Hollywood First Timer

I’ve been considering going to HHN for years and finally have the courage to go this year. This will be my first time doing any kind of haunted experience with scare actors, and I have to admit I’m nervous. Any tips on things to bring/do to make my experience enjoyable?

Bring?? A friend. Honestly they make the scares more enjoyable as well as tamp down anxiety if you struggle with that. Everything is more enjoyable when it can be shared. But also the reddit and discord have sections to set up meet-ups for single goers so they dont have to be alone all night.

Bring a good attitude. Interacting with scare actors is most of the fun,, go live to the fullest. If they talk:: quip back,, throw a compliment,, laugh after getting spooked. Don't be the person who pays as much as we do to go and then gets upset or isn't down to clown.

Bring some emergency comfort items in your bag. Bandaids,, flats,, light coat,, aspirin. You're going to be in a theme park all night. There's a chance your very comfortable shoes suddenly suck to walk in and are giving you a blister on your little toe after walking in them for longer than a shift at work. Or maybe the drop in temperature at 10pm give syou shivers. I'm coming in from a hot southernstate and 70° at night for me is chilly 😭😭.

Bring all five stages of grief for your wallet if you want to participate in any of the fun past the stuff included in your tickets. I refuse to be in a theme park and not partake in all the themed food and drinks,, and they're worth the price IMO... But be prepared to spend standard theme park prices if you want a souvenir tee,, or cup,, or to try Art's Cold Brew cocktail.
