Question Does anyone know why this happens?
I have been finding these super thick kinky hairs for a few years now and Iām so confused about why this happens. The second photo is my hair naturally, very straight, but every now and then I find the curly ones. They feel like Afro hair texture. If anyone knows what causes this or how to stop it Iād appreciate the advice š

Question Dying hair for the first time
Hello! Iām thinking of getting part of my hair dyed for the first time. The first image is my inspiration picture, what I would theoretically want it to look like, except the black part would be my natural hair colour instead. The second image is the approximate colour of my natural hair. My three questions are:
a) Would I most likely need bleach in the dyed sections?
b) What should I expect to pay for the full dye job?
c) Whatās the difference between semipermanent and permanent hair dye, and how long could I expect each to last?
Thanks in advance

Before and After How it started vs. how itās going
After being conditioned into thinking curly hair was ugly/messy/the ābeforeā in every coming-of-age movie all my life, I finally took the plunge to embrace my natural texture last year. Iām starting to love it more and more and Iāll probably never go back!

Help Help! Told the stylist I was growing it out and just to reshape it. I don't know what to do with this butchered mess....
This mohawk-ish thing is...not me. I can't push it to the side because someone said I look like a nerdy teen boy. But pushing it forward is just bad too. It's too short to get trimmed to a different shape but this just makes my face look....exposed.

Help Just got out of the shower, have noticed this with dry hair too. Am I going bald? Is this reversible? (M24)
Hey everyone. Wanted to ask for help because my hair is something that means quite a lot to me. Iāve always wanted really long hair and I have it now, but sadly it seems that Iām starting to bald at the top of my head prominently, though itās only really noticeable when wet. Is this fixable? Should I shave it all off/go bald? Iām scared I donāt want a massive bald spot on the top of my head after Iāve for so long wanted nice long hair..

Help How would I go about getting a similar haircut to this comic character as someone who cuts her own hair 24/7 ?
So my hair has been long and straight/naturally slightly wavy for ages, and my little goth self needs a change.
My hair has been bleached and dyed a few times, if that matters, and Iāve been doing my own trims to give myself a kind of long wolfcut for a while, and Death from Sandman is an absolute favorite of mine, so I wanted her hair length and style for very goth reasons lol.
Could anyone help me by telling me if itād be possible, if itād look good on a real person, or if itād be too tough to recreate ? Pretty please ? š„²

Man, it would have been longer if I wasn't trimming it a bit too often. š„²

Question Next color/chop recs needed!
Should I go lighter or darker, bangs or no bangs, chop or stay long?
Trying to figure out whatās better for my skin tone and face shape. I typically donāt use heat on my hair and it hold color really well as I typically only get highlights every few years.

Help How can I get my hair back to the texture it was before? (M20)
Hello! I've had long hair for about four years now, when I first grew my hair out from ages 16-18, it was all very thick and in old pictures it looks much fuller and more uniform. Sometime in the past two years, the hairs on the front top of my head have changed to become much thinner/finer. I do not have a receding hairline, but the texture of that front hair has definitely changed while the ones further back have mostly stayed the same. My hair is naturally curly, but the ones at the front stay more strait now due to their texture. The main issue this causes is that my hair no longer looks as full, uniform, or cohesive. The front hairs are a much brighter blond, looks like there's less or they're more see through if that makes sense, and they separate to create different rogue strands rather than being one continuous curtain of hair.
I really love the way my hair looks in that first picture and want to cut my hair a bit and go for something like that, but I doubt it'll look the same because of my current texture issues. I know going from your teens to early twenties your hair's texture can change completely naturally due to hormonal changes. But I really miss that look of fuller/more uniform hair and want to see if there's a way to achieve it again.
Any suggestions? Thank you!

Help My curls underneath and in the back vs in the front and on top
How come my hair underneath has ringlets but my hair on top and close to face is just beach waves? š why does this happen? I wish it was curlier all over! Is there anyway to help with this? Or do I just have to get over it? Sometimes I feel like it looks messy because the curl pattern is so uneven.
Throughout the day I catch myself admiring the curls underneath and think how pretty they are, but nobody hardly ever gets to seem them. š

Help First time bleach blonde hair looks ugly-yellow and I feel like Iām doing everything wrong. How do I achieve my dream result?
Hello, everyone! I apologise in advance for the length, but I feel a bit helpless.
Almost two months ago, I went to the salon to dye and bleach my virgin brown hair (picture 1) into a Neapolitan (blonde, brown, pink) style (picture 2). It was one round of bleach and then toner (I think?) Ever since that day, my journey has been rather confusing.
All of the color had washed out within two weeks - i was left with blonde hair only thirteen days after getting the colors done at the salon (picture 3). I wash bi-daily, my hair is genetically predisposed to get greasy fast. I used purple shampoos from the drug store, no masks or anything though.
Ever since then, my hair has been getting yellower and yellower and now it reached a stillstand and is stuck the same yellow (pictures 4-5, most recent). I use a purple shampoo 1-2 a week and otherwise am TERRIFIED of touching it. Itās yellow and a little dry now, although it had never been perfectly healthy.. i wouldnāt say that itās frizzy or thinning or anything like that.
I badly want the blonde on picture 6 and itās been making me very sad because I canāt help but feel ugly. I grew up around women that didnāt care to be very feminine and didnāt teach me about things like hair dye etc. and I have no female friends that I can ask. When I go outside, I see myriads of beautiful women with blonde hair and darker roots, so they clearly bleach or dye it and manage to make it look half decent.
I have so many questions:
Is it normal for my hair to lose color so quickly? Especially the brown and pink?
How often am I meant to go to the salon?
Do most blonde ladies go to the salon? Do they do it at home?
Am I meant to be getting toners? A second round of bleach?
Iām planning an appointment at the same salon in 3-4 weeks and I plan to use picture 6 as the references. Iām so scared that Iāll waste money and itāll be all yellow again.. but I am also scared of mh hair falling out and still remaining yellow if I bleach again.
Iād love to hear some words of advice! Thanks in advance :))

Help What do you think my hair pattern is and what do i need to do for it to look better?
I donāt really go out with my natural hair I blow dry it most of the time and when I donāt blow dry it I put it up in a hair clip or french braids
I think my natural hair is abit wavy with some curls but I donāt know what pattern it is and what Iām supposed to do so it looks more put together and feel less messy
I want to go out with my natural hair but when it looks like this it doesnāt look good and Iām not sure what I can do
In the photos itās just styled with
a leave in conditioner, hair mousse, I diffused it and put a leave in serum for frizzy hair
Is it dry and frizzy? i really dont know and would like some help

soo im going back today but like what do i say or what should i expect? we just bleached my virgin hair and i wanted a level 9-10 blonde. wanted to have baby pink some time in the next few months too, which to my understanding also needs a level 9-10. some of it lifted perfectly but the rest is level 8 brass. i have a vacation next week and i rly wanted picture perfect hair for it ā¹ļø is there anything that can be done? everything i read says you shouldnt bleach it twice in a row but it looks so uneven šµāš«

Help Fine, unruly hair
After having my last child 30 years ago, my hair started coming in wavy/ curly. I have also lost a lot of hair over the years. I don't color it, I use a flat iron occasionally.
I have to use hair oil or finishing cream after I dry my hair because, to me, it's like cotton candy. There is no weight to my hair. It is a little past my shoulders.
So many products say, won't weigh your hair down. I need weight.
What products should I try?

Discussion Hair colour, worth it?
I really love these fun hair colours, looks pretty and nice but almost every time i have heard people saying that it damages your hair a lot and is very hard to maintain.
So i want to ask people who have colored their hair, whether it is that damaging or there are other options which are less damaging?
What are your general thoughts on colouring hair?

Question Reality of this Haircut?
I am set on cutting my hair shorter again (currently longer than shoulder-length). I have however not decided yet what haircut I want (itās probably either this or a short pixie cut) so Iām asking what the reality of having this kind of haircut would be:
How achievable is this styling for someone whose hair has a tendency to lay like 2009 Justin Bieberās hair when it has a short-ish length?
Time/Effort required for styling in the morning?
Is it going to hold like this or will I sweep the hair back with my hands every 2 seconds?
Anything else I havenāt considered bc I havenāt had my hair as short in years?

Discussion how good is the color wow range ? Would you recommend it for highlighted brunette hair ?
seen this product advertised so much so wondering if it really is as good as people say it is since itās quite expensive. donāt mind splurging on something that wonāt make me have to keep getting my hair toned and glossed every month at the salon since that seems to be more expensive š

Question Looking for some good styling products
I've avoided using any styling products in order to try and keep my hair as healthy as possible but finally decided it's time to start using them.
I don't really enjoy using hairspray or hair gel since I feel it makes my hair feel too greasy and "plastic" so was wondering if anyone had any product/brand suggestions
