I have the PSP my dad got me since my thirteenth birthday and I’ve been getting into tech a lot recently. I was wondering if there was a way to use a PSP as a cyber deck/something similar or if it’s possible to connect other hardware and run Linux on it? I assume SteamOS would do wonders for PSP gaming!

I put a n64 emulator on with a few roms but, the sound & some of the menus are super glitchy. Are there specific settings I need to enable to have the 64 games running smoothly?

I’m curious about the current availability of the PSP-3000 in India. Since it was discontinued quite a while ago, I’m wondering whether sealed/new-old-stock units are still known to exist here.

For people who collect PSPs in India, how common is it to come across original PSP-3000 units that are still factory sealed? Are there any particular things I should know about identifying an original factory seal versus a resealed or refurbished unit?

I’d also be interested to hear about the history of PSP availability in India and whether there were any official/local channels through which the PSP-3000 was originally distributed.

Not looking to buy or sell anything through this post just trying to understand the Indian PSP market and how collectors verify these units.

I just got and modded a psp, and games run fine on it, but whenever I save the data is always corrupted. would anyone know what the issue could be? is it my sd card? I didn't have any issues with installing games or firmware onto it. or is it just the psp itself?

Hi, I'm new here and don't have much of an idea about homebrew or plugins. I would like to know if there is an application to display my PSP screen on my PC over Wi-Fi since I don't have a cable! I have a psp 3000 with custom firmware

It looks like I'm having some problems with the new screen. I tried reconnecting the cables but it still isn't working. For now I'm putting the old screen back on until I have time to troubleshoot the issue

Every time I replace the faceplate to put in a glass lens - I get fitment issues. This seems to cause some sort of stick drift. Screws sometimes break the cheap plastic threading causing contact issues.

Any good way around this or just better analog sticks?

Hi there, I used a PSP back in high school as an all-in-one media device and am aiming for that experience again after getting another PSP recently. Which software do people use to edit and convert videos for the system?

For example, if I have a 20 minute episode of an Anime, I want to capture/cut out a 3 minute scene and then convert it to run on the PSP. I used to do this with Wondershare Video Converter back in the day I'm pretty sure.

Converting the videos is pretty straightforward, but finding something to edit them is the hard part. I could rely on actual editing software like DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro to do the editing for me, but that seems like a lot of hassle and extra re-encoding.

Over the last few days I have tried: Wondershare, Any Video Converter, Movavi, LosslessCut, Shutter Encoder and maybe a couple others. The software either crashes, can't edit a video with Subtitles and/or doesn't actually cut on the keyframes I specify. I tested the software with roughly 3 different files each.
