Anyone else apply for the Monash Sourced Internship (Summer A 2026) and get rejected without even getting an interview?

Just got my rejection email — it said my proposal responses and CV didn't meet the required standard, so I was cut at the first (written application) stage.

My resume actually has internship experience, project experience and part-time work experience on it, so I didn’t think my background was that weak, but I still didn’t get through to interview.

Wondering if it was just an unusually competitive round this year, or if it's normally hard to even get to interview stage. If anyone did get through to interviews, would you mind sharing roughly what background/prep helped? Trying to get ready for the Semester 1 2027 round. Thanks!

Actually lately i realized that i need to back to my meditation ( antidepressants) no matter what. Because I usually have depression episodes every month very strong depression like thinking about h@rming myself etc. however, i booked an appointment with GP in monash Caulfield clinic. Do u think it’s easy to provide me a prescription for antidepressants? Because when i went to my doctor she told me to see physiatrist in Clayton with private clinic which coast 400$ per 30min 💀 very expensive! And my insurance doesn’t cover it cuz its private clinic.. I need medication asap in addition i have bad thoughts like am planning to sabotage my studying…… ( am international student) and struggling to finish my assignments. Do u know if there’s someone in uni i can reach to talk about my thoughts to help me before destroying my academic life. Thanks alot.

Master of Nursing Practice students - hey all, I was wondering if anyone who has done this course can give any advice on how intensive it is and how many hours you go to class/tutorials etc per week? I'm looking at doing this course next semester and am trying to gauge how many hours I can work while studying Also any advice for the course would be awesome!!

I'm a current year 12 student who is attempting to apply for on campus accommodation in 2027. When I click on the 'apply for accommodation in 2027' link in the resident portal, I get redirected back to the home page and get hit with "You were redirected here because you do not have access to the appropriate page", What can I do to fix this, I understand that if I don't get my application in soon, all the places will likely be filled.

I have a test tomorrow and caught the flu on Sunday. I submitted a special consideration form this morning with a med cert but was quite out of it and stuffed up the dates and added another assignment which I don’t really need it for. I submitted another one tonight after realising. Will this work? I’ve never done this for a test so I don’t really know how it works.

Hi! I’m an international student starting undergrad at Monash Australia this November. Anyone else in the same intake?

I'm an international student so I don't know if I should enrol and pay for this unit when it's like 3-weeks long and isn't even a proper internship.

Did anyone do it and was it a valuable experience?

I literally apply for more than 100 places from casual, internships to club committees and all of them rejected me. Even some casual jobs that require no experience still rejected me. Im a local btw and havent have experience since 2022 even though I already try applying to alot of places. Everyone around me seem to have a job and I literally have no retail experience or professional experience.
