Detroit, Michigan, USA quartet formed in the early 1970s by Frank Ewing, Doug Kahan, Mike Harner and John Ponder. Having spent several years on the city's club circuit, the band was spotted in 1977 by music impresario, Russ Regan and signed with Parachute Records, a subsidiary of Casablanca.

The following year, their debut "Music" was issued. National attention eluded the band despite opening slots with numerous touring acts, the band failed to catch fire and returned to the Detroit clubs without a label. Lineup changes ensued, including future Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer, Chad Smith before drifting apart in the early 1980s. Kahan would form Flash Kahan and later, DC Drive. Harner would move to Florida and embark on a solo career.
