I am hoping to my own oil change on my 2014 RCF, Japanese import.
Just curious to see which oil would you recommend. I saw heaps of YouTube channels using Mobil 1 5W30. I am also thinking OEM Toyota oil 5W30. Do you guys think it will make a difference to engine longevity or performance?
I don’t intend to track the car and the car is driven daily.
I currently have just over 20000km on it.

Hey guys, currently looking at this exhaust, but I'm not sure js how loud it'll be? I know it's a valved exhaust, but if I do have to bring it in for testing, I'm sure they would do it with the valves open, and I'm not sure how that'll go since it'll need to be <90db @ 4k rpms. If anyone has one of these, I'd love some input.

Need some help in deciding if a Rcf with pretty high mileage is still worth it at this price point. Car has 88k miles and is listed for 38.5k. It’s a clean title and 2 owner vehicle and has service records for every 5k miles. My main concern is the mileage.

I’m looking at a 2018 Lexus RC 300 F SPORT with about 53K miles. It’s a one-owner vehicle, and the dealer is asking $31,000.

A couple of questions for the Lexus experts:

What do you think is a fair market value for this car?

Is this a Black Line Edition, or just a regular RC 300 F SPORT?

Is $31K reasonable, or should I be negotiating significantly lower?

Anything specific I should look for on a 2018 RC 300 before buying?

Looking at buying an RCF, a lot of them come with TVD, but from what I've heard, it's a good system, but if it fails, you're paying ALOT of money to have it fixed. Should I specifically search for a non-TVD system? It's already a 10 year old so I'm not sure. Any input would be appreciated.

Doing this as a follow up to my last post. I get a lot of questions about my rack set up whenever I post so I figured I would just go over the basics for anyone interested.

The rack system utilizes suction cups that I have placed on the sun roof and back glass. Yes lol I lose function of the sunroof when it’s mounted but it’s easy to take off. My exact rack is custom and i do not have a direct link for it. However if you google suction cup roof racks most options would work just as well. The pod I’m using is a Thule Motion xxl low. It mounts directly to the rack system by basically screwing in from inside the pod through the roof rack system.

I recently installed the RS-R down springs on my 18’ lexus rc 350 AWD, noticed a lot of cabin noise that sounds like a mix of vibration and clunking. the closest thing i could think of to describe it as is a flat tire.

triple checked wheel well, all bolts are tight and were torqued at full load and normal height, No signs of tire wear, brand new rubber in fact, and wheels are torqued to spec.

I was curious if I was wrong to expect these springs to be dead silent - and if anybody else has experienced NVH after installing downs or super downs.

Hey guys I had a check engine light pop up. Code read the cats being clogged. Removed the code for now and wondering

A: Should I ride my car normal and wait to see if the light comes on again.
B: preemptively replace the cats for a couple hundred to a k.
C: cut the cats and potentially add resonators

If you've done this install, how is your experience with:

Trackpad Control: Does it map smoothly or is it clunky?

Audio Quality: Any hissing/loss of sound quality?

Backup Camera: Does it pop up instantly in Reverse?

Was saving money on the AliExpress version worth it, or should I just buy Lexion? Thanks!

22 years old and been working my ass off for the last two years. 2007 ES350 hit 267000 miles and I decided it was time to make a little upgrade.

RS-R Superdown lowering springs really complete the look. I've had the car for about 3 weeks now and I'm madly in love with it. Was originally going for an IS, but I saw the RC for sale near me and decided to give it a test drive. I couldn't be happier.

So, I'm at a crossroads here. I've been eyeing the RCF for a month or so and decided I'd pull the trigger and buy a 15' model, but then I took a look at 23-24' IS500 pricing, and they're only abt 20kaud/14k usd more than the RCF. Now, I REALLY like the RCF, the way it looks, the fact it's a coupe, but in the back of my mind, rationally, the IS500 makes so much more sense; it has better tech, newer styling, less age-related wear, native CarPlay, and the fact it's a two-year-old car vs a 11-year-old one.

Yeah I dunno, it's 2am for me and I've been going back and forth for hours lmao so I decided I'd just get some external input. Would appreciate any advice.
