I've wanted a proper gaming PC since I was a kid.
Not going to lie, this feels a little surreal finally having one sitting in front of me.
My first dedicated GPU was a GT 710, if I remember correctly. It obviously wasn't anything special, but at that time just having a graphics card felt pretty cool.
Then when I got to college, I bought a laptop with an RTX 4050. That laptop actually lasted me more than two years and I was pretty happy with it. I used it for basically everything — gaming, work, whatever I needed.
Then last month it suddenly started giving me the Blue Screen of Death, followed by the Black Screen of Death.
Initially I thought it was probably something that could be fixed. Drivers, Windows, RAM, SSD, whatever.
I ended up getting it properly checked at two official service centres and unfortunately both came to the same conclusion.
The motherboard was dead.
At that point I was obviously pretty pissed, but I'd already had this idea of building a desktop in the back of my mind for years.
So I decided not to rush into buying another laptop.
I waited around a month, saved some money, spent way too much time comparing GPUs and PC configurations, looked at a bunch of different shops in Nehru Place, changed my configuration about 500 times...
and finally went for it.
So here's what I ended up with:
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600
GPU: Sapphire Pulse RX 9060 XT Gaming OC 16GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte B550M K
RAM: 16GB DDR4-3200 (2×8GB) Zebronics D40832B
Storage: My existing 1TB NVMe SSD
PSU: Coconut X650 650W 80+ Bronze
CPU cooler: AMD stock cooler
Cabinet: 7YRO Black
Monitor: Acer 30" Ultrawide Curved
Total for the PC was ₹90,000 including GST.
I also got an Acer 30" ultrawide curved monitor for around ₹18,000, so the complete setup came to roughly ₹1.08 lakh
I know there are probably people who will look at the parts and immediately tell me I should have bought X instead of Y, and honestly that's fine. I spent quite a lot of time comparing different configurations before settling on this.
The GPU was probably the hardest decision.
I looked at the RTX 5060, RX 7700 XT, RX 7800 XT, RX 7600 XT, 9060 XT 8GB and 16GB, and even some older cards like the 3070 Ti and 3080.
I eventually went with the 9060 XT 16GB because I wanted the extra VRAM and, more importantly, I want to keep this PC for quite a few years.
I'm not expecting the Ryzen 5 5600 to be some monster CPU forever. At some point it'll probably be the thing I upgrade first. But for now I think it makes sense for what I'm doing.
Same with the RAM. 16GB is what I could fit into the budget right now, but I'll probably move to 32GB later.
The PSU is probably the component I'm least confident about, so I'm definitely going to keep an eye on it. If anyone has experience with the Coconut X650, I'd be interested to hear what you think.
And then there's the monitor.
Going from a laptop to a 30-inch ultrawide curved monitor is honestly one of the biggest upgrades of the whole experience. The first time I launched a game on it I just sat there for a minute looking at the screen.
I mainly play single-player/AAA games, so I'm not really building this around competitive 240Hz gaming or anything like that.
I'll probably test it with some of the heavier games I have and post the actual FPS, temperatures and VRAM usage once I've spent some time with it.
I'm especially curious about games like STALKER 2, DOOM: The Dark Ages, Cyberpunk, RDR2, Hogwarts Legacy, Witcher 3, etc.
I spent quite a bit of time getting quotes from different shops before buying.
I looked at places like Volted PC, ModX Computers, GIGAPLUS, Gaming PC Wala, Gen Alpha Gaming, PC Adda and a few others.
I ultimately bought the PC from Gaming PC Wala.
And honestly, I want to give them a shout-out here because without them I probably wouldn't have ended up with this exact machine.
The buying experience was good for me and they were willing to work through the configuration with me.
Obviously this is just my personal experience, so I'm not saying they're automatically the best shop in Nehru Place. I'd still recommend getting quotes from multiple stores before buying anything.
But for me, they were the ones who finally put the thing together.
And that's basically it.
I've wanted a gaming desktop for years, and after starting with a GT 710, then gaming on an RTX 4050 laptop, having that laptop's motherboard die, and then spending a month figuring out what the hell I should buy...
I finally have one.
Honestly, I'm just happy to have a proper desktop sitting on my desk now.
I'll add some pictures of the build and setup below.
Would love to hear what you guys think of the build, especially from people who have been using the 9060 XT 16GB or Ryzen 5 5600.

Lost crown was a really good game, due to the Ubisoft messy reputation and some audience hating on its genre the game didn’t became a huge hit.
We could have a got a part 2 if the game became a hit as devs proposed a part 2 to Ubisoft but due to not great sales it was never green lit.

I mean I understand a company being profit oriented. But the way Sony is handling the whole physical disc fiasco is so brutal. Almost like they are saying we don't give a damn to gamers. We will do what we want and you will follow us like a slave.

Will we ever see a new ISP and SIM telecom operator soon?
Jio and Airtel capping data at 3300 gb is worst.
Jio and Airtel force Air fiber technology in majority of areas which is even more worse for gaming.
Local ISPs are not that good everywhere in India.
Why are not ISPs like ACT Fiber and VI Fiber still not available everywhere in India?
Why don't India don't offer real high speed fiber Internets like Singapore, Japan, Finland, Rome and other countries?
Will we ever see a new ISP or telecom operator enter the Indian market soon?
Also, will we ever see Tata Docomo coming back?

As promised, this is an update to my previous post about Lenovo refusing to honour the ₹10,000 Amazon Pay voucher included with the Students Only bundle I purchased with my Legion Pro 5 Gen 10 -advertised at ₹2,999, invoiced at ₹2,909.88.
A lot has happened since.
On 31 August, Lenovo's Offer Service Team finally wrote to me saying that the offer "has been successfully added to your order" and instructed me to register using my order date.
So I followed Lenovo's instructions exactly.
It did not work.
I then investigated what Lenovo's own redemption system was actually doing.
Using the same machine and same state, I changed only the date submitted:
8 August — order/payment date: Lenovo's system returned Campaign 439 with status: ACTIVATED.
19 August — invoice date: Lenovo's system returned offers: [] — nothing.
So Lenovo's own system recognises my order date, while the invoice date returns nothing.
But there's an even bigger problem.
Campaign 439 doesn't contain the ₹10,000 voucher or the ₹2,999 Students Only bundle at all.
It contains three different warranty bundles, all showing zero vouchers.
So the campaign Lenovo's own system associates with my machine does not contain the promotional benefit I actually purchased.
I documented these findings and sent detailed escalation emails to Lenovo's redemption team and grievance officer on 31 August, asking them to manually issue the voucher and clarify which campaign my purchase was actually booked under.
Then Lenovo asked for my ID card
Instead of substantively answering those points, the Offer Redemption Team asked me for my telephone number and scans of the front and reverse of my student identity card.
This is where I drew the line.
My student status had already been verified and approved through SheerID before I made the purchase. SheerID is Lenovo's student-verification partner, and passing that verification was a prerequisite for purchasing the Students Only bundle.
I have the SheerID confirmation email.
I therefore replied that I would not be providing scans of the front and back of my student ID card.
That card contains my photograph, signature, residential address and Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) ID, along with other personal information. I don't see why I should provide a document containing all of that information to an offer-redemption team when Lenovo had already verified my student status through SheerID before taking my money.
I am not refusing to establish that I am a student.
That was already established before the purchase.
Instead, I attached my SheerID verification confirmation to my response and gave Lenovo permission to verify my student status directly with SheerID.
I did provide my telephone number, because I checked Lenovo's terms and they do require contact information.
Lenovo's terms specifically mention the serial number, contact information and a scanned copy of the purchase invoice for registration. A student ID card is not among those specifically listed requirements.
The campaign is also administered by Hash Connect Integrated Services Pvt. Ltd., an outside agency identified in Lenovo's own terms.
There is another major development
As of 1 September, Lenovo's original offer page no longer displays the ₹2,999 Students Only bundle or the ₹10,000 Amazon Pay voucher.
Fortunately, I have continuous, uncut and unedited video recorded on my phone showing the original Lenovo offer page, including the offer and its stated validity until 31 August.
I also have the invoice, terms documents, complete email chain, failed registration video and the saved responses from Lenovo's redemption system.
Where things stand
I paid for the bundle on 8 August.
Lenovo advertised the ₹10,000 voucher.
Lenovo subsequently confirmed in writing that the offer "has been successfully added to your order."
They told me to use my order date.
Their own system recognises my order date.
The campaign returned by their system contains no voucher.
My detailed escalation emails have not been substantively answered.
Instead, the redemption team asked me for the front and back of my student ID despite my student status already having been verified through SheerID.
My NCH complaint remains open, and I am waiting for Lenovo's response to the latest escalation.
24 days since I paid. Still no ₹10,000 voucher.
I'll update this post again when there is a substantive response.

I am dealing with a bizarre situation with Acro Engineering's RMA support and need to know if anyone else has faced this before I file an NCH grievance.
The Situation:
They are actively backtracking on their written warranty terms for a heavy Tier-A power supply, trying to force me to pay out of pocket for shipping, while simultaneously proving their logistics network is working perfectly fine for lighter items.
When my first XPG Core Reactor 650 Gold died in 2023, they arranged the pickup when I did not even ask for it. The replacement was a XPG Pylon 650 Bronze 80+ rated non-modular unit, which was another instance of not honouring XPG's claim: "In the event that production of the Product has been discontinued or factory repair service is no longer provided, XPG will, at its sole discretion, offer a substitute in equivalent level or class for such Product instead."
Has anyone successfully forced Acro to honour their XPG pickup policy for heavy components, or should I just ship it at my own cost and take them to E-Daakhil for the courier fees and deficiency of service?

I want to buy the Blood of Dawnwalker Day 1 edition, as I want the steelbook and the physical map that comes along with it. The issue is that I will want to sell the disc itself once I'm done playing the game. However, as per Bandai Namco, there will no case/game box other than the steelbook. Will people still buy the disc if I put it in a generic blue disc case ?

I recently built a PC using some used parts and I'm trying to figure out a RAM stability issue.
I got the following parts together for ₹22,000:
- CPU: Ryzen 5 5600G
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B550M DS3H
- RAM: 32GB (2×16GB) G.Skill F4-3600C18-16GTZN
- CPU Cooler: Stock AMD cooler
- Cabinet: Included
- SSD: Samsung 512GB NVMe - my own
- PSU: 750W - my own
- RAM configuration: A2 + B2
The RAM is rated for DDR4-3600 CL18 at 1.35V.
With XMP enabled at DDR4-3600, I ran MemTest86+ and got 3 memory errors after around 15 minutes.
MemTest showed:
Status: Failed
Errors: 3
I then disabled XMP and ran the RAM at the default DDR4-2133. It completed 2 full passes with 0 errors.
After that, I manually set the RAM to DDR4-3200 using the XMP timings and 1.35V.
At 3200, MemTest86+ completed 7 full passes with 0 errors:
- DDR4-3200
- IMC: 1600 MHz
- 2×16GB
- Passes: 7
- Errors: 0
My current BIOS version is F15.
What can be a issue? is this ram faulty?
Also, was ₹22,000 a decent deal for this combination?

Hi, I am Kangkan , a solo game developer from India working on Ko-Kho-Go.
It is set in an imaginary world inspired by the textures of rural Indian life, folklore, strange local legends, everyday absurdities and the kind of stories that blur the line between the familiar and the mythical. At the same time, it carries traces of the realities people actually live with.
if you don't mind, Please let me know your suggestions and what you look for from a 2d platformer? Storytelling , puzzles, characters and lore? What interest you towards a 2d game? Is it art, gameplay or the story? Or is it something else?
