Have you ever seen anything so stunning? 😍
The Hallows Eve pepper grows a BLACK plant with deep purple leaves. The peppers start out dark purple and slowly change as they ripen to have beautiful orange streaking that makes them look like they are glowing from the inside!
Even the flowers have white petals but purple splotches on them! These have been my "dream pepper" to grow for a couple years now and I finally have some!!
Thanks to the seed exchange peeps ❤️ You helped my dream come true. Wonder what cool pepper I should grow next year?

Pretty sure this year my batch of scotch bonnets are actually the old Jamaican mushrooms or am I wrong ?
I picked up a little sprouted plant from my local nursery that typically has a really good pepper selection so I figured why not.
Still going to make hot sauce with them but damn
UPDATE-- I GUESS THEY ACTUALLY ARE SCOTCH BONNETS STILL !
I think I got a little paranoid this summer with all the fake ones I've seen on this sub lol

By far the most evil looking pepper I've grown, of the 3 plants of this variety I'm growing this one has much gnarlier looking peppers than the rest.

10 gal regular ghosts (2 plants harvested) plus some habaneros. Average sized plants but great fruit bodies relative to the larger 20 gals I have (so far). The one has naga viper vibes

Anyone else bring your own hot peppers to restaurants? The Aji peppers are the perfect pairing with pizza and beer 😁!

I wanna send these homegrown chilies to a friend and have them arrive in good shape - any tips?

Tropical tiger, scotch bonnet, habanada, thai giant orange, puma, and lemon drop 🧡

Despite the cold spell here on the Dutch border, the chilis are ripening nicely

My weekend (and Monday) haul. Figuring what kind of sauces to make.

Grown in Michigan. Grower had no idea what it was.
Just ate one raw. Very earthy and almost soapy floral. Somewhere around habanero in heat? Certainly more than a jalapeño but maybe not as quite as hot as ghost.
Any help appreciated.
Edit: Thanks for all the responses. Almost certainly lemon drop. Quick pickled some this morning (with maple syrup, garlic) and ate with dinner. Much more mild than the original one I ate raw. And very good!

These are probably the best looking Carolina Reapers I've grown to date. No filter no flash! The nasty tails and little warts. We had a nice hot summer for them as well with an average of 82⁰f. They are also very very hot. Sadly my Scotch Bonnets turned out to be Jamaican Mushroom and my Korean Yellows turned out to be jalapenos....

My Reapers are ripening and because it's my first year growing I'm wondering how long to put them in for and what temperature?

The plants are still going strong and this will not be my last harvest. This second harvest is going to make some fermented habanero hot sauce.

Didn't even know I had the pest...but have seen a couple horn worm wasps so should've suspected as much. They're doing their job at least. Bring on the babies!

I got these plants as a gift and they obviously never got watered.
Any chance I can save the one with the bigger peppers?
I already soaked the vases yday night

Racing the October frost deadline but things are looking good — yellows, peaches, oranges, and deep reds/purples all popping at once on different plants. Loving the color spread this season, feels like a proper rainbow harvest coming together. First season doing superhots at this scale.

Tried out my new drying machine. Took roughly 10 hours on 55 degrees Celsius. Also kept a bunch of peppers for their seeds that I offer for exchange on Capsi.

Labeled as a habanero from Home Depot…. (Ignore the banana pepper in the background). First time growing Habaneros but I have never seen one with a stinger. Could this be a ghost, reaper, or a cross pollinated variety of a habanero? The pod is still pretty small but growing fast, and the other pods are about the same shape with a stinger.
