Discussion Limited Time Events
It's really unfortunate that the game seems to punish players who haven't been here since day 1. I started playing a couple months ago so obviously I've missed a lot of limited time events. And it's making me sad. Like, I just finished the Queen's Palace quest line from the Eerie season, which was before I started, and despite the fact that the "Palace Ruins Cavern" shows up on my map, I can't access it because it's locked behind a limited time event quest that already happened.
It's also frustrating that despite the game officially saying you can start in Itzaland or Wishfield, you're punished by the limited time events for not doing Itzaland stuff.

Unfortunately, that’s how these live service gacha games work. So it will always be like this. I know this game has had some issues with balancing how much of that time limited content to put out. Every now and then I see posts about people being overwhelmed and not have enough time to finish everything, while some people complain about not having enough to do and finishing everything right away.

I ended up rushing a lot of story content because I was tired of missing out on limited event outfits and perks
It's not great for sure

tbf, especially in the first year, they encouraged a lot of rushing through even for players who were playing the story as it came out - at least tjat got better. but in general, they really need to rethink their new player strategy, that's for sure.

Ugh same. I understand why they split up 2.x given how 1.x went and I do like it better this way, but at the same time I’m a day one player who likes to take my time with content and I was so sad to have to rush through the first itzaland section in order to play the 2.3 event before it ended. I also had to rush 2.6 because I had barely put a dent in the boneyard by that time.

That's just how it is with gacha games. This is why I usually don't touch gacha games when they're already running for months or years. I only playing when the games are about to release, and decided later if I want to continue playing or not.

The palace ruins cavern is limited? What event?
All I know is I’ve been there but I joined after Eerie Season.

I totally feel you on that. Also with the event 3 star outfits to collect. It's really unfortunate that they're gone... But yeah, the limited time stuff stresses me out

I will say, it’s a double edged sword. As a day 1 player, lately I’ve been feeling like the pacing and release delays has undermined my experience of the base story, and I am jealous of the new players who get to play through those stories as one overarching plot instead of siloed bubbles. I kind of hated Itzaland all the way through to 2.6, but now that I see how the earlier plot connects to the finale I wish I could play it again. The plot really felt nonsensical in the early stages before they created connecting threads BECAUSE of the hard stops build into it. Take the 2.8 content for example…. They put in a 2 week time gate for the 2nd half of the plot, and when the time gate expired you’re thrown into a boss fight as soon as you start the quest, and then the plot is completed in a half hour….. their intermissions are ruining the experience.

I hate that I didn't get to experience Blue tears story. It has hands down my favorite music in the game. I understand the events and diamonds are gone, but I wish they left the story for us to play, since they left the dungeon anyway.

Yeah unfortunately games like this are very punishing for new players or returning ones :( If you feel like this is a game you'll love if given enough time (and once you've built a decent wardrobe the dress up elements are fantastic) then it's worth the patience, but be ready to be very overwhelmed by everything and not being able to get everything. Hell even as a day 1 player you'll have to skip lots of things, it is a gacha game and a really predatory one for that matter, so unless you spend an ungodly amount of money there'll be things you won't get.
The game is made to be frustrating so you spend money. Again if you really love dress up games then this one is (unfortunately) the best one we have, but you have to be patient and learn to deal with the frustration, though it's totally normal to feel that way at first.
Also this sub gets really rude about negativity and will downvote posts like yours but don't get discouraged, looooots of people are in the same position as you. The discord is nicer so if you want to find other people to talk about this feel free to join it! It does help to have friends or a community to share your enthusiasm or complaints about the game

I didn't know that Palace Ruins Cavern was tied to the event since it is still accessible for people who played it back then. So is 100% florawish impossible then? I remember it even had multiple readables and such.

On the other hand, this is probably the main reason that I'm still playing, as I'm a day one player and I feel pretty good about having experienced every patch live and owning 99% of all free items + many more with buying the 20€ pass every patch. Even if I don't enjoy patches, it's much harder to stop, as the emotional connection and the "I have achieved so much already, I can't stop playing" feeling is so intense 😅 but in the end it's all still pixels and if I stop it feels like it was all for nothing, because selling an account is probably near to impossible
