I took a writing class and the teacher would go over a lot of poetry and would gush about Plath, but after reading a bunch of her poems, I just felt uncomfortable. I just felt like I was a voyeur into a disturbed woman's mind, I didn't find any of it particularly moving or wish to read it again. I wish it was easier for people like her to get help in that time period.

I knew many girls in college who just idolized her. All I could think was she wasn't someone to idolize.

Her poetry is pretty damn good though.
