Small, cool detail at Coach Creation.

I just started a new build and couldn’t figure out why my coach had different options available to them for gear, specifically shoes. It depends on the school. I created an SJSU coach and only had a few options. Created a coach at Nevada and they had the Adidas stuff available. Now, a fully functioning set of tackles would be cool but this is a neat little detail. Can’t go rocking the gear of another company!

Team selection struggle

Unfortunately my dynasty file got corrupted and I lost my Bowling Green year 4 dynasty and now I have to start over. I love doing small school rebuilds with 0 stars or 1 star schools but I’m struggling to find a team to rebuild. I’m looking for a small school that has decent uniform options and somewhat good pipelines. I’d love to hear your thoughts on a 0 or 1 star school to choose, I am kinda leaning towards Nevada pipeline wise but the uniforms are somewhat bland so idk yet.Let me hear your suggestions!

Questions Is the rubber banding worse this year?

I’m in yesr 3 of a dynasty with a 99 overall team yet against 74 overall NC State my QB is somehow getting sacked 9 times. My OL all have high awareness ratings but that doesn’t seem to matter as they refuse to block, oh and when they do the game throws out a holding penalty.

My defense is also letting up 400+ yards a game despite running 4-2-5 man press. Even when I get into the game everything feels clunky, 96 speed receivers with 90 release are struggling to get off the line and lack speed against 85 overall dbs etc.

If I’ve built a 3TD lead or more suddenly the cpu turns into Brady and the Patriots as suddenly my team can’t do anything. I know rubber banding has long been an issue in this franchise in general, but it feels more egregious this year.

Local multiplayer won’t let me pick plays (Xbox)

For some reason every time I play local multiplayer on CFB 27 it doesn’t let me (the first player) pick a play on offense or defense. It just sends me to the player substitution screen and then doesn’t let me do anything. How do I fix this?

Dynasty Looking to start a new dynasty

I started my Clemson dynasty and ran for 6 years then took a total rebuild job at JmU but I’m losing interest.

Thinking of starting fresh with a rebuild. Not necessarily the hardest one but would love one that has a young player or two that’s fun to play with but limited NIL funds etc.

Any thoughts?

Dynasty (PC Version) My Dynasty

I was wondering if anyone had any cool conference alignments they are running on the PC Version of the game since MyDynasty allows you to change the names, logos, colors all that stuff. Looking for some inspiration before starting mine.

Thinking of bringing back the Big East, maybe making the CUSA into the SWC but truly don't know where i want to take it.

Please share if you got any cool alignments!

The Ratings Matter Slider Project - V3.0 (fixed)

There was a typo in the last post. And for some the image isn't posting unless I double it up so if both show up, they are the same.

No AI was used in the making of this set.

V3.0 is out

Please read before using the sliders.

This Set is intended for users that play in a "Sim" manner. If you are exploiting the CPU with money plays or some of their known issues, obviously you won't get great results.

Post box scores to backup any complaints, the gameplay varies heavily with this game. A weird, bad quarter can happen. But over the course of a game(s) things should feel good.

Sliders are also heavily dependent on the user and their playstyle. If Running is too easy, lower run blocking. QBs getting sacked too often, raise Pass blocking etc.

These are the values that are working for me, adjust to fit your game.

Below are some explanations for the values and how they help reach the goals of the set, and some answers to common questions.

The Passing Game

I want to see 60-70% completion rates for "good" passers, 70-75% occasionally from great passers, and down into the 50%s for poor passers.

This has been accomplished by the following slider changes:

A lower QB Accuracy slider allows for a few more miss thrown balls, even by the more accurate passers.

The Pass blocking has been increased to reward higher rated Offensive lines. Bad lines still get beat often by better defenders, but teams with good lines can actually give their QBs some extra time. Games where each side has 5+ sacks are more rare, but can still happen. 1-3 is much more common.

WR Catching has been slightly decreased, a previous patch actually made this less necessary, but the goal is to have a few drops, and to help defenders break up some more passes than the default gameplay.

Pass coverage is still varied, defenders will fight to break up balls, the cpu is given a small handicap here because they take a little more time to process things.

DPI has been increased slightly so that it can be called more often, but not too high to take away the defenders ability to fight for the ball

The Run Game

While it is a massive improvement over last year's gameplay, the run game on default is still a little too easy for the User to win on offense and defense.

A more balanced run game is achieved through the following changes:

I reworked the Run Game with 2.0 to try and give a more realistic experience for both the User and CPU

For the User, Run Block has been lowered to allow the more passive cpu defense to have a greater change of making plays, to allow plays. The User run game varies greatly based on play style and the CPU defensive play calling. If you are seeing unrealistic results, you can lower this as far down as 28-30. The User also "autobreaks" significantly more tackles than the CPU, and is (in most cases) better at finding lanes and out maneuvering defenders, so the CPU Tackling slider will be much higher than the User's value.

In 1.0, the CPU was getting realistic stats in the run game, but it was doing so in an unrealistic way. Run blocking was too high, resulting in too many long runs. But, when the CPU ball carrier met a defender, the tackle was usually successful. By drastically lowering tackling we can lower CPU run blocking back down to a value that makes it so that a great front seven can hold their ground better while still allowing realistic stats by the running back based on the match up.

Explanations of Other Settings and FAQs

Speed Threshold - 40

In previous games. I raised this because Speed was too overpowered of an attribute, so raising it helped balance things out. With the changes this year, Slower players have some greater advantages vs Speed, and a raised value leads to TEs, Power Backs, and big receivers being too overpowered. Slightly lowering this helps to reward players for being fast.

Difficulty - All American

I know people want to play on Heisman to protect their fragile egos. I'd rather have realistic gameplay. This set is difficult. It's also balanced. You should have a tough time pulling off significant upsets, but when playing as a great team, you should have easier games against bad opponents. Again, if one aspect of the game is too easy, a slider adjustment can help. Heisman is not going to lead to realistic gameplay imo.

Wear and Tear
Removed because I've given up on the testing. I don't think there is a way to salvage the system to make it function how it should.

Classic Passing and Timing based Catching - OFF
I want the most Ratings based results in my gameplay so I don't want my skills to override what happens on the field. Classic Passing makes it so your players ratings control how accurately the ball is thrown. And I of course do not want WRs to make insanely unrealistic catches because I "Greened" a meter.

"Why is my QB missing wide open throws?"
Because QBs miss wide open throws in real life. If you don't want that to happen, raise the QBA, Blocking, Catching values, or just play on Freshman, just don't complain when you are winning every game by multiple TDs. I'm chasing realistic gameplay, that means the good and the bad. QB's throw incompletions roughly 40% of the time. A large percentage of those are bad throws. If anything I wish we could get more of those vs the number of drops. but it is what it is.

PC player Mod recommendations
I recommend using the CPU Game Management Overhaul mod by Deer. It can be found on the modding discord. It helps the CPU make more analytic based decisions.

Final Notes - Sim all Special Teams plays, sliders do little to nothing to help with long punts and FGs.
If importing these from main menu, double check values (DPI/BiB Penalty, Pass Coverage)

Questions Lower NIL on Recruits/Players signed to team in Dynasty?

I just finished my first season on my Dynasty, and didn't realize how much I NIL I was giving some recruits I wanted. (K-State, so a medium or better level school.)

Like I spent over 200 on a few different ones (4-stars). They are making more than any of my other players, and not even good enough to start for me for a couple of years. Also, on some 3-stars I gave close to 100 NIL to get them in the green on the offer.

I am to the next season, and don't see a way to lower any of these amounts. Even if it would cause them to transfer, I'd prefer that over a 72 rated D-Tackle making 200 NIL.

*PS, do others offer all recruits when recruiting them, or just do the points on most?
3-stars want 60/70 NIL, just for a neutral scholarship offer. Or do you drop that way down on some, and hope you can still get them?

Road To Glory Road to glory camera

Does anyone else find it incredibly irritating that you can’t use wide angle anymore. Trying to play corner after making 4 other players and it’s by far the worst considering not a single camera angle lets you see the field and your player consistently. I hate those zoomed in moving angles but the standard view you can’t even see your player sometimes. Like why is this a thing that people have to deal with, can they simply not just do a standard camera view where I can see my guy AND the field like why does it have to be one or the other.

Dynasty Recruiting Patch Part 2

When EA originally patched the recruiting issues they mentioned that it would be part 1 of a 2 part fix. Do we know if part 2 has come yet? If I remember right part 2 sounded like a much more substantial patch and I don't think we've seen that yet?

Dynasty Reduced Number of Recruits and Recruit Quality

Apologies if this has been addressed in here, I’m a dad of two little ones so don’t get a ton of time to see what’s going on in the thread anymore.

In the past couple years I think most of us agree that there were too many 1 - 2 star recruits, especially considering the clip that CPU teams (even some Power 5 teams) were willing to sign 2 star guys.

With that said, they seem to have reduced the total number of recruits, but by doing so they reduced the number of 3 and 4 star guys. More so, they seem to have reduced the number of well rated 3-4 star guys. Traditionally if I signed 4 recruits in the 450-700 3 star range, at least one of them would at least be a 70. Now, some of these guys are coming in mid-high 60s. It seems like there a much quicker quality drop off. Also, the reduction in 4 stars seems odd. I don’t think any recruiting service has less total 4 stars than what CFB 27 has.

It’s kinda disappointing because to me it makes it more unrealistic. It also overweights transfer portal importance even more. It’s not worth using you recruiting points on 20 3 stars who average let’s say 25 points each, when I could sign only 10 recruits and then just get transfer portal guys since my recruits will be rated so low. It’s also making the team ratings down the road fall off considerably.

Is anyone else seeing this and having the same experience?

TV/PS5 Settings

I recently got a new tv and the ps5 pro and have had some issues with how the game is running and I don’t know what the problem is. Game just seems delayed like there is some type of lag which I never had on 25 or 26. I use the pretty general settings for the PlayStation and use the game optimizer setting on my tv. Any advice would be appreciated.

Am I supposed to be losing 30 yards on snaps 1-3 times per game?

My QB keeps failing to catch snaps on HB mid draw especially. At least once per game he'll just not catch the snap and hop around for 1-2 seconds pretending to have the ball and I can't move him at all, so I lose 20-30 yards for a turnover every time. I saw on another thread that awareness on the C could be a factor in this, but my C has 87 awareness and my QB has 93..

Simple run side audible

Anyone having trouble getting a run side audible to work. Stopped working for me last week sometime. Usually if I see a overload to the side I am running I will move the run to the opposite side. I am not talking about flip play, the cpu always adjust to that. Just a simple weak side audible when needed.

Continued Unemployment?

Dynasty Year 1 at Cal: 5-7, HB wins the Heisman.

Year 2: 10-2, HB leads nation in rushing, lose a close one to Stanford (also 10-2), get fired for it.

I'm not upset - my brother-in-law's the one playing Stanford and this is hilarious. We'll be laughing about it forever. My question is this: What happens if I don't accept a job during the offseason? Fittingly for a world in which going 10-2 at Cal gets you the boot, the only schools interested in me are Akron, WKU, etc. If I hold out for a P4 job and come up empty, what are we looking at for next season?

Questions 27 improvements?

I’m just now getting into 26 and I haven’t moved to 27 yet but does it fix some of the dumb tedious things? My biggest complaint with the first two is that it seems like they had nobody sit down and play lots of dynasty. Why does it take so long to remove recruiting actions and why is there a pop up for every single time I manually upgrade and why does the music thing pop up and cover deal breakers?? Why can’t it automatically select the correct pitch when I know all the right ones?

Dynasty Offseason Roster - Dynasty

Has anyone found a way to get your offseason roster to accurately represent your current team? Beginning week 1 of offseason recruiting and my depth chart + roster still contains players I am 100% sure were drafted or are tranferring.

Surely the game does not expect me to memorize every players who is leaving so I can recruit transfers by actual position need?? Right???

Questions Did they fix the issue where if you’re playing offense only sim and turn the ball over at the end of the 1st half, the CPU gets the ball at the spot on the 2nd half?

I know this issue been in Madden for years unfixed.

Example (while playing offense only): 2 seconds left in the 2nd quarter, you throw a Hail Mary that gets picked off. At the start of the 3 rd quarter, the cpu has the ball at the spot they went down.

Same happened with missed FGs too ending the 1st half

Dynasty When should I offer more than the asking NIL for a recruit and by how much?

Is there a simple strategy here? I’m starting a dynasty with Georgia. I have my 35 recruits on my board i’m following. I need 22 of them. I have identified 9 that are gems.

Now I would assume the ones that are gems I should offer more to make sure to secure them if I can. But how much?

And what about the guys that are not gems but regular recruits but I would like to sign. Do I only offer them exactly what they’re asking? Or do I increase them as well?

Like it shows you that scale, which is neutral, somewhat interested I think, and then really interested or something like that. If those are the guidelines, should I push all of the gems to the point where they’re really interested and then the other guys to the point where there’s somewhat interested?

I know I need to save some points for the guys on my roster already… I believe… But I just don’t understand what the scale how much to do upfront because I know whatever you offer that’s the new baseline but I also know you’re supposed to offer more at the start to get out front if that’s your goal of landing somebody.

Any recommended suggestions on how to do this would be appreciated. Thank you.
