I'm on a scavenger hunt and need to take a picture with my sign next to a live bumble bee. Anyone know of any good bumble bee bushes or trees I can visit?

Who here has a housekeeper that isn't also a con artist?? I'm looking for someone who is a PROFESSIONAL. A lot of these companies are just randoms who spent $30 on cleaning supplies at DG and called it a business. Where are all the companies with steam cleaners?? WHY am I always getting people with dollar tree mops and Ocedar (2nd worst mop in world)???
I'm on my 3rd cleaning service and getting frustrated. This time they came over with one of those dollar tree mops that shed everywhere, effectively making the floor look dirtier. Tons of dust on surfaces they thought I wouldn't check. She asked me to look around and point out what I wasn't satisfied with, but then got annoyed that I pointed stuff out.
A lot of people think they can clean, but they can't. Just because something is "easy" and everybody is capable of doing it, doesn't mean they do it well.
I have major OCD and need someone who can accommodate this. I'm looking for a cleaner who would be able to satisfy the likes of JOAN CRAWFORD because basically that is who I am. Please, give me your best recommendations.

I am moving to Jacksonville here soon for work, and I am looking for options for boarding and grooming for my 2 dogs.
I'll be living near the eTown area off of 295, so if there are any suggestions near there, I am open to it.
I'm more interested in boarding than I am grooming, as I will have to travel some for work.

Hey, I've got a bunch of questions! I'm trying to find a good, affordable apartment near UF Health (safety is super important to me) that's in a good school district (8+ elementary). And I really need a place with no roaches, no mold, in unit washer and dryer , and at least 3 beds/1+ bath. My preferred zip codes are 32207, 32224, 32258, 32246.
What do you suggest for places after the bridge? Apartment names or zip codes would be awesome.
Which areas after the bridge are considered safe towards the northside?
Has anyone lived at Wynnfield Lakes, The Club at Danforth, or Country Club Lakes? if you can give any feedback, advice or confirm School names and bus availability.
Is it even possible to find townhomes in Jax without a full month's rent for a deposit?
Feel free to answer whatever you're comfortable with, even if it's just one part. ❤️ I just overwhelmed and in hurry to find one soon [I live outside Florida]
Thanks a bunch in advance!

Any of you guys aware which local card shops host weekly games of the One Piece TCG? If so, tell me which ones and I will take it from there. Thanks!

My dad and i are new to the area, he’s in his 60s and is fairly weak but would love to find a calm place to let his dog run around for a while so he’s not as bored. The dog has decent recall but isn’t super great around other dogs and with my dad not being able to chase him or break up a fight i’m just wondering if there’s an area or park around that would work for him. thanks!!

Hi there! So me and my partner just found out we’re moving to Jacksonville in 3-4 weeks for a job opportunity. We have never lived in Florida so we aren’t totally sure where to start when it comes to finding an apartment and would love some recs! Our top choice right now is Alexander pointe in orange park, but I’ve heard commuting from there to Jacksonville SUCKS so I’m conflicted. Here is what we’re looking for:
Budget: 1400/month MAX preferably in the 1000-1200 range
1-2 bedrooms (we’d like to have some sort of office space even if that’s just a dining room we put a desk in)
Pet friendly
7-8 month lease
In unit washer and dryer
Things we’d like to have:
No carpets
Easy commute to downtown and the beach
Be in a good area with lots to do
Outdoor space (patio, small yard, etc)
I know the budget will make it hard to find stuff but we don’t need a super nice luxury apartment as long as it’s clean and doesn’t have pest problems.

I'm looking for companies that are the polar opposite of Lickety-Split. Places that actually care about their customers, give fair pricing, and have technicians that actually know what they are doing.
Our 15-yr old HVAC is giving up the ghost and has been running non-stop, while barely able to keep the house cool.
I got quoted $9,700 for a 3-ton system. I'd like to get another 2-3 quotes to compare and negotiate this with.
Does anyone have an HVAC company they can vouch for?
And again, no mentions of Lickety-Split! It's my opinion that company is ran a bunch of bottom-feeding consumer-hating parasites.

We are looking to buy a home in that area however I want to make sure it’s a great fit for my kids as well. I would like the (middle) school to be multi cultural with tech & guitar electives.

Hey r/Jacksonville
We have noticed a growing number of posts from people looking to make new friends and talking about how hard it can feel to meet people organically lately. You are not alone, and we want to help channel that energy into something positive and consistent for the community.
Welcome to Friend Finder Friday, a weekly thread where you can introduce yourself, share your interests, and see if anyone else is looking to connect.
This thread is strictly for PLATONIC friendships.
R4R, dating, hookup, or romantic-seeking comments will be removed. There are other spaces on Reddit for that. This is not one of them.
How this works
This thread is meant to reduce individual friend-seeking posts while giving everyone a centralized place to connect in a low pressure way.
Important safety note
r/Jacksonville and its moderation team are not responsible for any interactions, relationships, falling outs, stolen hoodies, situationships, pregnancies resulting from not staying platonic, awkward silences, ghosting, or failed or deeply weird meetups that happen as a result of this thread.
We will, however, consider taking full credit for any new besties, lifelong friendships, successful trivia teams, DND parties that actually meet consistently, gym accountability partners, concert buddies, kickball championships, overwhelming fun, critical success rolls, or the discovery of your new favorite taco spot.
As always, use common sense. Be safe. Meet in public. And please, for the love of all that is good, keep it platonic.
Please:
If something feels off, walk away. Your safety comes first.
Any comments that are creepy, harassing, romantic-seeking, or otherwise violate subreddit rules will be removed.
Be kind. Be respectful. Keep it platonic. Hopefully make a new friend or two. 💙
See you next Friday.

Now expanding into ponte vedra and recently purchased the glass factory event space. It baffles me how many people in Jax (and around the country) support this church and its infiltration into our communities without providing resources or financial aid to those struggling in their own backyards. Nothing shows the love of Jesus like purchasing large real estate properties all over Florida!

The little lad(y) landed on my neighbor's head. Took us several attempts, we caught it. I have pictures available if you're missing a bird.
