Have the option to buy this for $180 will mostly be used with a ps5. Worth it?

I can only use TN panels because IPS, VA and OLED give me eye strain. I already have a 144Hz TN monitor. Would upgrading to 240Hz be worth it for gaming? I play a bit competitively sometimes, but mostly slower/chill games like DayZ and GTA 6 in the future. Does 240Hz feel not only smoother, but also more comfortable and relaxing to play on compared to 144Hz?

I've been looking for a good and affordable work/gaming monitor and came across the LG 32" UltraGear 32G600A-B. According to my research with Claude, it has good enough color science and decent gaming capabilities. I do semi-professional video editing and some color grading so I want as true colors as the budget allows while still having gaming capabilities. What monitor is recommended under $350–$400?

I'll quickly list my specs and then ramble about where i'm lost:

* Ryzen 7 5800X3D

* 3080 TI

* 32gb DDR4 RAM (3200mhz I think)

Also want to hook up a base PS5

Mainly playing World of Warcraft, Counter Strike and Escape from Tarkov on PC.

I don't do any productivity work on my PC these days. Strictly for gaming. Previously the PC and PS5 were hooked in separate places but I want to try to put them in the same spot now. I've combed this sub and elsewhere the past week but i'm still a bit confused and have a couple questions. Also I'll take any and all suggestions for a purchase.

I saw some people mention not to go OLED because it doesn't handle low frames well. Since games like GTA VI will be 30fps should I just avoid OLED altogether?

Currently I run my PC at 1440p. Should I just focus on a new 1440p monitor since going 4k for the PS5 won't 1:1 transfer down to a 1440p resolution for the PC?

Personal preference thing here but I've only ever used 27 inch monitors. Thinking about upgrading to 32 inch but what opinions are there about 32 inch, especially in competitive games?

As said before if anybody has any monitor suggestions im happy to hear them.

Do any of you guys own this monitor? It looks quite good for the price, but the VA part worries me, my experience with cheap VA monitors isn't great.

Still can't fandom how it's possible to have FALD on a monitor this cheap from a reputable brand.

I am going to get a RTX 5080 OC, ryzen 9 9950X3D, Samsung 9100 pro, 32Gb of DDR4 RAM and want to choose a high refresh rate monitor.

I have these two choices and do you think they are good and which one should i get. Money isn’t really a problem here. If you believe i should choose two different ones then let me know (please do not downgrade my refresh rate just because you think it’s too much or not needed. I don’t mind).

Heyo amigos. Have a deal whereby we can spend up to [fairly large sum] on tech stuff, including monitors. I have enough laptops, would really like a huge monitor for, well you know, work purposes. Get those Excel sheets nice and large; Powerpoint in crisp detail. You get the point. My current monitor setup is 2 x 27" Samsungs, nice enough but can get a little cramped.

Does anybody have a recommendation for a really huge monitor, preferably 40 to 50 inches, that I can hook up to USB and whatnot, which explicitly ISN'T advertised as a Gaming Monitor, SmartTV or whatever frivolous stuff, so that it passes the corporate checks?

Let me add: I don't watch TV and have no interest in all that stuff, but it seems somehow that every monitor over 42 inches or so is made into a SmartTV.

Hey guys, I’m looking to buy my first gaming monitor as for the past couple years I’ve only ever really played on TV or desktop monitors. Recently, I’ve been looking in to purchasing a dedicated gaming monitor and I’m in need of some suggestions. I’ve been researching a bunch in terms of specs and pricing, but what would you guys suggest for a 1440 p 27 inch IPS? Currently, I’m running Spider-Man, 2k26, GTA V, Need for Speed, COD BO2 and Modern Warfare, and in the near future Wolverine and GTA VI.

Got the AOC Q27G3XMN last year. Im loving it but ive recently played some darker games that have no hdr (im on console so no icc profile, renodx or nvidia app changes). Id like to try bias lightning so i could play on a dark room without risking damaging my eyesight or anything like that. Also, what would be good options? Should i get led strips or one of those bars that sit at the top of the monitor?

I recently bought the MSI MAG 272F monitor.

But I've noticed that the contrast suddenly drops while I'm working, though it never happens when gaming; it only occurs when the screen is idle or sometimes when switching tabs.

So I’ve been looking for a new monitor for a few weeks now. I mainly use the monitor to game on ps5 and also for work from home (spreadsheets, word documents etc).

I read that Oled can have bad burn in especially used for static images like a task bar, I was looking at the AOC U27G4XM, I understand that ps5 cannot output beyond 120hz.

Is there any recommendations within the price point of around $500 AUD.

Would love to hear anyone’s thoughts. I have watched reviews on mini-LED, they are mostly positive, however, they mention blooming/haloing as an issue and I play games with dark scenes such as RES, GTA, red dead etc as well as sports games.

I am upgrading from a 2018 Samsung JG50 32-inch monitor, but now looking to fill my workspace better to allow me to multitask. I would be using the monitor for uni work and gaming primarily; I play strategy games, world-builder games, RTS and RPG games.

I am looking at getting either the Legion 44.5" R45w-30, which I can get for £529 or the Samsung 49" Odyssey G91F, which I can get for £647.

Busted up my old one after a year of abuse. It was a cheap Asus monitor from Best Buy and I after a while I just wanted to see how much of a reckless beating it could take. Don't ask why.

I need suggestions for a new monitor. I have somewhat limited physical space to work with but I don't want to compromise resolution if I can (last one was ~12.5x21 in and it fit decently in the shelf space I use for a desk).

I'd prefer something a bit less flimsy, and around the $120-$160 range to deter me from beating it. I'm not knowledgeable on what brands are of high quality, as I've only ever dealt with Dell and Asus previously.

So I bought this monitor a couple of years ago on Newegg and now I'm looking to get a second monitor of the same brand and model but I just can't find any info about it.

I am looking for a new monitor to upgrade. I am stuck between the dilemma of either going for the WOLED in 1440p (ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQDMG Gen 2) or the IPS monitor in 4K (LG UltraGear 27G810A-B 27).

They are both 27 inch and I will be using it mainly with my Xbox series X along side some pc work. Please let me know what you’d recommend!

I'm looking for advice and would appreciate it if you could share your own experiences—or those of anyone who knows about this.

I want to buy the "Xiaomi Mini LED Gaming Monitor G Pro 27Qi 2026," but I'm not sure if it's worth it or if it will last a long time. By "last a long time" I specifically mean reliability concerns typical of Mini-LED panels — I'm worried about whether the backlight zones could start developing banding/streaking (horizontal or vertical lines) or whether dead/black pixels could appear after just a few months of use, rather than it lasting for years. I know this version has problems with HDR, but that's fine with me. The most important thing for me is that it lasts a long time without such defects and gives pleasure to use. I'm not sure if it makes sense to overpay for it when I can get the Odyssey G5 2025—2K/Black/IPS/180Hz—for $258, while the Xiaomi costs $360. What really appeals to me about the Xiaomi is the Mini-LED technology and its ability to produce deep blacks, but is it worth it?

My TV which I used to play my PS5 broke. Now I'm thinking of getting a monitor as I'm in a university dorm now and TVs take up a lot of space, plus in a couple years I'll invest in a PC and use whatever monitor I get now for the PC later so I don't mind getting something that's overspecced for the playstation when I should be able to make the most out of whatever I buy down the line anyways.

I definitely want 4k and 120Hz+, and I'm thinking I want a mini led too since Oled is a bit out of my price range and I definitely want some nice punchy contrast and dark blacks because I'll also use it to watch movies and anime too.

With all that said these are the 3 I'm currently leaning towards, which one do you guys think is the best? And if you have any other recommendations then I'd be down to check those out too! My budget is under £400 currently.
