I was talking to my best friend’s dad who is a Pipe fitter in a local union. He was kind of giving me shit about the IW stealing their work on multiple occasions by doing handrails/ mezzanine’s or even welding some pipe to ASME instead of D1.1. Now that I think about my hall just started offering some pipe certs too! I’m thinking he might be on to something. ( always heard how carpenters steal OUR work, but never us stealing work )

So how often have you genuinely seen the IW stealing work ? It could be from any trade!

so i could have an opportunity to go work at the new TSMC plant in phoenix but im an apprentice from texas. i know technically we’re not supposed to boom out as apprentices but what if i just don’t say anything? if i could get kicked out for it then i wont consider it at all but realistically whats the worst that could happen to me?
