I cant seem to access a few tabs on the student portal including the pay my tuition and account summary. Does anyone know where exactly i can check for if osap has paid tuition yet?
Trying to return after Academic Withdrawal from poor grades but to a new department.
I had my first semester in September of 2023 and I failed after my first semester due to family issues alongside financial, physical, and mental health complications.
Initially i immediately applied for the rebound program but it was unfortunately filled up at the period so I decided to take a semester off and use it in trying to get my life together alongside considering whether the pathway i was on was what I truly wanted.
One thing turned to another and the single gap semester turned into 3 years.
But now i have gotten myself in shape and I was wondering what steps I could do to both get back into school but at the same time change my current department of study. I was also planning to start by January next year if possible.
So i need help with an advisor on what field of study i should do instead of my previous one and how i could return back in general.
I was just wondering where people park in North Campus because I just found out the absurd amount of money you need to pay for parking daily, not to mention per semester if you want to park every day
I am thinking of residential areas but I couldnt find any that either doesnt have a no parking sign (residential) or private property (plaza)
Does everyone just take the bus now or do you guys have a tech to not get towed or fined
Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone can help me because I’m honestly pretty stressed right now.
I applied to the Pre-Health Sciences program at Humber at the beginning of August and was recently accepted on Friday, August 28. I paid the $250 tuition deposit on Saturday, and Humber finally received/processed the payment today.
I originally thought that once I paid the deposit, I would be able to register for my classes. However, there was a hold placed on my account because the first half of my tuition was due, so I went ahead and paid that as well. The hold has now been removed.
But when I go to register for my classes, it’s saying: “There are no blocks with open sections.”
I’m really stressed because I’ve now paid the deposit AND the first half of my tuition, but it looks like there are no classes available for me to register in.
Has anyone ever encountered this before? If so, what did you do? Do I need to contact Humber about this, or should I go to the college in person and speak to someone? I’m not really sure what I’m supposed to do at this point.
I would really appreciate any advice or insight. Thank you!
Hey everyone, starting my first semester here at North campus next week, in the Law Clerk program. Might switch to paralegal program but thats besides the point. Just wondering what to expect with this campus as a male first year student well into their late 20s. I graduated from Uni like 4 years ago and decided to shift career direction. Im assuming its going to be tough to make connections with everyone around me almost 10 years younger than me, but I could be wrong.
Did you know that North Campus has 100-hectares of public gardens and nature trails as its backyard? Humber Arboretum exists as a tri-partnership between Humber Polytechnic, the City of Toronto, and Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA). We're open to everyone (not just the campus community) and free to visit.
This month we have some events just for Humber and UofGH students and staff:
If you're already on campus, join us tomorrow (September 2) or on September 16 for our Wednesday Welcome Walks, which are a general introduction to the Arb
On Wednesday September 9, bring your travel mug and grab some coffee before joining us for a morning bird walk
On Thursday September 10, we'll be indoors with a drop-in session to play some nature-themed board games
And on September 15 & 18 we have combination tours and info sessions for Faculty who are interested in incorporating nature into their syllabus
While there are many access points around campus, our main entrance (where the fanciest gardens are) is next to Residence Building T, across from the exit to Parking Lot 1.
We run events out of the Centre for Urban Ecology (CUE), which is this glass building with the red door at the top of the path to the right of our front entrance:
Centre for Urban Ecology (CUE)
You can find us on Instagram, Facebook, and Bluesky as "@humberarb" or drop by the CUE anytime during regular Humber hours to say hi and see what's up.
Welcome (back) to campus, and don't forget to spend some time outside this year!
I’m taking CULT228 in the fall and he’s the professor for my section and after checking his rate my prof score i’m a little nervous…. can anyone share their experience with him?
In the myhumber student portal, there is a photo of a library that I suspect is NOT at either campus of Humber. Looks more like New York or something to me.
Can anyone confirm that this is not a real library at Humber? or if it is, where is it?
I am going downtown tomorrow for the orientation day. However the Meet the Faculty webpage isn't working to get the essnetial information. Some places say that it is in person, others say its online but I dont know what my faculty is doing. Anyone know where I should be going for more info?
Why are the having scheduled maintenance the night before an event bro
Heyy im applying for next year and I live quite far and wanted to see how many times u guys have to go in a week, or if theres any classes online. Thanks
Hi there, I applied and received a tuition bursary award. In my account it says will be received by August 17th but I didn't receive anything. Does the money go directly to school instead of my personal banking account? Should I contact financial aid or wait until school starts for it to process.
I applied for the Pre-Health Sciences program at the beginning of August and just received my acceptance on Friday, August 28th. I paid my tuition deposit on Saturday, August 29th. I was just wondering how long it usually takes for Humber to receive/process the tuition deposit, and when I should expect to receive my class schedule.
If anyone has recently gone through the same process, I’d really appreciate any insight!
Having a rough time getting a hold of the Financial Aid Office.
I need to update summer semester's financial info as I earned over $5600 for the semester. Last I spoke with the Financial Aid office, they said to drop a letter off at the wellness center for lakeshore campus students. Can anyone confirm if that's true?
Second, how does one update their OSAP financial information if they need to make changes? Is it the same thing? I drop a letter off?
Hey everyone,
I’m currently in the process of finalizing my college applications for the upcoming January 11, 2027 intake. I’m a domestic student planning to apply for advanced engineering technology programs at Humber, George Brown, Seneca, and Centennial.
I’ve already completed my profile and have my transcripts and WES evaluations ready to link, but the $150 OCAS application fee is currently a huge financial barrier for me right now.
I’m reaching out to see if anyone happens to have an unused OCAS voucher code from a recent open house, recruitment webinar, or info session that they won't be using?
I’ve already sent inquiries to the financial aid/admissions desks at the colleges to see if they have any active promos, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to check here in case someone has a spare code they don't need.
If anyone can help out, please shoot me a DM! It would honestly mean a lot and help me lock in my choices before the programs start filling up.
Thanks so much in advance!
Anyone able to access blackboard yet? I got an email from my professor yesterday about it but I dont see the course on blackboard, and im not sure how to add it
Heyhey as the title suggests, looking for laptop recommendations! I used to depend on my school Chromebook so my knowledge for laptops are horrible lmfao/not sure what to look up. My price range is 700 to 2.5k, if possible I’d like a variety within those ranges just so I have options!
Touchscreen is something I don’t really care about. I’d like to be able to carry it around relatively easy. Not as important but truthfully I’d like to be able to play some games like roblox or even overwatch on it, guiltyyy lol 🙈
My program is medical laboratory technology if that helps too! Thank you for the help!!
Hi i applied to humber north for the upcoming winter and im looking at accommodations and a dorm/ student res would be a more suitable choice except for the fact that i vape. I know you arent allowed to in residence but i was wondering if people do? Do you ever set off the fire alarms? Would it be better if i find off campus housing? Thanks
Hello everyone! For those that are starting the Pharmacy Technician program in September you should note that the MYF session is on Thursday, not Friday.
I just got accepted to the Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Technician course North Campus. Starting in January 2027. I want to connect with people that are in the same course as me. Let's start a group chat and help each other out. my number is 647-294-4102
