It baffles me how many people in Jax (and around the country) support this church and its infiltration into our communities without providing resources or financial aid to those struggling in their own backyards. I'm looking for companies that are the polar opposite of Lickety-Split. Places that actually care about their customers, give fair pricing, and have technicians that actually know what they are doing.

Our 15-yr old HVAC is giving up the ghost and has been running non-stop, while barely able to keep the house cool.

I got quoted $9,700 for a 3-ton system. I'd like to get another 2-3 quotes to compare and negotiate this with.

Does anyone have an HVAC company they can vouch for?

And again, no mentions of Lickety-Split! It's my opinion that company is ran a bunch of bottom-feeding consumer-hating parasites.

What a time.. i was only like 7-8 but parents would bring me there every weekend to see the concerts and go to hooters afterwards (don’t ask why my dad was probably eyeing the waitresses😂) but yea man wish i could go now since I’m legal drinking age would be a blast…😔

I was stopped at a red light on my motorcycle when the car behind me hit me and knocked me off the bike. I ended up hurting my leg and arm pretty badly and had to get checked out after. Now the driver is saying I stopped too suddenly, which I really don’t understand because the light was red and I was already stopped. Has anyone dealt with something like this before? I’m mostly worried about them trying to twist the story and make it sound like I caused it.

I lived at The Villas at Ortega from 2022 until 2026, and unfortunately, this was one of the worst rental experiences my family has had.
The photos attached are actual photos from the apartment where my wife and I lived. They show damaged flooring, mold around the ceiling vent, a deteriorated bathtub, poor bathroom conditions, and pest issues. I also attached documentation showing that we lived at this address.
I always paid my $1,800 monthly rent on time. However, the condition of the apartment was not the only problem. Our experience with the new office staff was extremely disappointing.
My disabled partner, who recently had surgery, visited the leasing office several times regarding maintenance issues. After one visit, she came home in tears because she felt she had been treated disrespectfully and mocked.
I also experienced behavior from an employee that I considered hostile and unprofessional. He slammed his hand on the desk and challenged me to come to the office. Management can review their security camera footage from that day to see what occurred.
I was told that if I did not sign a one-year lease, I had to leave. I asked to remain month-to-month temporarily while searching for another home and offered to continue paying rent, but my request was denied. On July 2, 2026, I received a 7-day notice to vacate.
After years of paying rent, my family deserved better treatment and better living conditions.
This review reflects my personal experience. I am documenting everything with photos and records and pursuing my rights through the legal process.
If you are considering renting here, I strongly recommend visiting the property yourself, carefully inspecting the exact apartment you will receive, asking questions, and making your own decision before signing a lease.
