Mod My opinion on pink tinted love Spoiler
So I watched the first 2 chapters of gameplay on pink tinted love and honestly I thought it was a nice mod, though I didn't expect it to be met with mixed reactions that it did. The main thing people did not like about it was that Sunny talks too much, which is fair I guess. In defence of that I'll say that it takes place a year after the truth came out, along with him going for therapy and visiting faraway once every month (according to dialogue in the mod), I'd say he would become quite used to talking a lot more than usual.
I also really like their dynamic in this mod. Aubrey quits her delinquent ways, becomes a lot kinder to everyone overall and a lot closer to the person the gang knew her to be. I also really like the trope it presents to us: two childhood sweethearts who've gone through so much pain and grief are now on the road of healing and recovery and most importantly, they're doing it together. I will say that the relationship between Kim and Basil does feel a bit forced though.
I also saw that people weren't happy with the lack of meaningful choices like what we see in the original game and that it plays out like a visual novel. To that I say, fair enough, not much to defend there. I honestly like visual novels, so long as the story is good and also thanks to games like Until Then and Haven (not sure if Haven counts as a visual novel but I've seen people refer to it as one).
Lastly, I like it simply because it is a happy ending. Each member of the group went through so much after Mari died. I think they deserve a happy ending after all that.
How do you feel about pink tinted love?
