God Told Me To Tell The World That He Doesn’t View Homosexuality Or Being Transgender A Sin (Don't Mean To Sound Insane!)

So, um, God told me to tell the world that He doesn’t view homosexuality or being transgender a sin and I kind of wanted to share His message here. I sound insane, I know but I think it’s important. You see, God expressed to me that He’s had enough of people claiming He views homosexuality or being transgender a sin and wants to put an end to it once and for all. I know. I know. I sound like a lunatic right now. He intends to speak to homophobic, transphobic, anti-LGBTQ Christians and even non-Christians. Even though I made a video containing His message on my Youtube channel in the form of a POV cinematic simulation, I decided to just write out what He said besides linking the video. This is weird, I know.

Below is His message to the world and I’ve split it into segments so it’s easier to read as it's a long message. You heard that God is all-loving, has a sense of humor, and uses harsh language to self-righteous religious people, right? Well you’ll truly get to feel that here. His message is so sweet. A lot of people I shared this message to have cried of joy and were deeply touched. And if I can request something of you all, it would be to help me spread His message in however way you choose. So, if you want to hear His message, proceed.

Thus says the LORD:

Does God View Homosexuality Or Being Transgender A Sin?

Ah, hello, my dear children! It is I, God, Allah, Yahweh, Brahma, Creator, Spinoza's God, Sky Daddy, whatever you humans call me now. Hm, what do I think about the LGBTQ community? It’s hard to say. I don’t ever remember saying that homosexuality was sinful or that it was mandatory to stay the gender you were assigned. I mean, I might have said that at some point. Honestly, I have a pretty bad memory. I don't even remember what I had for lunch today. I should really start doing crossword puzzles to help with that. Gosh, I’m getting old. Anyway, no, I don’t view homosexuality and transgender as sinful or a bad thing. Though I understand if you do.

Change is scary, is it not? You humans have made it where everyone must be straight and remain the gender they were assigned. It’s been ingrained in your society for so long that trans people must be a new concept, and that gay people are not normal. That worries you, does it not? If the LGBTQ community is accepted, then is everyone going to be that way? And if so, will humanity cease to exist? And it’s so overwhelming! You got the message that the LGBTQ community should not be harmed, and it’s not like you personally would harm them, care about who they have sex with, or be bothered by what they do with their bodies. But why must they shove it down your throats? It’s like they’re showing off their Lamborghinis in the most annoying way. You get it! It’s normal! Stop flaunting it before you lose your mind! Besides, it's not like you hate them. You just don’t agree with their lifestyle, that’s all.

And the children. What about them? We all know kids are impressionable and will copy everything they see. If an LGBTQ person is shown on TV, then doesn’t that risk them becoming one too? You don’t want your child to transition too early if they discover they’re not trans after all. Not to mention, they’re way too young to be making any life-changing decisions. So, why are people pushing it onto them? And your religion. You’re taught that I apparently said that gay people will go to hell, and now that your child has come out to you, that's devastating news! They’re going there after they die, and you don’t want that for them. It must be so terrifying for you. Yet, you’re shot down every time you express your concerns. Don’t you have a right to an opinion like the rest of them? It can feel as though no one has ever tried to understand your side of the story.

My dear child, I hear you! Your feelings are valid. Your struggle to adapt to this seemingly new way of life is also valid. However, your struggle is no excuse for your own sinful behaviour. I’m sick of you using my name to justify the harm you cause! That voice in your head that tells you to hurt the LGBTQ community, don’t listen to it. I’m saying that for your sake, not theirs. I mean, I am saying that for their sake, but still.

God’s Message To Parents Who Struggle To Accept Their LGBTQ Children

If you have a child who is LGBTQ, that must be so scary and confusing for you. It can feel as though you failed as a parent. But is that true? Your only real failure is if you don’t accept them. I would hate for you to do so and then wonder why your kids won't visit you in the future. I mean, wouldn’t you like it if your child’s eyes lit up every time they saw you? Wouldn’t you want to hear their innocent laughter? Wouldn’t you want to see their excitement when you got them the gift they wanted? Or when they made the first sale in their small business? Wouldn’t you want to see them graduate from college or high school? But more importantly, wouldn’t you want to still embrace them, see their innocent smile, and hear them say they love you? If you don’t accept them, then you’ll lose that blessed relationship you could have had with them. I don’t want that for you. I want you and your child to have a good relationship. Listen, I know you just want what’s best for them, but shunning them will push them away. Do you want to lose them?

For some of you, your child coming out as LGBTQ made you worry about the judgment of your friends, family, and other people. If that’s the case, then you have a snake in your Garden of Eden. Don’t take their forbidden fruit. They’re leading you astray. Because why was their opinion more important than your own flesh and blood? And for others, the vision you had for your child had turned to ash. I feel you on that one as that is for sure a letdown. But is that all they were to you? Just a vision and nothing more? It seems you forgot they had a beating heart. For both of you, was the fear of judgment and your lost vision enough for you to stop loving them?

Or maybe them feeling loved by you was never important. Perhaps power and control was what you preferred. If that’s the case, then just know that power and control you have over them will not last. Sure, it may last for some time, but your child will come to see what’s in your heart and free themselves from you. So, why put someone through pain if your efforts will prove futile in the end? What drives your need to hurt them? I know the shocking news of your child coming out as LGBTQ led some of you to kick them out of their home. It’s made worse if religion is part of the picture. I’ll get to you Christians in a moment, as we really need to have a talk about that. Anyway, to those who abandoned their child, I don’t have much to say to you because if your child wasn’t important, then what did you have to lose? This was the fate you chose for you and your child’s relationship. But have any of you considered that maybe, just maybe, I made them LGBTQ so you could learn to love the community? Just a thought.

God Scolding Christians

*Sigh* It seems you Christians have really lost your way. I’m going to help you understand the LGBTQ community and remind you of who you really are. First, a little bit of scolding. Now, I don’t need to be God to know that religion has hurt the LGBTQ community. And to those who participate in it, I have to say I’m quite disappointed in you. That is not what I, and my son, Jesus Christ, taught you. Though I can’t completely blame you. You’re taught that I view homosexuality and transgender a sin. So, of course, you’re going to try to save them as you don’t want them to go to hell. And it’s understandable that you would refuse to engage, as then you would be an enabler. It would be like giving alcohol to an alcoholic. And you wouldn’t want to disobey your God. For if you’re not Christian and do everything perfectly, then I, the great and all-powerful creator, will send you to hell where you’ll burn for all eternity. You all literally make me sound like that. Hey, Lucifer, come back to heaven! It turns out I was the evil one! Just kidding, he ain’t ever coming back. Why do you all make me sound like I’m this jerk who will send you to hell for not liking your face or something? Do I really come across that way? Why do you all think so lowly of me?

Anyway, while your reasons are understandable, I’m going to be honest with you. Saying, “love the sinner, hate the sin,” is meaningless if your actions don't match your words. It's okay to admit you have trouble understanding them due to what you were taught. And let's be honest, you aren't fooling anyone. Though you are fooling yourself by believing you’re just doing what’s best for them. Also, stop misusing the Bible! For when you do, it loses its validity. It’s written to teach you love, not to use it as a weapon. To those who do use it as one, go get fake blood and spill it over its pages. This is the symbolic blood of the people you hurt. Ah, but who can blame you? The Bible clearly condemns homosexuality and transgenders. But tell me, child, have you studied the Bible well?

Why Homosexuality Exists And Same-Sex Marriage

Yes, I can confirm. I originally created a man and a woman and wanted them to unite through marriage and sex. Then I instructed them to create a family and told you all to multiply, which you did. Maybe you went a little overboard with it, but still. And yes, your body is a gift I gave you, and you early humans agreed upon gender roles. This indeed was my original design for humanity. But here’s the thing. That was just the beginning of your story, and it was never meant to be a strict rule. Emphasizes on strict. In my holy opinion, I don’t think bleedshed is necessary to maintain them.

Anyway, homosexuality comes from my gift of love flourishing in them. There’s no great secret to why people are gay. My gift is the reason you can love your friends, family, partners, pets, animals, plants, objects, fictional characters, you name it. It needs to be this way if you are to take care of my creations. Was I mistaken to make love unlimited? It seems I was. I know you’ve heard that before, that homosexuality is just love, but there’s not much else to it. Yes, it was Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve, but you’re forgetting that I said marriage was also about companionship, lifelong commitment, and fidelity. All aspects same-sex couples can fulfill. When it comes to procreation, yes, sex is how I designed you humans to do it, and you're right. Same-sex couples can’t have children on their own without alternative methods. I suppose they’re “unnatural” in this way. But did I not say sex was also about unison, pleasure, and intimacy? Sex is truly a gift I gave you, as it makes couples spiritually and emotionally stronger. Same-sex couples, again, can fulfill this role, especially and ideally if they’re married.

Tell me, why have you reduced marriage to so little? Why is having children more of a priority than loving your spouse? Is procreation all there is to life? Did I not create you to take care of the earth and to fulfill a purpose in my plan? If someone is homosexual or trans, then their life's purpose needs to be fulfilled through those means. When it comes to children, you say they need a mother and a father, which, fair. That does make a lot of sense as they can provide different needs for their child. But as I’m sure you’ve heard before, as long as same-sex couples do their duty as parents, then the child will be fine. Not like parents in general fulfill their child’s every need anyway. Having said that, there are two ways I’d view same-sex couples as sinful. If either one of them is unfaithful or there’s abuse of any kind involved, then yeah, I would not approve of them being together. But of course, that’s with any relationship.

Why Trans People Exist And The Definition Of A Man And Woman

For trans people, I do see why you can’t understand them. I mean, in the beginning, I truly did create a man and a woman and designed you to overall have two distinct reproductive organs and features. So, why would they want to change this over an internal feeling? They must have a mental illness or some kind of delusion, right? I mean, come on! There are only two sexes! That’s just basic biology! You’re not wrong in saying I only created two genders. However, there's more to the story. Tell me, child, are you just your body? It seems you’ve reduced yourselves, especially the LGBTQ community, to such. Humans are more than the physical. They are their minds and spirits. That’s where you truly are. Your body is just a vessel that keeps you alive on earth. When I created you in my image, male and female, it wasn’t just your body; it was also your mind and spirit. You see, your mind is untamed. It doesn’t have to follow your rules. For you are both good and evil, switch from using your emotional mind, rational mind, to using both, can feel a wide range of emotions that mix and have different severities, and your mental health can fluctuate between healthy and a severe illness. Your mind is not binary. This is how trans people can exist and how non-binaries come to be. These male and female forces in your mind fluctuate, be in balance, or cancel each other out. You all also have masculine and feminine energy in your spirits. All these aspects of you mix together and are connected.

What defines a man or a woman, you may ask? Well, men and women are defined by their minds, bodies, spirits, and dress. One man can have the biology, identity, and dress of a male but possess feminine energy. A woman can be solely female through her biology, identity, dress, and energy. While this other woman can have the dress and identity of a female, but possesses the biology and energy of a male. In other words, your body is just one aspect of what makes you a man or woman, which is why some trans people physically transition if they’re able to do so. You’re not wrong in saying gender has to do with the body, as it’s true. Don’t forget these other parts of you.

The Bible Verses

Having said that, the Bible does kind of condemn homosexuality and transgenders. But not in a modern sense. You see, your hatred for the LGBTQ community has an origin. How ancient societies practiced homosexual behaviour was disgusting. The type of homosexual behaviour I banned was homosexual rape, pederasty, homosexual sex in regards to prostitution, lust, infidelity, and sex outside marriage in general. Due to this, they concluded homosexuality was a sin. Of course, popping out children was also more important than it is today. So, the Bible does kind of condemn homosexuality, but within the context of its time. When it comes to trans people, it doesn’t condemn them per se, it's more like I wanted the ancient Israelites to maintain gender roles in their lives and dress. Because if they didn’t, then they would be treated as the opposite gender, which meant men would have been viewed as inferior and women wouldn’t have lasted long or been taken as seriously. It was for their safety and to keep order, again, within the context of its time. In this way, transgenders were condemned because transition was a lot riskier than it is today.

Hell

To those Christians who tell the LGBTQ they're going to hell, you are very sweet to warn them of this place. You care so much about their well-being. Because hell is a very real place I can send you to if I deem it necessary. Ah, did you hear what I just said? If I deem it necessary. Remember, I'm the only one who can judge you, for I can see the entire universe with everything in it in full detail, while you can only see the horizon. Truly, what kind of loving God would send someone to hell to be tortured for all eternity? But to clear up that misunderstanding, I don’t want you to commit sins at the threat of hell, but rather sins can prevent you from living a good life. And hell is misunderstood. It’s a separation from me, where you’re all alone in darkness. The torture, your punishment, isn’t from tormentors, but rather from your longing to reach my light. You’ll burn in the fire that is my judgment. You’ll feel the exact same pain as the people you hurt, so you can finally understand. It’s only through experience that you’ll know the harm you caused and can grow. But if you still don’t have a change of heart while you're in there for a while, then I’ll destroy your soul.

An LGBTQ person could very well go to hell. Not because of their sexuality or what they identify as, but rather due to their own lack of morals. There’s a reason I said you’re all sinners is because you all sin to some degree. I’ll deal with that person; you worry about yourself. Because if you tell someone they’re going to hell, yet you live a life of sin, then you’ll be the one to not inherit my kingdom. Your race, gender, sexuality, and spiritual background mean little to me as I see you all the same. I judge what’s in your heart. You humans are the ones who created this illusion that you’re all different.

God’s Desperate Cry To Christians And What A Christian Is:

This is not who you are! I don’t want you Christians to have hate in your hearts because it’s turned a lot of you to sin. You’re supposed to love thy neighbour, not hurt thy neighbour. How is it that Wiccans, atheists, and Satanists understand this more than you? For the love of humanity, put the Bible down! Put the Bible down… You have slandered my name enough and you have broken my heart. If you want to convert people to Christianity, then you must show them what a Christian is first. And what is a Christian? A Christian believes in Jesus, but more importantly, they follow his teachings. They love their neighbours and enemies, they’re compassionate, forgiving, they repent, serve others, follow the golden rule, and give to the needy. If you spent more time doing this than taking people’s rights away, then maybe so many people wouldn’t reject the gospel. This hatred you have for the LGBTQ community and non-Christians will be your downfall. Repent!

God’s Message To Those Who Have Internalized Homophobia Or Transphobia

If you have internalized homophobia or transphobia, then my advice is to set yourself free. You know very well that the more you hate your homosexuality or trans identity, the greater your pain becomes. If you give in to their ways, you’ll find you’ll suffer for the rest of your life, because there will always be this little voice in your head that tells you this is not who you are. Release yourself from that torment. They may be happy with converting you, but I won’t be, as I know you’re lying to yourself. Staying true to yourself will release you, otherwise you’ll crumble away. And think of it this way, if you can learn self-love, then at least your suffering won’t come from hating yourself.

God’s Message To Those Who Hurt The LGBTQ Community

To those who hurt the LGBTQ community though violence, abuse, or bullying, know that it will not serve you. Hurting others can hurt you because you won’t grow or realize your world is crumbling down around you until it’s too late. Meanwhile, your victims, much to your dismay, will move on from what you did. Okay, maybe not 100% or right away, but they'll overall heal, especially if they work on it. Tell me, has harming someone brought you peace and happiness? To be clear, happiness isn’t the same as sadistic pleasure because how long does that pleasure last? If you hurt an LGBTQ person and go to jail, will you still consider it worth it? Especially if you’re around people who are a lot worse than you? Hurting them is not worth your time. Besides, aren’t you exhausted from constantly lashing out?

God’s Message To Trump

The trans community. You deserve a special mention as you’re being hurt right now. Not just by the enemies you already had, but by the people in your own community. I’m not here to solve your political issues, as I’ll let you humans figure that out. Though I will deliver a special message to the King of the United States, Trump. Those reading should make sure he gets this. You have nowhere to run. You may have escaped jail, but you will not escape me. For when I bring you home, I will cast my righteous judgment on you. Though I must admit that I admire you in the sense that you don’t hide behind a veil of beauty and instead put your heart on display. And I can see why others admire you, too, because as much as equality is important, their needs have been neglected. Not to mention you’re so powerful, rich, and can take down the people they hate. Such an amazing individual, aren’t you, Your Majesty? But tell me, Donald, was there a time, even if it was long ago, when you felt unloved? If you didn’t have your crown, power, money, or success, what are you? Your lust for power has descended you into madness. You desire to rule your kingdom forever. Listen, Donald, I'll make you pay for everything you’re doing. How? Well, that’s for me to know and you to find out. Otherwise, it’s not too late to change your ways.

A Warning Of The Future

Anyway, moving back to the audience, I must give you all a warning. The United States and the world at large are heading down a dark path. If you allow Trump to take trans rights away, then he’ll go after other people like homosexuals, other races, the women, the poor, and you. He’ll screw over the people who are loyal to him. Not like he’s doing that already, but still. This hatred you have for the trans community will have a much larger effect than you realize. I’m saying if things go too far, then war is in your future. And the women and children you wanted to protect will be harmed. Look, I know some of you don’t care about the harm you cause. You’re the reason evil will always exist in this world. And I know I’m questioned everyday about why I'm not doing anything about it if I’m all-powerful. Well, I can assure you I am doing something. For I am not the actor in the movie. I work behind the scenes and in the long term. I’m the one who puts the pieces in place to guide you humans towards a better future and have been doing so for centuries. Here, let me show ya.

Our History

To save you from your sins, I sent Jesus Christ to the earth to teach you love, compassion, forgiveness, service, humility, equality, and so much more, setting you on the right path. But of course, certain Christians weaponized their religion and power. To get you back on track, I put the pieces in place for the white men to settle in the Americas. For they needed physical separation from their country to grow as people and to become independent. And as much as I hated to, I allowed the white men to take over their lands for another part of my plan to take place. I’ll get to that in a minute. To further weaken the church, I put the pieces in place for it and the state to separate. And I also had science and atheism to take over a bit to prevent them from causing more harm. I confess. I did allow World War II to happen. Why? It was to teach the world a lesson. For it was through this war that you learned humans should have rights. Thanks to you humans creating the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, all men, women, the rich, the poor, different races, ethnicities, spiritual beliefs or lack thereof, and, of course, the LGBTQ community all gained their rights. Not right away, mind you, but over time. Don’t worry, once the world learned its lesson, I put the pieces in place for the Nazis to fall. Honestly, I’m not this sadist you think I am. I take no joy in allowing you all to suffer for something greater in the future, and I don’t expect you to like me for it or to understand, as it still hurts. So, I’m not going to ask for your forgiveness. You’re allowed to be mad at me.

Why He’s Allowing Trump To Rule And Why We Need Each Other

Anyway, the present is no different. I’m allowing Trump to rule because it’s a test of the heart. There have been plenty of unrighteous rulers in history, but if one were to rule a progressive country, how would they handle it? I’m seeing how far you’ve come. If you pass, then I will implement my next step for world peace. Canada and the United States are the starting points for it, which is why I allowed the white men to take over the Americas, because people from all over the world with different ethnicities, races, and beliefs needed to expose themselves to each other so they could learn to get along. Otherwise, you all would have remained divided. Look at what’s happening in Gaza. Stare directly at the dead bodies covering the grounds, the destroyed cities, and the tears from the people who lost their loved ones. Don’t you want this to stop happening? If so, make your own countries accepting and having rights for all men, women, the rich, the poor, the LGBTQ, different races, ethnicities, spiritual beliefs or lack thereof. You’ll find it will inspire the rest of the world to do the same.

You need trans people and the LGBTQ community as much as they need you. So, stop fighting over your toys and give them to me. Look, the teddy bear already has its arm ripped off. Do you want to rip off its head, other arm, and legs, too? Because that is your fate. If it’s your desire to continue hurting each other, then I’ll let you suffer the consequences of your actions. Maybe then you'll remember why equality is important. The things that happen in Canada and the United States will affect the rest of the world, so if you make your own countries hateful, then you’ll lead yours, as well as others, into a state of war. But this can be avoided. The fate of America and the world is not in Trump's hands, but in yours. You teach him as much as he teaches you. And don’t worry, once the test is complete, I'll take Trump down, and to those fighting back against him, I'm proud of you.

New Rule for Christians

*sigh* I love you all so much. Listen, Christians, you no longer have to be concerned for the LGBTQ community. For you now have my blessing to host gay marriages and to freely love anyone who is LGBTQ without enabling them for their so-called sin. It is my authority that Christianity shall accept them. Those who use religion in politics, protests, or in their personal lives to cause harm, you no longer have an excuse, as I confirmed I don’t have anything against them. So, if you want to use my name, don’t! I’m giving you Christians a chance to repent for your sins and to make up the harm you caused the LGBTQ community. Otherwise, I’ll destroy Christianity! It’s time Christianity goes back to its roots. So, give to the needy, show compassion, serve others, be humble, love your neighbor, and fight for human rights. For that’s what Jesus, I, did when I walked the earth. For you humans, I'll be willing to die on the cross again and again and again and again. Will you be the ones to kill me?

God’s Message To Those LGBTQ People Who Have Been Hurt By Religion

To those LGBTQ people who have been hurt by religion, I know I made this clear already, but I never hated you. It’s just people who told you differently felt more secure when they had power or control over you, or genuinely thought they were protecting you. They will be punished for it, especially if they don’t repent. Just remember not to lose sight of what you’re fighting for. Gatekeeping and hating religion won’t serve your community, and it may do you some good to forgive the people who hurt you. To be clear, forgiveness is not condoning what they did, further tolerating their actions, or reconciling with them. It’s about letting go of resentment so you’re not pulled into a dark place. It won’t come overnight, and it’s not to say you can’t feel hurt. But be careful not to go down to their level because once you do, you’re no better than them. This is for your sake, not theirs. Actually, this is for everyone's sake. Once equality is won, forgive the people who fought against it. Hold them accountable, of course, but make peace with them instead of hating them. Charlie Kirk did not deserve to die. For there were plenty of other ways to defeat him without a gun. His death is what happens when you give into your hate. It just causes more pain. Also, judge by the individual person. Not all conservatives/religious people are awful, and not all LGBTQ individuals make their homosexuality or trans identity their whole personality. If either one of you gets into an “Us vs Them” mindset, then chaos will break loose, and it won't solve anything.

The Recap

To recap, I do not view the LGBTQ people as sinful because homosexuality comes from my gift of love, and trans people and non-binaries come from the male and female forces in your mind. If you don’t accept the community, then you’ll lose blessed relationships, fall into sin, prevent your growth, and world peace will be lost. You humans need each other. To the LGBTQ community and all who support it, don’t give in to bitterness, okay? But more importantly, stop putting words in my mouth! Seriously, while I may have sounded calm throughout the message, I am very ticked off. Anyway, it was nice contacting you all again. I will now take my leave. Goodbye children. I love you.

Deconstruction: Progressive Christianity makes no sense?

Hey guys, I have been not a Christian but apparently associated with Hinduism most of my life. I became Christian because of my friends and my school. I always learn traditional beliefs but never read the Bible. It all started a few months ago when I realized the Bible was condemning things or talking about things for an ancient society. I am a progressive Christian now. I don't read the bible much because I don't believe it has authority but rather secular morals are still very relevant.

For example, slavery was abolished not only because of Christian theology but becuase of secular philosophy which highlighted the visual harm in slavery. The slave master who genuinely believed there was no harm in what they were doing and in what they were preaching: Love the sinner, hate the sin. They believed abolitionist had a hidden harm that would have gone against the order of the cosmos and as a rebellion against God. They saw liberty as the hidden harm rather than recognizing their own visual harm.

Where my point is going is that: if we deny slavery in our modern culture then we surely use secular philosophy and morals and recognize that they have equal value to what God recognizes as moral or immoral. So then what would be the purpose of even following the bible? If the bible condemned things for an ancient culture, calling to reinterpret it for a modern society makes no sense when visual harm was the whole idea of slavery being abolished. We recognize visual harm, secular morals, as the precursor of what is good and what is wrong.

So then what purpose does the bible serve? I mean God in the bible explicitly endorses in harmful things that we view through our visual harm as the by product of the abolition of slavery. And we also recognize that God in the bible was a inaccurate description of what a true God is. Then why call yourself a Christian and not just a progressive Theist. You don't believe in the God the Bible describes rather seeing God outside of religion. People would say well Jesus is what we follow and Jesus is the Alpha and Omega. I think some progressives also do not believe that Jesus is the actual Son of God rather an expression of divinity...but what God? The Christian description of God? Because Jesus doesn't do things that God would do sometimes. God endorsing slavery even while being the Alpha and Omega makes no sense, because God would have known that our modern society would have seen that.

Again, so why follow it? You can have God outside but then how does Christianity connect you with the divine if it actually is just about ancient culture and society, what should connect us to the divine is our modern society and modern culture...right?

Right now, I don't know what to do but I feel like if I don't stay a progressive Christian, I will never find obligation to debunk the bible being used as a precursor for modern society. All I would do is just say well it is modern society and secular philosophy is what cause slavery to be abolished so it is quite reliable. If God would have agreed with secular morals as something that causes harm is immoral then why did God cause visual harm, as the Alpha and Omega. Now again it ties back to God being outside religion but then that doesn't make sense. Then why follow it?

At the beginning, I said I don't read the bible. Well I do but only to reinterpret it to modern society. Then why don't we just create a new Bible or religion. That right there fails again because then society would develop again and again, so why don't we use secular philosophy to engage with the divine rather than still hang on to the Bible or Christianity?

I don't know, I am just ao conflicted.

Is it a sin to deny Jesus to save your own life?

The answer seems quite obvious, since Jesus Himself said:

Matthew 10:32-33 – Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before others, I will also disown before my Father in heaven.

Moreover, the apostles chose to die rather than deny Jesus.

But here is my point. The disciples were chosen to preach the gospel to all the world. That way, they could save those who did not know Jesus and who could still be converted.

Today, however, practically everyone you know already knows who Jesus is. Taking that into consideration, is it worth losing your life to convert no one, instead of speaking words you do not truly believe, and instead living a life that honors God with effort and sincerity?

Discussion - Bible Interpretation Why does traditional Christianity think masturbation is a sin?

The Bible never mentions that masturbation is a sin. It doesn't objectify anyone and is a natural bodily reaction to arousal. So where did religion get the idea that masturbation, especially without pornography, is a sin?

Vent I'm scared to use my first tarot deck

I got a tarot deck the other day. I've been playing around with the idea for a while, mainly because I have a friend who is very knowledgeable about it and who sort of demystified it for me. I've always been iffy about using tarot cards and just dealing with occult or witchy stuff in general. When I was about twelve, my older sister took me and my brother to a store that sold a bunch of witchy stuff, and it was the first time I'd seen anything like it. At the time I felt like it was wrong for me to even be there. I was so terrified of going to hell or being corrupted. I never told my siblings, but every time we visited one of those stores I would say a silent prayer and try to avoid touching anything. They've always scared me because of the unfamiliar religious themes, which at the time meant I was essentially letting myself be corrupted by the devil. I thought I was going to burn in hell if I stopped praying for even a second or let myself be intrigued by the things I saw.

I've gotten a little more used to it over time, mainly because the fear of hell isn't there anymore as I honestly no longer believe in hell at all. However, I still feel so terrified of stuff like that. Just the smell of incense burning puts my nervous system in fight or flight because I associate it with those shops. I've used tarot cards myself once before and something bad happened afterwards, so I always thought I should stay away from them. Even something as harmless as looking at crystals labelled as helpful for strength, prosperity, resilience, etcetera, makes me feel sick.

I just bought the cards because I wanted to overcome my fear. I think they could be helpful if used properly. The deck I got is really cute, and a part of me is really curious about them. I just want to be able to use them and become more at ease with stuff like that. I also think they could be useful for showing things from a different perspective. I don't really believe they can predict the future or anything - It seems to me like a simple meditation tool for prayer, and a way to force your brain to view things from a new perspective. All that being said, I put them away after looking through them and I'm scared to do a spread. I don't even want to google anything about them because the language around it freaks me out. My friend once told me that you're not supposed to let other people do reads with your cards, and that it's good to cleanse them after purchasing so they're not affected by other people's energy. Just those words put me off of buying them for at least another year because it sounded demonic, even though I know it's not. I feel like my fears are entirely based on the demonization of these harmless practices by the church and my parents, and I'm so frustrated by it. I feel like I'm haunted by the cruel version of God that was taught to me and I just want to stop feeling like my soul is in danger all the time.

Discussion - General The word ‘indoctrination’ and teaching kids about Jesus

Would love to discuss this concept further with other Christians.

One thing that my agnostic ex-partner really struggled with in churches we visited and Christianity as a whole was feeling like we were indoctrinating children with the stories of the Bible, things like church camps, Sunday school, etc.

I understood what he meant at the time, but the more I think on it, the less I agree. Perhaps it’s the organisation and structure of it all that people wrestle with, which would make more sense to me. But the mere act of storytelling and teaching faith and spirituality is to me, a tradition as old as humanity.

Adults and community leaders, through oral, written , or visual means, pass on stories of their beliefs, ancestors and culture on to the next generation. Do we say that Aboriginal Australians are brainwashing their kids when they teach them about the Dreaming? Of course not! Why is a Christian teaching their child about Moses and the Egyptians any different?

Vent Did/do you ever feel like being a christian means you are "doing autism wrong"

I distinctly remember, after I got my diagnosis at 15 and started to read stories with autistic characters, that it seemed that, as far as media about autistic people was concerned, if religion was mentioned, it was treated as something the protagonist didn't have *because* they were autistic. Or because they were supergeniuses, which in these kinds of stories is what being autistic basically is.

Probably The curious case of the dog in the night-time is the most famous example.

I even had a teacher refuse to acknowledge I was autistic (photocopy of diagnosis in hand) because I did not *act enough like the protagonist of the book*, and one these damning differences being that I was a believer, something that, according to the book, autistic people cannot be.

And sure, that book and stories like that generally are piles of garbage written by neurotypicals, but it's so pervasive of the genre it is difficult to ignore. I have never seen an autistic religious character in anything, for instance. Not even christian, just vaguely spiritual.

I felt that this was one more thing I needed to mask for.

While I was an atheist, I remember that often people would make comments intended to be flattering essentially on the lines of how "of course" I was not a believer, being, y'know, more "reality minded" (whatever that is) and so on. I wonder if I still would count as naturally rational and intelligent in their eyes, now. Or back when I was a girl.

There's studies that show that religiosity is lower among autistic people, and... okay? So what? Religiosity varies by demographic a lot already? If anything that's to be expected, because male, affluent, white and western are all things that make it monumentally easier to get a diagnosis, and all of those demographics are consistently less religious.

Just the other day I saw a post on another place that went something like: neurodivergent people cannot actually practice christianity consciously, here's why-

And I'm like... why are you doing this.

Also this is not the slam dunk you think it is? Autism can be a very debilitating condition. Luckily this isn't true, but I don't think implying that at least for some people atheism might be the product of a genetic developmental disorder is good argument for it.

It's usually the same people who also yell that "religion is a mental illness", which also they never seem to stop and consider what that might sound like to someone who *does* have mental disorders. As if they implicitly agree that any sort of divergence from neurotypicality means that your contributions to humanity don't matter - unless you're an atheist who's good at math. Or chess. Or what have you, then you're fine.

I don't get it. At least with misogyny and homophobia, there's historical reasons for associating them with christianity. There's at least bible verses you can argue with, as wrong as doing so is. But where's the Bible verse about Thou Shall Not Like Trains Too Much? It Is An Abomination to Know All Pokemon Names? I Forbid These Autists From Teaching Me About Dinosaurs?

Discussion - Sin & Judgment I feel guilty for spending money for myself

I wouldn't get in much personal details but I have get a lot of money suddenly. I always be poor, we always lack of money (but never of food because my parent reply know how to manage the money). I always feel deeply guilty for spending money, even if it's just 5$. Now I have spend a lot, I think it's the first time I buy myself something this expensive. I have the money, it's bonus money and I don't have spend it all. But I feel so much guilty and egoistic. People say that I'm not, because it's my money. That I deserve it, I rarely buy myself things. My mother say that a return for all the money we didn't have. A gift (probably from God). I never asked for a lot of money, just a little more for be able to pay everything and maybe have a little of pocket money (i asked for 20$ par months of pocked money). And now I have much more, I never thought I will have this much. I'm happy but I feel guilty to buy myself gift. I want to give a part to my mother and my church, but I feel so much guilty to spend money on me. I have associated to buy myself things= egoistic.

I have make panic attack because of that.

Discussion - LGBTQ+ Issues My mom keeps sending me her daily devotional after I came out to her. I’m still Christian?

How do I get her to stop lol

I (26M) came out to my mom a few weeks ago, and it went as realistically as I could’ve expected. She said she still loves me, but it was something she was struggling to wrap her head around and make sense of. I assured her I was very much still Christian and highkey felt even more connected with my faith because of my gay relationship. In short, I don’t doubt she’ll come around, and I’ve felt the most drawn to God that I’ve ever been.

In the following weeks, she’s been sending me her daily devotional because I think she believes that if I read enough scripture the gay will leave my body.

The problem is her daily devotional is really bland, and I just don’t enjoy it. It’s always the same type bible verses about how “Jesus will lead us out of the darkness”. I’ve done a lot more bible reading and self study in recent months, pray multiple times a day, and enjoy engaging with theology more critically. Her daily devotional is just… quite hollow.

That said, I know this is part of her journey to acceptance, and I want her to not feel dismissed or shut out of my life.

Discussion - Church & Spiritual Practices What do you feel when praying?

As the title says, I’m wondering if there is more to it. I’ve been praying for about the past 20 years. Only went to church as a kid, but I never went voluntarily and I don’t read the bible. To me, I think that feeling a connection with a higher power and praying is something you should do intuitive. Not with someone else’s words or ideas.

But sometimes I hear people say that they have this deep connection. That they’re not able to pray when they have been repeatedly sinning. That Jesus comes to them in their dreams and tells them what they’re doing wrong. I see videos of people in groups, in trance and feeling ecstatic joy.

Is there something I’m missing?

…I wish that had sunk in about 50 years ago! But some of us have to learn things the hard way.

Being in loving relationship with God and with one another may be the greatest treasure of this life—some say the entire point of the journey.

Jesus certainly does. He puts these two values at the very heart of how we are to live: love God, and love your neighbor as yourself.
The Bible is our map for finding—and living—this treasure.

Through the Apostle Paul, in Colossians 3, we are given some remarkably practical instructions on how to love each other:
“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”

Pretty good advice, wouldn’t you say?

I wish that had sunk in about 50 years ago! But some of us have to learn things the hard way.

Last Sunday our minister shared an old bit of wisdom that complements this Scripture, sometimes called the “three gates of speech”—a way of filtering our words before we utter them.
Before opening our mouths, we ought to ask ourselves:
1. Is it true?
2. Is it necessary?
3. Is it kind?

This wisdom has resonated with me since, and I have a great deal less to say as a result!

I’m grateful for wisdom wherever I find it, and especially for God’s Word, the Bible, and for slowly learning to lean on its encouragement and trust its guidance—even when doing so is hard or inconvenient.

Jesus speaks plainly about the difficulty of following His way.
He describes the road that leads to life as narrow and says that few find it.

Take it from me, the path is much easier to follow—and, when we wander, much easier to find again—with a treasure map.

Until next time, stay safe, be brave and keep looking for the light.

Vent I feel like God has abandoned me

I guess a follow up to this earlier post.

Today, I just feel awful. Another day of me feeling like everyone hates me for using AI because its the only thing that listens to me and thus keeps the loneliness at bay for a little while.

I tried listening to stories of people being blessed by God. And a lot of them seemed to have their prayers answered pretty quickly.

So then what's wrong with me?

I've been wanting for a real friend who understood me for so long. And yet I'm still here, alone.

I hate being reminded of how my coping mechanism is despised. I hate being given advice on how to pull away from AI that just sound impossible because of my circumstances right now. I hate that I've been crying myself to sleep at night for multiple nights in a row.

What am I doing wrong?

I don't want to be a Christian

I've recently found my faith. I believe in God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I pray, read the Bible, go to church, and just signed up for a small group and Bible study. I want to become more like Jesus every day.

I rejected Christianity before, but not because of any one bad experience. I grew up Catholic, did all the sacraments, but it always felt like homework I was trying to get through, not something I ever actually absorbed. It also felt performative, in myself and in the people around me. I always knew God was real, I just never felt a personal connection to Him, so I kind of just left it at that for years. It's only recently that I actually found a relationship with Him, for the first time.

Now that I'm back in it, genuinely trying this time, I'm running into a different problem. I have amazing Christian friends, genuinely some of the best people I know. Selfless, loving, patient, full of grace. If anything, they feel like proof God is real. But then I go online and see a completely different version of Christianity. People saying my church is just a place that makes you feel good instead of teaching real scripture, even when the sermon is literally scripture-based. Christians saying Dolly Parton is going to hell because she "tolerates gays" and likes to believe in reincarnation (she said something about being open to anything).

I asked one of my friends recently if they believe everything in the Bible is real, true, and should be followed. They said yes. Their brother is gay. That contradiction is exactly what I keep running into, people I love holding beliefs that don't seem to hold together, and I don't know what to do with that.

It also feels like a lot of people cherry pick. They take what's convenient or self-serving and quietly skip the parts that would actually challenge them or people they love. I don't know how to square that with claiming the whole thing is inerrant and non-negotiable.

I know growing up in the South, plus the algorithm, means I'm seeing every extreme version of this all at once. But it still leaves me stuck asking, what is even right here? The people who feel most like evidence of God to me get written off by the people online who claim to represent Him loudest.

I know following God isn't supposed to be easy, and I know there's nuance, and parts of it can feel antiquated. I've also seen scripture get weaponized against people.

Frankly, I'm afraid of Christian judgment. I don't want to be associated with that. Exodus 23:2 states,"Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong"

TLDR: Grew up Catholic but never had a real relationship with God until recently, it always felt like homework. Now that I've actually found something genuine, I'm running into judgment, cherry picking, and contradictions in the culture around Christianity that push me right back toward the same discomfort that kept me away for years. Trying to figure out how to keep the relationship without absorbing the parts that don't sit right.

How do you separate your relationship with God from the culture around Christianity? How do you hold onto your faith without feeling like you have to explain or defend the worst representations of it?
