I was checking out my arp and I decided to pull out the mag and put it on fire then pull the trigger and now it won’t go back to safety even with the mag in

I have been a causal pistol shooter for about 2 years and am really getting the itch for my first rifle. I think I have settled on the AR15, just due to how versatile it is. Can anyone recommend a decent one that isn't crazy expensive? I'd like to keep the base gun below $1k, preferably below $850. I'm pretty casual and it's my first rifle so not looking to go crazy with it.

I would like to use it to get into the 100-200 yard range, potentially up to 300. Not looking to be changing out a lot of parts since I wouldn't know how and am worried I'll screw it up. Hoping to buy it and only adaptions being a sight, foregrip, and potentially bipods.

I am a big Springfield fan due to my primary pistol being a Springfield, but seeing mixed reviews about their AR15 online.

I live in Michigan, in case that changed recommendations.

300 blackout

New to building. Just completed my first with a 5.56 AR. I know the next build I want but not sure its possible. I'd love to build an AR15 chambered in 300 blackout with an FRT/Super Selector. My previous build has an Atrius and I love it. But the kicker is I'd like a short barrel (so I'd keep it a pistol under current laws) and I'd like to go bufferless so I can fold the brace, keep it as compact as possible, while still being usable.

Just looking for advice or more info. Iv seen some of the bcg conversions that would allow this but almost certain they would not function with the frt/SS. Cost is also a factor. Not looking for a system that will double the price of the build. Where I am now I'm thinking ill have to give up on the bufferless and go with a law tac folding stock. What are your thoughts?

I bought this girl about a year ago second hand. I'm in Australia, the air is humid and it gets quite hot.

I didn't know that having moisture absorbers in gunsafes was a thing untill a few months ago. I've left this girl (Tikka T3, .223) for about 4 months after shooting last and didn't clean it.

Any recommendations on cleaning / fixing? Any help would be appreciated

Reading about the P320 and it going off when dropped. My first reaction was “duh, wouldn’t most guns have a chance of going off if dropped” but I guess not?

Just feels careless to drop something that should be treated with respect and care.

Are gun ranges normally pretty social places? I'm fairly new to shooting at a public range. Twice in the last month I've had someone come over to chat. Not a quick "hey whatcha shooting?" But staying to talk and literally following me to my car to keep talking long as possible. In one case it was nearly an hour of talking before i gave up and packed up to leave. Not sure how I feel about it, curious if this is normal everywhere or if my range is just has chatty people? In my mind hearing protection plus handling loaded guns isn't the situation to make friends in, but maybe I'm being antisocial and this is normal at ranges?

Hope this doesn't come across as complaining, totally cool it if it's normal, but I'm not great at reading social situations and can't decide if my range has some weird people or if I'm the weird person lol

Any good recommendations for a 9mm suppressor for the canik mete? Looking been doing a lot of window browsing as of late since I have the threaded barrel for it and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what is good and what isn’t.

Both bodyguard 2.0 and LCP max are similar weight and height. But bodyguard has about a finger width of more space on the grip.

Is it just the mags of the guns that I rented or is this common on these two? LCP Max almost felt unshootable. Grouping was horrendous like 5 inches at 7 yards over 20 shots. My worst of the day by far.

Why did my CANiK Mete MC9 misfeed on Remington Range 115g 9mm?

Was outside shooting the weapon and this misfeed happened two separate times. The magazine was hard to eject and had to be forcibly pulled out by hand. The ammo came out dent/sliced. Why? Thanks.

It is a Thompson semi-automatic carbine. 45 acp. I’m currently looking for a 30 round mag and don’t care too much about price. I did try ordering the polymer mag but that wouldn’t let my order go through, I live in TN so I don’t have any real restrictions from sites for ordering anything. I do believe it is one of the semi auto remakes as it fires from a closed bolt instead of an open one like the originals. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have already filled out all the paperwork needed. I have my stamp approval that I need on the proper paperwork. My only question is is it possible to send the gun license that you would receive in the mail to a different address or does it have to be the same address as the one that you filled out in all the paperwork I know this may seem obvious, but I’m wondering if that’s possible as the only person that truly knows I’m getting this license is my father. My mother has no idea and she hates firearms and I’d rather not have an argument with them

I want a P-10F in something other than plain black. OD Green is available for an extra $75 ish. Green frame and black slide.

But my local Cerakote guy is about same price, $75-100 to do a slide.

So the price is about equal.

I think doing the slide custom will be unique/fun but I think the factory finish will be more durable. Does anyone have any guidance?

I have shot at the range with a few different guns and have decided on a Glock 17V. I’m still a little new and look for the best brands of bullets. I know I want hollow point for home use if I (hope I don’t) ever need it and FMJ for the range.

Hello as stated above I have a taurus pt 92 afs and I was looking to get a spare magazine or two for it while looking i was also get suggested pt 99 magazine would those also fit the pt 92 i. It said they would but I thought I should ask here before I buy anything.

I’ve been itching to get a Beretta 92 and slap some raccoon Police Department grips on it, but I already have two pistols now and a real Beretta 92 is a bit more pricey than I can justify spending right now.

I just found a used Taurus PT92, in good condition, at the used gun counter at my local gun shop for $200.

Is the quality of a Taurus PT 92 sufficiently inferior to a Beretta 92 that I shouldn’t even bother? At that price point? I know it's not comparable to the 92FS, but it has a decocker, and the slide racks like butter.

I have a few pistols of varying footprint so that's not really a huge factor.

In your opinion, what is better than the Defender ST?
