I'm currently at the Lakewood station. I am waiting for the 7:05 pm bus. The bus, 1647, arrived about 6:55 pm and then left around 7:05 pm bypassing the pickup area. I looked at the MARTA app and it says it's heading South as if it picked up at the station. Now I'm on the 1638 bus waiting to take off. There was no alert, the passing bus had a "Not in Service" message on the bus. I'm glad the 1638 came on time, but I would've been almost home by now and I hate that bus that there isn't a more direct way to let MARTA know what's happening on the ground. I sent a complaint on the MARTA website, I'm not holding my breath on a response but I just wanted to let them know the driver refused to pick up people waiting for the bus.

It feels like a lot of the time I’m looking at routes, mostly 11, 12, 14 because I live near 10th the busses appear to be running at like half scheduled frequency based on the live tracker with no indication in the alerts. Is it just the tracker that’s bad or are this many busses actually getting canceled?

So the question is why does it seem like the Breeze app is focused on the cash value use case. I’d guess very few use it. People that ride very often get the timed passes. Those of us (me) that ride less often but still routinely, buy in bulk to save .375 a ride. People that ride only occasionally just pay with a card. Some folks for various reasons are still using a physical card.

When I scan in through the fare gates, or on the bus, I always get a notification confusingly saying “There was no charge for this trip.” What’s happened is the trip has been subtracted from my account total as you’d expect.

I’d much rather get the remaining trip count. Perhaps I’ll type it up politely as an enhancement request.

Has anybody been able to access the old is.breezecard.com website to look up balances on old cards? I'm finally getting around to transferring balances and I can't recall which of my family's cards had trips left on them.

With the new and improved Breeze card system I'm really curious as to why we can't check our balances on our phones anymore and we have to actually go to the stations just to check and see if we have money on our card ?. To me that makes no sense because sometimes you can actually run out of money on your card but you don't know that because you can't check it yourself at home . And even if you use the​ website​​ to check anything it requires the code off your card which is now 16 digits whereas the old system was 20 digits. In other words I'm saying you can't even use the card if it has no funds on it to get to a station to replenish your account ​. Somebody didn't even think about that when they designed the new system of access/ payment . And I don't think I'm the only one who has noticed it .. not by a long shot

I was in the bus when it happened, the operator swiped a car turning off Brady avenue towards tenth street. There is club madness everywhere and they simply didn’t check their clearance well. We are presently waiting for what comes next, likely the police, but it’s safe to say I’m not making my connection home. Marta should consider bypassing Brady avenue during club nights to avoid this.

Route 12 is canceled both at 1:45pm and 2:15pm both citing mechanical issues and a lack of driver for the other. People are out here trying to get to work and now we are stranded. This is far from the first time and the frustration out here is pretty serious.

In 2020, I met a slim, light skin with locs young man named, Brian. I never caught his last name but I always told him how much he reminds me of my cousins. Turns out he might be but I haven’t seen him since. Can you help me find him. I’m not sure of his bus route or if he still works for Marta. But remember, his name is BRIAN. Tell him Yaya is asking for him!!!

I now travel to work at Georgia State University a few times a week. I usually get off at the Georgia State Station to walk up Decatur Street to Langdale. Five Points would be easier, but construction has kept me from trying it for a while. I have a hip injury, and I am legally blind, so navigating without clear routes is a challenge.

I know construction is far from complete, but is it getting any better up to Marietta Street? Is the route easy to follow?

How many individuals, not unlinked passenger trips per day/year, but individual people ride MARTA on a consistent enough basis to be considered "MARTA Patrons"? Also, this doesn't mean you ride it a few times a year for Falcons games, or Dragon*Con, etc. This is at least a few times a week for work, school, shopping, etc.

Maybe someone from MARTA reads this subreddit and can get them fixed. Every single digital sign at the Midtown station has been showing this error since at least last Sunday. It's embarrassing.

Is it just too hard for marta to provide basic passenger experiences for bus?

Update: So Marta did charge me the following day but I guess it started glitching out. Well I’m not fooling with that anymore, I got a physical card now. Starting next month I’ll use my school monthly pass anyways.

Trying to transfer my Legacy Breeze Passes onto the new system, would anyone happen to know if the World Cup Cards are still circulating in the machines before I create a virtual card for MARTA instead?
