into a massive 14-hour marathon day.

Ticket Loss: Saturday tickets cost more, so swapping means forfeiting the price difference.

A couple questions for HHN regulars:

1. Is a mid-September Sunday significantly lighter than Saturday, or pretty similar?

2. Would you stick with Saturday/Wednesday or eat the ticket difference for double Stay & Scream on Sunday?

We're coming from the UK and have a RIP Pass booked on 28th Sep but on 3rd Oct we were hoping to do a universal park day. Will we be kicked out at 2pm (I believe that's when scream early starts?)while they change over to HHN?
