“Tiny Mech”

Hi there! This is Phiphibrick, a minifig and mech creator on Instagram. I wanted to share my new LEGO Ideas submission with you all: a 2-in-1 mech set that can be built into either three chibi mechs paying tribute to classic LEGO themes, or rebuilt into a single standard-scale mech! Both configurations can be stripped of their armor down to their bare frames, making it super easy for builders to customize their own styles. My hope with this project is to help more people experience the pure joy of designing custom mechs!

A few months ago, I designed the "S-Core" mech frame. It features natural, human-like proportions, intricate mechanical details, high articulation, and plenty of connection points for customization.

Ever since developing the S-Core, building mechs has become incredibly easy and efficient for me. Just by tweaking the outer armor and accessories, I can create completely different styles in no time. While I’ve always shared the free building instructions, I still get messages every week asking if they can buy physical kits directly.

To make this frame easily accessible to builders worldwide, I have officially submitted the project to LEGO Ideas!

This project is a 2-in-1 modular creator set:

• Model A (The Classic Trio): Three chibi mechs paying tribute to iconic LEGO themes—Space, Castle, and Pirates.
• Model B (Titan Knight & Cyber Pup): Rebuild all three into the highly requested standard-scale mech, accompanied by a dynamic, poseable cyber pup.

Core Feature: Every single mech can be stripped down to its bare S-Core inner frame, giving you the perfect canvas to customize and build whatever you imagine.

We need 10,000 votes on LEGO Ideas for this project to be reviewed and potentially turned into a real, official LEGO set!

Made some modifications to my red/black mech and made a custom stand for display! We're going a bit more offensive this time around, ditching the handheld shield for massive missile launcher! Please let me know what you think + anything you think I should add! (Also Ravioli was "helping" with the photography :3)

During the development of the Tonkerton its designer, Lord B. Humming, decided that it was time to replace the pocket watch with something more appropriate to this age of mechanical suits. He devised plan of a walking suit with the finest time piece affixed to its torso. His idea being that when you needed to know the time, you simply beckoned one of its riders, known as 'clockers', to ride over to you so you could see the time. This design became known as 'Little Ben' by the public, much to Lord Hummings displeasure, as he would often remark that his design "was not a bell".

Following the successful introduction of their totem omnimech, Clan Blood Eagle has won a trial of possession to gain the technical blueprints and rights to produce another clan omnimech.

Work has started on the lower portion of the center torso, and the beginnings of the hip assembly.
Any guesses as to which omnimech they have obtained?

The decision has not yet been made as to whether this is built in the prime configuration, of a clan specific refit.

Designed for u/that-bro-dad's game Brassbound, this little guy sits exactly at the build challenge's limit of 35 parts. (Gif has a different sword because I had to change the sword when making it irl)

PerTech's: R.A.B. (Rapid Assault Bunny); Despite taking the form of a bunny, it's far from it. This rabbit is equipped with the latest PerTech has to offer. An energy rail cannon with discharging energy cells. Capable of searing through any material. originally designed for industrial uses, now sees use the coming conflicts ahead.

Wojtek Industry's: HMARS (High Mobility Artillery Recon Suit); Nicknamed "Mars" by pilots. This unit is extremely deft, even for being the size of a sky scraper. It can be equipped with an assortment of weapons, the main one is a 120 mm bolt action anti material rifle. Choosing to forego the scope for drones and satellite tracking for making shots. Without support, they are just as deadly with complex sensors all around it's frame. These quick footed marksmyn dominate most of the world, but not for long.

i made a post a while back, it was just robots at the end of the day. granted, micro mechs, but still robots.

today that ends, i will only makes true mechs!

This is my first mech in bigger scale, and I wanted to make him as agile and posable as I could.

Unfortunately, I did poor job capturing jet backpack on camera, but he does indeed have deployable posable engines and wings.

There's an absurd amount of mixel joints in the upper torso, allowing his shoulder assemblies to move up-down and back-forward.

But I think the most complex part is still his feet, having coupled sets of friction joints to hold the weight - surprisingly, they're even stiffer than the waist with coupled balljoints - and integrated rubber parts to prevent sliding.

I like how you can tell that set 31152 was heavily used in the process.

This is a series of MOCs I've been making this year, that I imagine as the heroes and villains of a popular serial adventure holoshow on Planet Robotica called 'The Astro-Kids' and it's spin-off 'Astro University'.

They're built in a sort of "action figure" scale between about 5" and 16" tall--my attempt at making robot characters who feel a bit like "real" toys based on a Saturday morning cartoon. As a rule, they all have to have rocketpacks so they can fly through space.
