EXPERIENCE USPS
Anybody else having a wild ride and whiplash from usps packages? This last week I have had multiple orders be sent between regional hubs backtracking half way around the country as well...and my recent packages are taking 5-6+ days past original estimated delivery dates and standard times I know from experience now.

I had one go into the black hole that's called the Greensboro North Carolina distribution center. Apparently, this is their thing.

I’m in NC and my packages always go through that distribution center first. Rarely stays there for more than a day. Sometimes the sorting facility is slow though.

I'm just going by the reviews I've read. When I Googled them in hopes of getting a number to call, the ratings are really low and a lot of missing mail complaints. There's even a little banner saying that "this location is known for losing packages." Not exact wording, but I thought that was interesting.

They had a fire at one of the facilities a month or so ago and were having to reroute mail and a lot of my stuff didn’t have updates or departure scans (but did arrive, got scanned at destination), but recently it’s been pretty good again. Just saying it hasn’t been my experience that it’s a black hole lol. Knock on wood though.

This is my local distribution center. It’s been horribleeeee lately. I’ve had more issues with delayed packages in the past 2-3 months than the rest of my entire life.

Yeah I had a buyer ping me that his package was delayed and USPS has no idea where it is

Mine has been all over had one in the city it was supposed to go in Arizona and it wound up in Detroit before going back to Arizona! And almost everything I shipped last 2 weeks has been doing crazy things like that!

I had one last week that I dropped off on Sunday was tracking normal until Tuesday when the tracking changed to USPS is awaiting the item. Thankfully after a couple days of the tracking saying that it switched to out for delivery.

I sent a package out July 20th. No tracking update since August 10th. Package went around the entire country. Now Mercari is giving me a difficult time with reimbursement.

Yeah I gave someone 5 stars even though it took two weeks cause I know the struggle is real rn with USPS

Yesssss and as a seller I feel bad for the buyer because now it’s taking 2 weeks to get there item even though it should be taking at most 1 week.

Don’t feel too bad. I see so many buyers who rate sellers poorly when the postal service delays delivery. I hope this doesn’t happen to you!

Happening to me now. 6 envelopes out, not a single tracking update on them. Thankfully all under $5 cards. Still tho SMH. Had to put my shop on vacation mode until they get updated or delivered.

i made the mistake of sending like 20 together,,, the ones i sent a few days later all got their origin scan. fortunately most my buyers are understanding and rated so i could get paid

Not Mercari but I had an eBay order that took over two weeks to get here. Got right to my city then suddenly it’s across the state. Then it’s in Illinois. Then Minnesota. I usually give the USPS a lot of grace, but good gravy lol. At least it didn’t get lost.

Yes! I’m waiting to get a bad review because of it but it’s out of my control. I ship next day and packages are going 5-7 days with no scans.
