Success Stories A couple of wins to celebrate…
I started my journey just over a year ago after previously trying Ozempic and continually being sick. Awhile back I posted about being stalled just above 200 lbs and then eventually celebrating getting under that.
I have a few more wins I want to share with you all:
I just bought a whole bunch of new swimwear. Everything that I owned previously was too big and I need some for a vacation coming in a few months. Now, when did I discover that everything else was too big? Did I try it on before a weekend getaway with my family? Sure didn’t! Nope, I tried it on the morning of our visit to a waterpark and then spent 8 hours desperately holding it on while I braved the waterslides.
This led me to - full revamp of upcoming vacation wardrobe. I pulled out everything I was thinking I would take (you know, right when I said I was super organized for future trip…) all too big. Queue a small splurge on clothes that I feel good in.
My weight loss and renewed efforts on building muscle resulted in me participating in an activity with my family that, pre-journey, was impossible. A ropes course was firmly out of the question and guess who did it this past weekend? Me. Every muscle hurts and I’m taking that as a win.
I knew the numbers on the scale dropped and I looked smaller. But I didn’t realize that looking smaller was the result of dropping over 8 inches on my thighs, 6 from my stomach and more.
For whomever is reading this, I hope that you find success on your journey. When it gets challenging and you feel like stopping, try to find a path forward. You can do it.
