Tengo muchísima ropa que necesito retirar del armario, en buen estado, pero Vinted acaba siendo esperar meses y perder tiempo midiendo, contestando mensajes, para que te regateen y tener que comprar bolsas o cajas igualmente para el envío. Por eso me preguntaba si hay alguna manera de vender ya sea en Málaga capital o provincia, en algún rastro o algo, que no suponga tener una licencia o algo así.

Hay un código o algo, una manera de hablar, un tipo de ropa que ponerse , unas preguntas que hacer para que no intenten todo el rato joderte por aqui? Tengo que preguntar por adelantado el precio de todo, también a categorías de profesionales que suelen ser (por lo menos en otros sitios) honestos?

Llevo unos meses en Axarquia, he vivido en muchos países y en muchas zonas y aparte en India y Marruecos nunca me había sentido como que todos los negocios intentaran aprovecharse costantemente del cliente como aqui... Soy extranjero pero no tengo acento en Español y nadie suele darse cuenta que soy guiri hasta que conteste con un NIE cuando me piden el de DNI.

1. Búsqueda de piso: *todas* las agencias locales pidiendo el mes de comisión en efectivo a pesar que sea ilegal pedírselo a los inquilinos. Y al decírselo te contestan "weno lo hacen todos".

Siento decirlo pero los único que fueron honestos con el tema de inmobiliaria fueron agencias de extranjeros.

1. El casero quiere el pago en efectivo para evitarse los impuestos y "pues si tenéis que empadronaros vale 🙄🙄, pero si os preguntan algo, no os estoy cobrando alquiler, y mi hijo también vive ahí, vale?"

2. El mecánico pidiendome casi 300€ para el mantenimiento de un Renault del 2011. Nada más cambió los filtros y el aceite.

3. Ah ya que hablamos del coche. El tío que me lo vendió como "muy bien cuidado, como nuevo"... Pues miles de problemas (esto es normal en toda España, pero suma)

4. Entre los problemas del coche, la llave hecha polvo, y el llavero para un duplicado (llave trasponder sin mando) me chupa 180€

5. Los abogados para un papeleo simple todos pidiendo entre 400 y 600 euros diciéndonos que son trámites muy complicados y si no contratamos con ellos pues nos iban rechazan. El trámite era literalmente subir 3 PDFs y nos aprobaron en 2 días.

6. El pu*o veterinario hoy nos chupó 200€ para una ecografía abdominal de rutina al perro, que en España suelen ser entre 40 y 100 EUR.

7. Análisis clínico: accedo al portal paciente y me miro los resultados yo mismo, le digo al médico por WhatsApp que ya los he vistos y està todo bien, me insiste para que hagamos una llamada para comentarme algo (yo acojonandome) La llamada? 5 minutos solo para decirme que: "efectivamente todo bien, oye te va a llegar un código de la aseguradora, para confirmar que está fue una consulta vale?" (Esto me da igual, que se jodan las aseguradoras, pero la forma mentis siempre esa parece ser)

Hay muchos más que me estoy olvidando pero eso fueron los últimos 2 meses. Y por eso vuelvo a la pregunta del principio del post. Hay manera de hablar o comunicarse que no resulte que en vez de una persona vean un cajero con pies? Tampoco voy con ropas pijas ni na (el contrario). No sé

Edit: algo en común que tenían el mecánico, el veterinario y el tío que me vendió el coche eran las pulserita con los colores de la bandera, nunca me han gustado pero parece que al menos como alarma pueda que funcionen

¿Sabíais que en Ciudad Jardín se esconde una de las mayores obras de ingeniería hidráulica de la Europa del Siglo XVIII? Aunque en términos de volumen total no compite con los grandes canales del norte o centro de Europa, destaca por su complejidad topográfica, su valor estético clasicista y su excepcional estado de conservación en tramos rurales, que superan los dos siglos de historia.

A small but heartfelt tip for runners/visitors to Málaga and the surrounding area:

If you’re walking, please keep to the right whenever possible.

If you’re running, always keep to the right.

If you’re running on a lane intended exclusively for bicycles, scooters or skaters, keeping to the right is even more important. In that situation, you effectively become another bicycle, scooter or skater, and faster users must be able to overtake you safely.

I understand that in your country you may have been taught to stay on the left so you can see oncoming traffic. But I promise you: here we do it the southern way—keep right.

And please remember: walking on lanes clearly marked exclusively for bicycles, scooters or skaters is prohibido. So if you’ve decided to run there anyway, congratulations—you’re now a bicycle. 🚲 Please behave like one.

Whenever I run from Málaga to Fuengirola in winter, it’s an absolute pleasure. In summer, however, I regularly meet visitors who seem convinced that even while walking somewhere pedestrians aren’t supposed to be, they should still follow the customs of their own distant wildernesses—Berlin, London or, heaven help us, Miami. 😁

Of course, anyone with a disability or limited mobility may need additional space and consideration. The same patience applies to people handling a pet or working and carrying heavy boxes. Everyone else: please keep right. It isn’t quantum physics.

Respect the customs of the place you’ve chosen to visit, remain aware of the people around you and allow faster users to pass safely.

One final thing: Málaga has plenty of rubbish bins. Please, for the love of everything, use them.

Keep right, use the bins and enjoy Málaga. It’s safer and much more pleasant for everyone. 😊

A question for people in Málaga, because I’m not sure whether this is a cultural thing or just something that varies from family to family. My wife is Spanish and I am fine with the concept of shared plates and tapas. What I find more unusual, though, is when the same fork that has just been in someone’s mouth is then put into shared things like mayonnaise, sauces, dips, dressings or other things that everyone is taking from. I’ve also seen someone drink directly from a large 2-litre bottle and then use that same bottle to refill a jug that everyone else is drinking from. I’m British and, honestly, I’m not really used to that. For things like sauces, condiments, liquids or anything that everyone is serving themselves from, I’d normally expect there to be a serving spoon, separate utensil, or for it to be poured out rather than putting your own used cutlery directly into it. I’m increasingly thinking it might just be something specific to my wife’s family, because I’ve never really noticed this kind of thing with other Spanish friends. Is this fairly normal at family meals in Málaga? Particularly with things like sauces, mayonnaise, dips and drinks? Or would most people here also avoid putting a fork that has already been in their mouth back into something everyone is sharing? I’m genuinely curious, because I’m trying to work out whether there’s a cultural difference here or whether it just depends a lot on the family.

I was in Malaga from 18th-21st of August and today is the 30th of August.
I logged into my Revolut to move some money around and saw that Renfe has tried to charge me on the 26th, 27th and 29th of August at 4am. Thankfully, my Revolut has automatically declined them every time!
The first charge on the 26th was for 0.01€ and the following two charges on the 27th and 29th were both €3.60.

We only caught the train a handful of times while in Malaga:
On the 18th of August, when we got the train from the airport (Malaga-Aeropuerto) to Malaga Centro Alameda - admittedly, a crowd of us were waved through the gates by security and I didn’t know you had to touch off. Rookie mistake 😅 That charge had updated the following day though to reflect the full fare price.
On the 20th of August - When we got the train from Malaga Centro Alameda to Fuengirola, which I touched on and off both times
On the 21st of August when we got an uber back to Malaga for an event and then caught the train home again from Malaga Centro Alameda to Fuengirola, again touching on and off both times.

All 3 charges had already been made and completed from my Revolut account at the time I was still in Spain (was there until the 23rd of August)

The 0.01 charge makes me suspicious as that is the charge that usually happens after you touch on as a place holder on the account before it updates the fare when you touch off. Obviously, I’m not in Spain and haven’t been since the 23rd of August so this is incredibly suspicious.

Has this happened to anyone / any advice? 😅

UPDATE: I think there’s a bit of confusion here. Not sure if it’s due to how I explained this. ALL 3 train trip fares have already come out of my account PRIOR to these charges. So in total, I’ve paid for 3 trips (which I took) and now they’re trying to charge me an extra 3.60, I don’t think that’s fair? I’m not sure why people are suggesting that I pay for trips I haven’t actually taken?
I would never not intentionally pay for a ticket / trip which is why I posted on here. People calling me a scammer and a sewer rat and suggesting that I’m trying to get out of debt are just wrong. Why the hell would I post on here and expose myself if that was my intention? So rude.

Hola!! Vivo en Málaga y estuve discutiendo con mi padre que dice que hay locales de ropa alternativa en Málaga, mientras yo digo que no hay.

Yo cada vez que viajo a otro país o incluso otra provincia de España me vuelvo loco buscando lugares que vendan merch de bandas, ropa gótica/alternativa en general, y accesorios alt; porque en Málaga no encuentro.

Así que si alguien me pudiera decir dónde encontrar lugares de ropa alternativa por allí lo agradecería mucho! Sería genial poder comprar en un lugar cerca de mi casa :)

Estaba sentado con mi pareja en el paseo marítimo del Muelle Uno viendo las vistas. De repente, llega una familia y se nos pega totalmente encima, invadiendo por completo nuestro espacio hasta el punto de hacernos sentir tan incómodos que nos hemos tenido que levantar. Por si fuera poco, el padre y el hijo empezaron a descojonarse en nuestra cara.

Al rato, de la rabia, me he encarado con ellos para pedirles explicaciones de qué coño les hacía gracia. La madre empezó a hacerse la tonta como si no entendiera español (cuando un segundo antes lo hablaba perfectamente). La gente de alrededor al ver el número empezó a preguntar y me acabó dando la razón a mí. Si alguien grabó la escena, agradecería que me la pasara.

Para colmo, a los pocos minutos, caminando por una calle anchísima, unas italianas se me vuelven a cruzar sobándome y pegadas a mí. Ya viniendo rebotado de lo anterior, me ha salido la frustración acumulada y le he dicho de la forma más malagueña posible que se desplazasen.

Hi, I’m a white European on my first solo trip. I came to Malaga and absolutely love it here, first day so far. I notice lots of Europeans who seemingly live here, who aren’t Spanish.
I feel like most people I approach are a little standoffish or judgemental due to my lack of Spanish language. Is this due to so many Europeans moving here to live, and not learning the language? I can understand how that would annoy the natives here.
I’m less than 25, and wondering am I better spending my evenings in torremelinos/fungeirola just because it is designed to cater for tourists? Or am I just nervous on my first trip alone and assuming things?
