Support Nobara 44 GUI updates never complete....

Post image

This is where my updates seem to end. 0/1 complete but everything seems done scrolling the log file. What is it waiting for?

I hit this from time to time, just press View Queue button on the bottom right and it will dissapear. As long as the logs says "System update completed successfully" it should be fine.

Thanks, clicking that button seems to move that along and I now received the "System update completed successfully", Otherwise this is a 1 year old AMD based install that is completely stable.

Next time try updating through the terminal; it's way faster.

I have the same, no idea on how to solve it.

To top it off, i just run an update and n9w my pc keeps freezing on desktop.

I usually do "nobara-sync cli && flatpak update" in the terminal when I want to update to get them both out of the way at the same time and find it way faster.

I think this is the way. I wanted to use the GUI updater while this release was new incase there were exceptions I didn't know about.

I had the same problem, it was stuck at nvidia-gpu-firmware ecc.

I use hidamari with MP4 background. I stopped it and update continued

Hope it helps

Oh I've seen this a few times I think it's just a glitch, try hitting the refresh button besides the remembered auth checkmark, see if any more updates show up

I've had bad experiences with the GUI updater. I only use nobara-sync cli on the terminal now.

Mine too. Thats why I once I asked for a "Done!" pop-up or something and I ask again

I know that problem all too well. I used Nobara for about two years. Quite often, after major updates, my PC wouldn't boot up anymore, an absolute deal-breaker. That’s why I recently switched to Linux Mint, and I have to say, it’s been running really well so far!

I downgraded from Nobara 43 to Nobara 44 :D I told the rest of my family to stay away from downgrading their computers for now.
