I posted yesterday and overwhelmingly the feedback was that my brows need done. They’ve been shaped and thinned. What do you think now?

I haven’t been the most confident in my current makeup looks and today my coworker said my makeup today was “scary”, not sure what that means. I have on concealer, blush, mascara, and eyebrow tint. Is there a way I can do my makeup that compliments my hair and eyes and not make me look scary? What looks should I be going for? Thank you!

Thank you for the amazing and thorough advice everyone, I’m defo looking into perhaps a different color for my hair (I just recently toned it so I don’t want to change it yet) as well as my makeup placement. Ik my contour looks a bit muddy and doesn’t tend to stay even with setting spray and my aegyo-sal also applies unevenly more often than not. Hoping for some tips to help with these too. TIA!

Usually I only wear mascara and lipstic :/ I feel like heavier makeup doesn’t really suit me. What do you think? :)

Ok, so I have just seen this happen more and more as I've aged post pandemic (F34 now), but my face has gotten increasingly unsymmetrical. In the mirror, my brows (which are currently filled using ELF micro-fine brow pencil every day since I have barely any brow) look fine, but photos look insane. I've not been able to do eyeliner because of my eye shapes changing so differently, and I have to overdraw my lips to make them look symmetrical. My eye bags are getting to the point that I can't cover them at all.

I'm genuinely at a loss on what to do anymore. Makeup used to be so simple for me, but it's just getting almost impossible. Please help?!

And should I switch to cool tones? For some reason AI told me cool tones would suit me better, but I’m not sure.

However, im back again to see what I might need to improve on. AS WELL AS help with the eyeshadow crustiness.

So far I have :
Switched eyeshadow primers/setting sprays
Checked to make sure my eyeshadow was not expired
Used a hydrating concealer in place of a primer
& MOISTURIZED BEFORE STARTING MY MAKEUP**

I never really did makeup before but i really want to try. I want to emphasize my eyes more but unsure what to do and which colours to use. Usually i use brown mascara, brown eyeliner on my upper lash line, some light eyeshadow and top it off with bronze eyeshadow stick. Many people told me i should use more than that and i agree (i just don't what to use and how)

I’ve been so into muted glossy makeup lately. That elegant, not extra look just hits.
Muted makeup can look dull real fast if the glow is off, so the gloss part actually matters a lot.
I’m picky about lip shine. I tried a bunch of glossy lips and could not find that exact muted vibe I wanted. Most of them went too bright, pulled cool pink, or the shine just disappeared.
The one I landed on is Peripera Mood Glowy Tint in the muted line. This one’s the winner so far.
The shine lasts over 2 hours as long as I don’t eat or mess with it.
I got 13 Mood Queen first and liked it so much I also grabbed the muted pink 12 Campus Queen.

I'm looking to replace some makeup brushes. I have the following brushes now (purchased roughly 15 years ago):

Sigma E25

Sigma E40

Sigma E15

Sigma E45

Sigma F40

Sigma P80

Sigma F05

Big fluffy brush good for translucent powder (brand/model unknown)

Sephora smudge brush 11

I've been super happy with the quality and durability of these brushes. I'm mostly looking for replacements for the eyeshadow brushes from sigma, but am considering replacing the others as well depending on the price.

Anyways, like I said, my brushes were purchased quite a long time ago and if memory serves, when I bought the Sigma brushes the price/quality felt like a much better deal compared to big brands like MAC than they do now.

I was wondering if anyone has brand recs for similar deals nowadays? I read that Real Techniques has good brushes that blend eye shadow well but for a much more reasonable price. I haven't used their brushes myself, though.

What can I do to stop this?

I have dry skin but big pores and forehead wrinkles and eyes when my Botox starts wearing off. So matte looks make me look like the crypt keeper but glowy emphasizes every pore, acne icepick scar, and wrinkle.

I'm already on Tretinoin, azelaic acid, Microneedle every month, spf, laser once or twice a year, Botox every 3-5 months. Safe to say this is as good as it's gonna get.

Products/routines in particular are appreciated (IE your skin prep, plus base products including primer foundation concealer powder etc).

I have olive undertone but I'm fair to medium (in the summer). Because of my skin tone I don't really read as fair, but when colour matching I am definitely on the light side.

Most contours look warm and too orange on me, more like a bronzer. Then some are so cool toned it looks grey and kind of muddy. I love a no-makeup makeup look so it's a struggle.

*Does anyone have recommendations for a neutral tone contour?* I prefer powder but open to suggestions for the right colour.

I used to love a Kevin Aucoin one but I forget the name and can't find it anymore, as well as the shade Puppy by Sephora eyeshadow but they stopped making it 😩

My boyfriend hasn't proposed yet so I'm jumping the gun here but we've been talking about marriage more often lately and my first thought was "I can't look like how I look everyday. " ive tried to watch YouTube videos for some tips but i feel like I'm doing it wrong, or my face isnt made for it. I typically just do winged eyeliner and fill in my eyebrows. Any help is greatly appreciated:)
