"He needs to resign. That’s the bottom line.” Ranchers are outraged over Trump’s move to flood the market with 300,000 metric tons of discounted beef.

If only anyone could have seen this coming

u/tech510 3d ago

Correction, they were too stupid to realize and read what was right in front of them… it written for the public to see…

247

u/MrsKaich 3d ago

In addition to being stupid, I think their ignorance, racism, and their “own the libs” mentality played a huge part in their (our) demise as well.

132

u/Status_Apartment6559 3d ago

I think a lot of them thought, yea he's a little shady but he'll never just blatantly screw us plus he'll put those damn Dems in their place!

71

u/XBMET 3d ago

And he'll bail them out with taxpayer money like last time LOL!

37

u/Crafty-Help-4633 3d ago

Nah he is spending that money on foreign beef, instead.

50

u/Fragrant-Anywhere489 3d ago

He's telling the rest of MAGA that he's doing this for the ranchers and they will believe it just like the ranchers believed it when he was screwing someone else. They all voted for him and most likely will again because if he's still breathing in two years he's running.

40

u/Crafty-Help-4633 3d ago

100%

Their only regret is that it is currently affecting them personally.

26

u/JB-Wentworth 3d ago

And not those people.

23

u/Crafty-Help-4633 3d ago

Yep. It was undeniable when those "he's not hurting the right people" videos started being posted.

9

u/Fragrant-Anywhere489 3d ago

I can hear them now JB. It's my money and I want it NOW!

8

u/factsarefornerds 2d ago

First the government takes their workers away, then takes their jobs away.

The fact he is willing to openly alienate his own supporters so regularly does not bode well for elections. He does not need them, and that should be a very serious concern.

2

u/HearMy2Cents 2d ago

Next, the big farm corporations will swoop in and buy their farms out of bankruptcy! Then tell them we will let you pay us rent to live there and you can run the farm for $7.25 per hour for us! The farmers will go from making millions to minimum wage in less than two years! Sad!

2

u/ValuableCoast5931 7h ago

This is what I get from his actions lately. He has no fear of pissing off his worshippers. At some point before his last election he told “his evangelicals” it was the last time they’d have to vote, right? And it wasn’t because it was his second and legally last term.

2

u/IDiedAHundredTimes- 2d ago

Exactly, every single one of these unbelievably stupid fucking assholes couldn't have possibly given less of a fuck about (gesturing wildly around) ALL of the bullshit of the last decade but now that one teeny tiny specific aspect of all this bullshit happens to be fucking them over only NOW is it a super terrible awful horrific problem. Fuck all of them, hope they all continue having the worst lives possible.

2

u/aTickleMonster 2d ago

Except, he did the same exact thing to them the first time he was in office... There's no way he'd do it to them AGAIN... Right?

2

u/TheVeryBear 1d ago

The “jaguars weren’t supposed to eat MY face” phenomenon.

God of only there was a short poignant poem about how fascists will hurt others and if I don't speak out when it starts there won't be anyone to help me when it's my turn...

Lol got that know it

6

u/mishma2005 3d ago edited 3d ago

Trump is trying to make it so they can butcher their own stock for market w/o using the USDA so they’ll have that going for them!

9

u/ValuableCoast5931 2d ago

Yeah how’s that going to work though? There are more costs with that. There aren’t enough inspectors now- get ready for the free-for-all of mystery ingredients and who knows what kind of contamination. I’m sure most farmers are not going to do anything stupid, but there are -always- bad actors or people who are not smart enough to do things right. If the beef won’t sell locally, then there’s more expense to ship it somewhere. Then there’s the matter of who is going to buy their beef at higher prices after Trump floods the market with tons of cheap beef coming in under a heavy cloud of mystery over where they came from. The man likes to talk so much, let him tell us where’s the beef coming from.

→ More replies (1)

6

u/IrascibleOcelot 2d ago

The thing is, they already can. USDA grading is optional that they pay for. The reason that they pay for the USDA inspections is because they can get much more for certified top-quality meat than they can for random, “I guess it’s ok, maybe” ungraded beef.

2

He'll bail out the corporate producers and distributors, never to actual ranchers

Correct. First they will laugh at the “libtard” that cant buy a pound of meat for 20 usd, and then, and only if there is energy left from laughing, they will cry at the 2 usd a pound they’re getting. Most of the time there wont be much energy left from all that “own the libs” laughter

Absolutely and they all sit there a watchin' the fox news...meanwhile thanks to their patronage Rupert and Lachie the 2 Aussies who propagandized the USA to not pay taxes are sitting in their massive "Beaverhead Ranch" (appropriate name) in Western Montana doing whatever rich assholes do, probably enjoying some big ole US steaks

u/Flacier 3d ago

It also destroyed 100 years of bipartisan good will many people had towards farmers. I hope it was worth it.

44

u/PeyredB 3d ago

That's an important point. Most Democrats kind of felt for our small farmers (and ranchers in this case), wanted to help them succeed. But since they took a big steaming dump on that (and us) in the election, most of us are ready to just leave them to their fate.

28

u/Active-Read-7097 3d ago

They have Boot straps right?

12

u/Unique-Coffee5087 3d ago

Yeah, and as far as I'm concerned, they can boil them for a long time and eat them.

12

u/PeyredB 3d ago

On a serious note, if you eat rotisserie chickens often, you can save up two or three carcasses and then boil them to make chicken soup.

4

u/Complete-Tangelo1532 3d ago

Makes for a good stew

2

u/PeyredB 2d ago

I hadn't tried stew - I've always broken in spaghetti to make chicken noodle soup.

Yup that’s me and I have been saying it since 2016. I am tired of these farmers always dodging responsibility for their actions. As I said elsewhere no more burning Political Capital on Farmers they will never appreciate the help and will just want more. Fuck them.

4

u/JGR03PG 3d ago

Do you think Democrats will break up the monopolies to help the farmers? It’s not just beef… all crops including rice and soy that suffered under both terms of tariff wars, need a better market to sell to. Some actually got better prices selling overseas that they don’t get anymore.

They’re completely stupid. To actually believe he has ever cared about anyone other than himself you have to be a complete idiot. These are the same uneducated fools who believed a guy with six business bankruptcies who managed to bankrupt a casino was some brilliant businessman.

The stupid. They walk among us.

17

Yeah education can be expensive. That's why it's always important to learn to read and take time to understand ramifications of what you're potentially voting for. But these are the salt of the earth... you know morons.

10

u/Milly_Hagen 3d ago

Doubt it. Could've spent the time they spent at Trump's MAGA rallies reading. They didn't. Oh well.

not only that but they enjoyed our pain. they reveled in it, glorified cruelty, exulted in our dislike. they FED on it. It wasn't just a difference of opinion- they stood on that shit with glee, in a way you only see in bullies in bad teen movies. I have never seen such a sheer lust for pain and enjoyment of others suffering in my life.

how the worm turns

6

u/Crafty-Help-4633 3d ago

They didn't even have to read it themselves, though! We did, and told them what was stated in it, and they told us to "fuck off, cucks!"

So now atp I'm just hitting them with "who did you vote for?" And "love it or leave it!"

Can't ignore reality, then tell off the people who warn you, and then beg for help from the people you told off when the thing you were explicitly warned about, happens. We tried to tell them, they told us to fuck off. Leopards, meet faces. 🤷‍♂️

3

u/RoundMammoth2947 3d ago

Actually, they're just racist idiots and voted that he would get rid of all the brown people. But a rapist does not care about anyone else but themselves so..

3

u/Holiday_Regular9794 3d ago

The crazy thing is that administration knew even if their loyal worshipers saw it in black and white, they would still vote that thing

2

u/Moist-Carpet888 3d ago

Now if those kids could read they'd be very upset

2

u/Cavthena 3d ago

If it was stupidity you could rest easy. It's unfortunately much worse than that. They knew what Trump would do and chose to vote it anyway because it wasn't suppose to be them paying the cost. It was the "liberals" and immigrants that should be paying the price.

Thanks what makes it so terrifying and well I'm ok with them getting it in return.

Correction to the correction: they thought they cared MORE about 'certain other things' than a well-run, relatively low corruption government that allowed for stable markets gave them free handouts previously. Then when reality hit them, they realized they did, in fact, care more about the stable markets and free handouts more than those 'other things'.

2

u/Perpetual-Warlock 2d ago

And, although I give him credit for coming around at least a little bit, they say things like "he should resign". They still have faith that he would do the right thing himself. They still haven't seen that he is a con man who would never admit fault let alone resign. The damage runs much deeper than we think.

2

I honestly wonder if they were asked if they could go back to 2024 knowing what they know now, if they would've voted for Harris instead.

I have a feeling every single one of them would hem and haw and make excuses for why they just couldn't vote for her. Except the few that would straight up say a woman of color shouldn't be president with no hesitancy.

Watch them vote for the exact same shit in the Midterms too.

51

u/Upbeat-Fondant9185 3d ago

Oh they absolutely will. I just saw it with all my coworkers this week.

They’re pissed at how things are going, pissed at costs, pissed at billionaires, confused as hell by Trump and this war. Pretty much every conversation we have we’re in full agreement about what needs to change. For the first time we all agree on practically everything.

We had runoffs for primaries last week. Every one of them voted for the “Trump candidate”. Every single one.

When I asked why the hell they’re voting for the same thing that is causing all this they could basically only give one answer: I can’t vote for the other one, what else am I supposed to do?

I just don’t get it. I don’t know if they understand what voting actually is. It’s like they feel a legal obligation to support these candidates and they have no choice. It’s so strange.

24

u/Falcon_Bellhouser 3d ago

It's teams. I'm obligated to be a Seahawks fan. I can't walk around in a Patriots jersey. I'd be shunned.

The very churchy grandma who lives next door votes straight R. She literally doesn't even know the candidates' names. She thinks that's god's team.

16

u/srpntmage 3d ago

This right here.

I'm a Cleveland Browns fan. If they are losing and making horrible decisions I'm still a Browns fan. I'm not going to go root for Pittsburgh, I'll just bitch and complain about how bad the Browns are doing.

Rural Republicans are exactly like that. Trump could destroy everything... make their lives hell, and they will 100% still vote Republican. There is not other choice for them.

They are too damn stupid to see that this isn't two teams, that USA is one team and you fire a bad coach if you have to make it better.

8

u/Falcon_Bellhouser 3d ago

The coach analogy is dead on. Normally functioning democratic countries tend not to reward failure.

The sheer fact they voted to have their own business choked out is insane. Trump is known for being in real estate. He know how cheap property gets when its foreclosed and jd's is part of an investment firm that buys these up and sells them to the big 4 farming companies. You literally voted to put yourselves out of business.

1

u/Premodonna 3d ago

Trump ran his campaign on the basis he will get the stupid voter fired up to vote for him while selling them his policies will not impact those voters. Yet the Trump voters now are crying and pleading their normal ignorance and wonder why they are victims of a con man who is treating this country like is company his private equity firm bought is pilfering.

They will vote for him again in 2028 if he violates the Constitution and runs, or for any other far-right candidate.

u/schmapeschmape 3d ago

This is communication. They are literally just saying they want a bailout or some other form of help. Farmers do this too.

They don't want any social welfare programs that everybody can enjoy because that's socialism. Later, farmers and ranchers get a handout or bailout, wink, wink.

Farmers and ranchers are really greedy, selfish people.

u/BrickEastern5892 3d ago

They will still vote for red...when brain cells are full of hate for other side

1

u/Hermengilda 3d ago

They could have had this

1

u/firebirdone 3d ago

Yep, too many registered, uninformed, voters.

u/Icy_Fish_2154 3d ago

The messenger was a woman, and Indian, AND Black. How were they supposed to know it was the nice old white man who was lying, and not the [spits on the ground] female?

It's the Democrat's fault for not running an old white man.

It's as if this isn't the 2nd term.

Racism is an addiction that blinds you to reality. People get high on superiority talk, and Trump's narcissism was a mirror to that sense of racial superiority and fear of others. Then, reality hits, the narcissist that grabbed your soul actually feeds off it.

u/Practical_Hotel_8791 3d ago

Trump loves the poorly educated

1

u/BurntOutSamwise 2d ago

You mean what was to be seen as the most pharaonic ‘in your face’ ‘bow down and kiss my feet’ bypassing of checks and balances reality check of an open book test brought to you by Project 2025 that in the run up to the 2024 election Trump claimed he had no idea who was behind it even though it’s chief architect has become our shadow president? Golly, gee-huk. If only we could have seen this coming or knew about it ahead of time. GOP undoubtably has an obsession with authority (not stability) as well as idolizing professional perverts.

1

u/officer897177 2d ago

Follow up question, would you ever vote anything but republican?

Their outrage is meaningless

1

u/Soepkip43 2d ago

The project 2020 document is still up, they can just read up on this whole plan if they wanted to.

But they voted for him and will vote for his successor.

1

u/f23n09fnu0w 2d ago

Trump loves the uneducated. He said it helps with the votes. It's a sort of Darwinism

1

u/Jelly_baby_4 2d ago

They thought they were gonna get a bailout ala 2019.

1

u/donglecollector 2d ago

Does stupidity have a bottom in this country?

1

u/mnstripe 2d ago

TBF, the first guy in the green hat never said he voted Trump. Only the second guy did.

By how he discusses it, green hat guy sounds like he actually did NOT vote Trump

1

u/robgrab 2d ago

Who are we kidding? They’d still vote for him.

1

u/czr84480 2d ago

I wish the reporter would tell them to just "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" like Trump says.

1

u/crandall17 2d ago

I mean come on, it isn't like anyone actively warned us about this.... /s

1

u/VelvetKnife25 2d ago

Yeah. I want him to finish his full term and complete damage and live on for another vitriolic decade. Only way Americans will learn.

1

u/Mindless-Somewhere55 2d ago

It was that Obama

1

u/Cloud_Garrett 2d ago

And just like that, all the red hats are gone.

They love it when he screwing over other people though.

1

u/RealSchlemiel 2d ago

"i voted for him and am sooo disappointed wahhhh"

1

u/SvenBubbleman 2d ago

If only tens of millions people tried to tell them.

1

u/skighs_the_limit 2d ago

They'd have to be a witch if they did

1

u/dhakkichiki 2d ago

They were busy watching "pussy grabbing" interviews even if they had still vote for him.

1

u/Old-Landscape-7538 2d ago

No soothsayer could ever have forseen this!

1

u/milelongpipe 2d ago

Or warned them this would happen….

1

u/Positive-Turnip-2866 2d ago

I rarely have a problem watching people suffer for their own stupidity, but it's when they hurt those of us who have been screaming warnings for years that I get pissed.

1

u/Socal_Cobra 2d ago

VP JD Vance: Listen here Billy Bobby Lee Jordan Allen...."used" sends the wrong message. It's "Pre-owned mature" beef. And my Memaw slated this deal because the cats and dogs were getting eaten!

1

u/Dadittude182 2d ago

He literally did the same thing to the farmers during his first term, raising tariffs against China and then spending billions to bail out the US farmers without actually doing anything to fix the problem.

I have sympathy for them because I don't want to see Americans hurt, but I don't feel truly sorry for them because they voted for him to avoid voting for a Black woman.

When we are so propagandized to vote for someone with a history of mismanagement of the very issues that are vital to our own needs, it's truly a sad state of our nation.

1

u/thalefteye 2d ago

Dude it’s all planned, I swear you guys are too blinded politically. Even if the democrats won the ultra rich want the classes underneath them to eat fake meat, fake chicken, fake vegetables and bugs for protein. They already made one machine to print this fake meat, now they are working to mass produce the machine so we lower classes can have our fake slop you see the poor eating in the dystopian movies.

1

u/porter597 1d ago

Ha ha☝️

1

u/primefart 1d ago

They'd all vote for him again.

1

u/FragrantExcitement 1d ago

The cows were spooked, I tell you. They knew.

1

u/workingforchange1 1d ago

If only they listened to those of us who did see this coming.

1

u/ExplorerNo1678 1d ago

Somebody's against lower prices for consumers and it's not me!

1

u/XxEman9r9rxX 1d ago

I mean, it's not like there was failed businesses galore to prove that he's a bad person for leading a country. It's not like a company resembles a country at all, right?

The funny part is the beef he imported is just as bad as the stuff we would get from Mexico. It's got the same worm issue that we created by defunding that mosquito border. That larvae has gotten in the beef and contaminated it. I think the most ironic part is it just got solved 20 years ago. 2020 was when we finally stopped the foot and mouth worm thing in the US.
