Any tool makers or 3-d printers out there that can make a urx6 barrel nut tool? I see some airsoft ones but don’t know if they will work on the real thing. I’d rather not buy/have something shipped from China but don’t want to lay down $700 for the official KAC kit.

I wanted to see if anyone knew the current value of this complete upper unfired, new in box.

I recently purchased a KAC front sight and noticed something unusual when I tried to adjust the elevation.

Unlike a normal front sight adjustment mechanism, the adjustment wheel on mine had no distinct clicks or detents at all. Instead, it felt more like a free-spinning wheel. I could rotate it continuously without feeling the individual adjustment positions I would normally expect.

At first, I thought there might be something wrong with the spring or that the detent mechanism was simply stuck.

So I decided to take the adjustment mechanism apart and inspect it.

To my surprise, I found that there was no detent ball inside the adjustment mechanism.

The part that appears to be designed to provide the detent/clicking function was simply empty. There was no small steel ball or similar component providing positive indexing for the adjustment wheel.

Finally got the KS1 back from Raid with the NiR FDE Coating. After a glance, they did a phenomenal job. Sent in around mid-June, and received yesterday, but definitely never in a rush for work like this. Kudos to them.

Optics package is a contract Factory Vortex 1-10 LPVO in FDE with the correct FDE Acro and Reptilia Mount. Can't wait to shoot 3 MOA with this cannon, LOL.

For comparison is the grandpappy of this carbine, the venerable SR15 Mod 1 Carbine Factory SBR.

Dude was mad that I did goods and services I even tossed on another $20 to cover the charge just to be nice. What happen to the good ol days where you could trust people in the pew community. Hopefully Venmo will let me get my money back.

Just picked a KS3 and want to the replace the QD end plate for a single qd end plate. From what I’ve read the pin at 6 o’clock interfaces with the buffer tub ? How is that that supposed to be removed ?

Any reason to keep the KAC en plate over one from Magpul ? I dont really see then benefit of the 3 QD positions as I usually just run single QD end plate

Anyone know if this is fine or somewhat common on the older models? It’s a 2015 - if it’s an issue, is there a way to send to KAC for refurbishing? Didn’t shoot the rifle yet - recently picked it up.
