Checkup Procedure
f22 here, planning to have a checkup sa nearest obgyn. my cycle length for the past years were 30-37 days (is that normal?) pero last month was like 47 days. what im worrying about is the cycle length, acne, mood changes, and very very painful menstruation like there are times that i cannot move due to cramps and infuriating back pain.
question, what are some tests na iaask ng ob on my first checkup? i really need to know to prepare financially. gusto ko kasi malaman para alam ko ang sasabihin ko sa GP since i am about to work na.

On my first consultation, OB asked me to do thyroid test, fasting blood sugar, and transvaginal.

- FSB - ₱110
- TSH, FT3, FTF - ₱800
- Sa SGD ko to pinagawa directly kasi mas mura unlike sa ibang clinic na 600 or like 1k each yung thyroid testing
- Transvaginal Ultrasound - ₱990
Depende pa rin talaga sa OB mo kung anong ipapakuha niyang test sayo, before I went to the OB, I did Serum Test din kasi usually iaask ng OV kung sexually active or not, tapos ipag PT ka pa if yes. Depende rin sa location mo kung saan may mas mura, or if may tiyaga you, meron din sa mga public hospital sa pagkakaalam ko based sa mga nababasa ko.

Based on my experience, 8 months straight ako meron.
Nag-start ako mag-padoctor nung May 2026
Bakit ko pinatagal? Kasi hindi ako financially ready that time and kakalipat ko lng ng bagong work nun kaya inantay ko pa ma-regular ako para makuha ko yung benefit ng HMO. Nung time na nakapagcheck-up ako my OB asked me to do a lot of blood test lalo na para matukoy kung diabetics na ako and TVS. Nung nag-paTVS ako may nakitang 1inch nalaki na Polyp.
Ta-da! Ang taas ng sugar ko and pre-diabetic na ako. Then, she referred me to the Endocrinologist and she made me do SIS (Saline Infused Sonography) para makita kung Polyp ba siya talaga or blood clot sya, pero Polyp talaga siya.
Nung May at after nung first check-up ko with my OB nag-start na ako mag-diet (tanga no? eh kung maaga ko ginawa di sana ako tinubuan ng polyp). After 1 month of dieting and taking the supplements (OB prescribed), pills (OB prescribed) and my 3 month maintenance for my sugar and cholesterol (prescribed by my endo). Nag-improve yung period ko dahil kasi with the help of the pills.
Nung July, nag-pasurgery ako at tinanggal yung Polyp. Successful naman! Kaso super sensitive kasi ako nag-ccommute ako bawal ako tumayo at mag-lakad ng matagal kaya napipilitan ako mag-jeep instead of buses at dapat kapag maliligo is naka-upo na rin.

based on my exp, noong first time ko magpa-ob checkup dahil sa irreg mens is pinag ultrasound nila ako (trans r or trans v), even pregnancy test (i think ito depende sa ob mo if gagawin pa)
