ITS THE BEST GAME EVER

I'm coming off of playing Lance in Rise so I decided to pick it up here and I feel like it's definitely taking some getting used to. I'm not sure if I should be focusing on using Perfect Guard or Charge Counter, and I feel like most of my counter attacks miss anyway because the monster just moves out of the way before it connects. I'm also not sure how Charge Counter works exactly, from what I understand you're supposed to release it before the monster attack lands to parry it? Any advice would be appreciated.

After 100h of pure Swaxe gameplay, it feels good to go back to the flippy floppy IG, fast and satisfactory, I love this weapon (still in love with the swag axe tho).

I'm not asking this as a gag post or as a call out, I am legit curious what people think. I've seen a lot of sentiment of modern Monster Hunter games of them "revealing too much" with the trailers, and that they don't want to be spoiled on anything before the game releases. I even remember people saying, once the Ascendance trailer dropped, that they didn't want to see anything else on the game and go in completely blind and unspoiled. I'm just curious, how do YOU, yes YOU, the person reading this, feel about the trailers? Do you want to go in 100% blind, do you want the trailers to show off almost all returning monsters, or do you want something in the middle.

Me personally, I'm a weirdo who LOVES the trailers, I want to know so much before getting into it because it not only helps me gauge whether or not I'm going to enjoy the game, but not knowing is personally infuriating to me (the 3-4 month drought of news of base game wilds from October to January was enough to push me to the mh leaks subreddit just to ease my antsyness). Just to make it clear though, I am not making this post from a biased point of view, I am just genuinely curious what other people think currently

Idk if my GS Build is just unoptimized or if i play kind of bad, but his dmg feels way too high. But i haven't played HBG before.

Alright guys, summer break is over, time to come back to this subreddit with my copium reserves fully restored.

Let me see if I've got this straight. During the Capcom Showcase on September 16, they'll finally show Ascendance again, and specifically announce the return of an Elder Dragon whose hunt will be playable in a demo available at TGS. As usual, the demo will apparently feature three hunts: a beginner hunt against Chatacabra, an intermediate hunt against a new monster, and an advanced hunt against the aforementioned Elder Dragon.

So, here are my predictions, mostly based on what they did with Iceborne. The Chatacabra will probably just be the standard one we already know. I don't think it'll be a variant or anything like that—Iceborne had Great Jagras in the same slot. The new monster will obviously be the Flying Wyvern we saw at Summer Game Fest. SO MAYBE WE'LL FINALLY GET A PROPER PACK HUNT, WITH ACTUAL UNIQUE PATTERNS AND MOVESETS. And the Elder Dragon will be—MAXIMUM COPIUM—Namielle. That would also give them the perfect marketing opportunity to show off the visuals by having its presence change the weather and environment of the Scarlet Forest.

There's one thing I haven't figured out, though: when are they going to start releasing those short showcases for each weapon's Boost Bracer? Because I'm almost convinced they're starting tomorrow, September 2. September 2 through September 15 is exactly 14 days... 14 days for 14 weapons. And then on the 16th, we go into the Capcom Showcase fully hyped up.

At this point, maybe—MAYBE!!!—we can finally breathe a sigh of relief and assume Ascendance is coming out sometime between February and March. The playable TGS demo will almost certainly turn into a public beta within a few weeks, a month at most, just like they did with Iceborne and base Wilds. From a marketing perspective, it wouldn't make much sense to let everyone play a beta in October and then wait until late spring to actually release the game.

I’m trying to learn the charge blade but whenever I pull off a double rend, it sends me backwards just far enough to miss every swing in my SAED except the last. Is there a way to animation cancel the end or something so I can stay up and forwards in the monsters face? Especially since the double rend often knocks them back

Needed just attack boost 2 for my build. Figured with self -improvement armor charm for 10 star quests. Trying to do GOG with 4 AI players and was grinding for my GOD roll fire weapon. Have the drsgon greaysword GOD roll already. Still need like say 25 more 10 star tickets for the GOG stuff and maybe 40 more 10 star tickets for melding the artisian stuff. Should mess around with some crown stuff get a few crowns ok a weekend or something in between. Did Savage Omega with only title update 3 gear but the charm was kinda weak at the time. For an attack boost 2 charm still looking for maybe WEX or something but seems kinda decent.

So here’s the thing, I love spoilers. I’m one of those people who will consume every piece of media and discussion over a new game/ expansion that I’m looking forward to and have never just avoided it for the hype to be surprised. Have any of you guys done that? And was it worth it?

Please, does anyone's got a small Uth Duna, a small Guardian Rathalos or a small Yan Kut-ku? I've spent HOURS reseting the map (Got the Barina and Xu Wu this way, still took me like 5h of resets) and my patience is running low... I just wanna finish this man...

Alright, first we must put on our Dragonite foil hats as we currently have nothing but our own speculations. I know people have brought up the Ascendance color scheme and related that to magnetism before, but with the recent TGS demo being confirmed to have a (Returning Elder Dragon) I’ve really been racking my brain around who this challenging returning elder could be.

I know it sounds like a long shot to immediately call it out as being Rukodiora, but the more I think of it, the less any other elder makes sense to me.

I don’t feel like we’ll be seeing Kushala or Lao as they’ve already been confirmed in the trailer, and I don’t think they’d leave it till the day before the TGS demo to reveal who it will be if we already know they’re there.

I don’t think it’ll be any new Gen 5 elders either, as having any of them be the “challenging quest” for this brand new expansion just feels kind of weird? I don’t know.

The next MOST likely I could see would be Shagaru Magala as Wilds has basically been a soft MH4 part 2, and I could definitely see Shaggy popping in to be a good challenger (9 star gore is still pretty scary on his own)

I could also see it being Valstrax maybe, but anyway let me know what you guys think about the (Returning Elder Dragon)

I was going to go further in depth why I don’t think it could be Teostra/Lunastra/Chameleos, but I think I’d end up making an essay, and I’ll leave some discussion for the rest of you.

Since the showcase is gonna show new armours im curious to see what will be there, i think all the new mr apex armours will be shown along with 1 or 2 elders and some new and returning monsters, personally hope either gammoth or seltas queen but we have to see additionally maybe namielle since the armour and gear is dope as shit.
