I've been wanting a trench shotgun for a while and knew I'd never have a real one. Luck smiled upon me and I ran into a fella who had one he didn't want and wanted a rifle I had that but didn't want. Little negotiation, some cash on top, and we both wound up happy. It's a 1914 manufactured receiver, I'm told the barrel is a factory correct trench gun barrel, no hack job, made in 1944. I'm looking into replacing the stock, this one has some cracks forming, I'd like to lose the recoil pad, then inlet it for a sling swivel. Now I'm on the hunt for a 1917 bayonet for it.

Hey guys recently picked this up and thought I would share it. It’s in excellent condition with matching numbers. I haven’t figured out yet what the 15 on the stock disc means so lmk if you know.

P14 aquired. Its in great shape other than what I believe is a Crack repair on the left side. But I dont care. I buy guns to shoot them.

The one thing its missing is the hand for the volley sight. Maybe ill be able to find one at some point.

My collecting has slowed down significantly due to being busy with life and other priorities, but I still wanted to make a post in somber remembrance of the start of WWII.

In the center is a gorgeous 1937 dated Wz.29 made by FB Radom along with a 1938 dated VIS35. In the foreground is a Wz.29 or Kbk.Wz.1898 muzzle cover made by Kranc & Łempicki and a 1939 dated Wz.29 “Mobilization” bayonet made by FB Radom and scabbard (in a Wz.24 frog). Also included is a box of Polish 8mm Mauser ammo (1936 dated) made for machinegun use, and an original photo of Polish prewar soldiers at rest with their bayonets “teepee’d”. In the background we have a Polish Wz.22 ammo pouch on top of an early Wz.31 canteen. Back left is a 1936 dated Polish ammo box made by SIGMA Warszawa for the Ckm.30 Browning 1917 clone, and a Wz.32 gas mask pouch.

I have recently bought a k31 Swiss rifle and the gun store gave me this ammo on top of it because they had no use for it . I have never heard anything about this round and any information would be greatly appreciated.

I saw this listed on Ebay. I passed on it for obvious reasons. When the priced dropped to $25 I thought "What the hell, why not, let's see what I can do."

Ive been getting more and more into stock repair, and I took this on to see what I could do with the skills ive worked toward. I felt bad for the stock, theyre not common, and its an original one.

The previous tinkerer in concert with the ethiopians didnt really do it any favors. Stock had a cracks that were attempted to be repaired with perhaps a little too much acraglas and wood filler of some sort. It's arrived to me with even more pieces broken off.

Took a while but I removed all the epoxy and wood filler and began puzzling it back together. It took 6 different pours totalling about 30ml of epoxy. Slightly less than the previous guy used.

The stock had been sanded so the metal plate does not sit near flush. And I think its too thin now to hold recoil, so its purely a wall hanger stock in my opinion.

Wanted to share the transformation! Let me know what you think or if you have tips or tricks for improvement.

Found this at my local Cabellas today. They just put it out on the rack today.

It has a Detroit Board of Commerce marking as well. Which is extremely cool. As it shows that this rifle at one point was used to guard factories or government buildings in Detroit Michigan during WWI.

Hi guys, I've been reading all the threads about 7mm Mauser rolling blocks and modern ammo and I guess my first question is when people say it's dangerous what are we talking about? Is the gun gonna blow up in my face or are we talking about damaged brass?

I'm 99% certain my dad was shooting this particular rifle because he has a a stack of 7x57 and this is the only rifle in his collection in that caliber. As you can see in the photos the round seats nicely with barely enough to catch your fingernail on exposed behind the rear of the case, so I don't think it's too deep in the chamber. The camera flash and zoom makes it look like it's seated deeper than it really is. The gun is in great overall condition except it is cracked on the stock on the bottom, visible in the photo.

I grabbed one of the Spanish Cetme LC parts kits from Centerfire and it just arrived yesterday. I am ecstatic with the kit as it has enough wear to look issued but the bore is flawless and the bolt assembly looks gently used. I was also hoping to get one with the 3 prong flash hider and thats exactly what I got.

Unsure how I want to move forward on the build but I at least wanted to grab a kit before they were gone. My second purchase from Centerfire and I have been pleased both times!

G98 from local GS this weekend. All matching numbers too

This is my first carcano, I paid $500. I understand that's overpriced for a carcano, but I just couldn't pass up an all-matching antique example.

No cracks, no missing parts. just dings, dents, and finish wear. But, I like a rifle with character.

What do ya'll think? Did I overpay? Or is this a win?

I had a few friends over a while ago that I introduced my Sjogren shotgun to, and fired off a few rounds with them to see how they handled it. While they said it was fun to shoot, they were not thrilled to shoot it far away from their shoulders compared to contemporary shotguns. While I am used to how this handles after some guidance from Ivan and a little practice, I see their concern. But what are others opinions with oddball actions like this?

Looks like it's a hair too short. I'm assuming it probably comes down to manufacturing tolerances (this one is a finn capture mismatch), but was there any change in the magazine design for the m91/30?

I'm pretty 1911 illiterate but I wanted to know if this is a commercial or military colt 1911 based off these markings? Does anyone have any insight?

This apears to be some form of Czechoslovakian Mauser, but in .45.

I cannot find any sort of information on it when I tried searching online.

Its really cool tho. Maybe have to try to win it.
